Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon-Chapter 674 - 673: Divine’s Brother
"The Clown is Immortal and he cannot die no matter what you do to him."
The moment Corey heard the Clown's talent, a surprised expression could not help but appear on his face.
Although he already knew that so many people would have wished to be immortal because so many people feared death.
However, after learning some things in the Underworld and knowing of the higher realms and Tiers of their universe, he knew that the Universal System had a way to circumvent people's wishes.
Take for example, if somebody wished to be Immortal, the Universal System would most likely make them a Tier 7 because at Tier 7, one is basically Immortal.
Some might see this as a good thing, but for those who desired to reach the peak of power and who were dedicated to climbing the path of power, everybody knows that such a thing was extremely detrimental to the individual.
Not only would the Universal System make the individual to be an extremely weak Tier 7, the individual would find it extremely difficult to advance to higher Tiers because of their terrible foundation.
Another example of somebody wishing to be Immortal can be that the person wished to not die.
The Universal System can decide to fulfill such a wish by making the person a ghost, spirit, or an undead.
So many people believed that the Universal System was like a demon or an extremely evil and sadistic being because of some of its actions.

However, despite all of these sadistic behaviors by the Universal System, so many powerhouses desired to have the core of a Blessed World in their hands or an opportunity for the Universal System to grant them a wish.
Most of these powerhouses had already reached high realms of power and the knowledge they had was extremely vast, so they knew they sort of wishes they needed to make to advance to the peak of power.
Instead of wishing to be Immortal or to be a god or to be Omniscient or Omnipotent, they would wish for something that they were 100% certain would help them in their rise on the path of power.
A lot of people speculated that the reason why Blessed Worlds were only given the opportunity to make a wish before the apocalypse began was so that the denizens of the planet would have no idea on the best wishes they should make.
The thought process of a Tier 0 Unawakened Mortal was worthless before the thought process of a Tier 8 or Tier 9.
Corey learnt all of these from the books he recorded in the Inner Library of the City of Sin, and when he learnt all of these, he always wondered why he was given the talent of Omniscience.
He had wished for Unlimited Wisdom, Knowledge, and Understanding, and as a result of this, the Universal System gave him the talent of Omniscience.
He knew that no matter what, he was not the only person with the talent of Omniscience, and he always wondered what the others with the talent of Omniscience in their Universe wished for to get the talent of Omniscience.
He also wondered what it was that Pamela wished for to have an unlimited amount of energy.
And now, he wondered what the Clown wished for to be Immortal.
"You're not saying anything."
Divine's voice brought Corey out of his thoughts, and Corey looked at Divine for a few seconds before he responded.
"I don't know what to say... I'm just shocked and surprised."
Divine chuckled, "Of course you'll be surprised. Who the fuck would not be surprised by his talent?"
Divine clenched his fists tightly and looked down, "Do you know how absurd and heaven defying it is to cut off the head of somebody, destroy his heart, and burn his entire being into pieces? Only for him to come back to alive with a damn smile?"
"If his talent was just to be Immortal, then that would not be so much of a problem. But guess what, this guy has the talent to also steal the abilities and talents of those he killed and absorbed their blood."
"Not only is the bastard Immortal, he's also extremely talented because he just has to kill you then he'll take your talent and abilities for himself."
"Oh, and guess what. The bastard is also insane and stupidly smart."
Divine slammed his fist on the table made out hexagons, but not a single crack appeared on it.
Corey glanced at the table he created, and then he shifted his gaze to Divine who was gritting his teeth with bloodlust and rage in his eyes.
Corey sighed softly, and then he clapped.
"Hey, hey, hey. It's alright. I don't care if you want to be angry or go on a killing rampage, but don't you dare burn down my room and my fucking headquarters."
Divine was taken aback, and then he looked around. When he did, he saw that the temperature in the room was extremely high and in a few seconds, Corey's room was going to catch on fire.
Divine quickly absorbed the heat in the room and then exhaled a breath of cool air to return the room back to its normal temperature.
"Sorry about that." Divine rubbed the back of his head with an embarrassed smile, and Corey merely shook his head.
He grabbed his cup of coffee and placed it in his mouth, but when he saw that it was already cold, his lips could not help but twitch.
He was about to drop his mug but Divine pointed at it, and in the next second, its temperature rose.
Corey glanced at Divine with a weird look in his eyes, "I guess you can be our refrigerator, heater, and thermometer."
"What?" Divine stared at Corey with a dangerous look in his eyes, and Corey took a sip of his coffee while looking away.
"Nothing. I was just mumbling nonsense."
"Better." Divine clicked his tongue, and Corey had the urge to say something but he refrained himself.
The room became silent but this time around, the atmosphere was not tense but calm.
Corey took a sip of his coffee with a calculating light in his eyes, and then he dropped the cup of coffee.
"By the way, what is the name of your elder brother and how does he look like?"
"Who knows, I might see him after we leave the Underworld and it'll be bad if we mistakenly become enemies and either one of us dies to the other."
Corey joked with a light tone, and Divine chuckled softly as he went through his pockets.
"True. That would be terrible. But knowing my brother, I doubt you'll be able to defeat him even with how talented you are. My brother is not only extremely talented, he's also extremely cunning and ruthless... Even more than you."
Corey raised his brows with a curious expression, "Is that so?"
"Ah, there it is."
Divine exclaimed and handed Corey a picture. Corey grabbed it with one hand, and Divine went through his pockets once again.
"I think I have another picture of him, but I'm not sure. Anyway, my brother's name is Kyle... Kyle Riggs."
"Oh yeah, you don't know. But my full name is actually Divine Riggs. Although my family is called the House of..."
Divine kept on talking without looking at Corey, but if he did, he would be stunned to see the look on Corey's face as he stared at the picture in his hands.
In the picture was an image of his previous friend, a friend he killed with his hands when he was just a Tier 0, Kyle.
