Signing-In: The Lazy Moon Goddess-Chapter 581: Feng Bingrui

After Feng Binglu left, the hailstorm under his control had returned to normal. This allowed those who were dying because of this unexpected calamity to survive. By the time Tan Bingyu had woken up from her nap, what welcomed her was an unfamiliar ceiling and room. She looked around and did not find Baimei and Xue Renxue. She spread her divine consciousness to look for them and saw that they were in the kitchen preparing food for her.

While Tan Bingyu is waiting for her dao companion and spirit beast to return, she sits on the bed with her back leaning at the head of the bed as she looks over at the open windows where she can hear the cheerful voices of the villagers as if they are celebrating something that made them happy.

"Xiao Bing, are you awake?" The voice from the opposite side of the door was owned by the village chief, Xue Lira.

Tan Bingyu responded, "Please come in."

The door opened and the Village Chief Lira arrived bringing some tea for her.

Village Chief Xue said, "The meal will take a while to be served. Have some tea while you wait. How are you feeling? Rui-ge said you have overused your qi and had been sleeping for three days."

"Thank you, Chief Xue," said Tan Bingyu.

Tan Bingyu slowly enjoyed the tea. After spending a lot of tea time with her mistress, she ended up having a habit of drinking only the best tea leaves. She was surprised that this tea served to her looks simple but the taste is mellow and refreshing.

"Good tea!" Tan Bingyu praised.

Xue Lira looked at Tan Bingyu with a doting smile. Normally, she would look at them with a bit of distrust due to them not telling their background. But things are different right now, Tan Bingyu felt the usual kindness of an elder which they only felt towards Feng Bingrui after learning that they were his future descendants.

Tan Bingyu says, "You know. Did Bing-Laozu tell you everything?"

"Why not say that your dao companion’s loose tongue had slipped instead?" Xue Lira said as she served her another cup of tea and one for her as well.

Tan Bingyu said, "I’ve tried telling you everything before but was restricted too. Only Bing-Laozu can tell you about us. Do you believe him?"

"I forgot to tell you before because you had fainted," the village chief, Xue Lira, lowered her head before Tan Bingyu and said, "Thank you for saving us and the village."

Tan Bingyu immediately helped her up as this kind of action was something she can receive from an elder which is at the position of being their ancestor.

She said, "I’ve only done what should be done at that time. There is no need for such a gesture."

"Alright. I will listen to you. How are you feeling? Would you like to see the village? We are having a festival right now. Consider it a celebration for survival. There should be lots of things to eat later." Xue Lira said.

Tan Bingyu said, "I will go with A’Ren and Xiao Bai later. Please go ahead and accompany Bing-Laozu instead, Xue-Laozu."

"Haha~ okay. Rui-ge already told me everything and the village already knew that he is a phoenix as well. Now they are all waiting for him to hatch as they say that your phoenix form is so gorgeous," said village chief Xue. She took her leave after bumping into Xue Renxue and Baimei on her way out.

Watching Xue Renxue walk around Tan Bingyu while being so clingy made her feel that youthful love is definitely the sweetest.

Tan Bingyu, Xue Renxue and Baimei stayed for another two weeks in the village. During those days, Xue Lira and Feng Bingrui had taught them everything they knew.
