Chapter 957: Chapter 955: DEPARTURE

While Diamond was all giddy, thanks to the new asset, elsewhere, someone was sweating buckets as he looked at the documents sent to him after a very short and concise call.

"How did this happen?"

It still felt like a dream and one that he hoped was entirely wrong.

He was the man in charge of the Nexus Center building, put in charge of it by the man who saved him greatly and the man he owed his success to. And yet, who could have thought that one day he would change bosses?

He had never thought, that one day, the building will change owners. After all, all tenants paid on time and even if they didn’t play, there were still many companies dying to take that spot.

Every month, the rent collected alone would amount to millions, even after removing the operational expenses and other sorts of expenses. So why would his savior sell the building to someone?

It wasn’t just someone but it was none other than the recent famous e-celebrity whose wealth had been questioned a lot.

In fact, he was one of the people who were skeptic. After all, what was truly there for them to judge her on?

Every time, listening to his wife and children talking happy about Diamond, he was always sour. He didn’t believe that she was upright and her source of money did seem suspicious. However, looking at that familiar name on the documents, he didn’t know how to think for a moment.

It took him a long time before he accepted reality. Knowing that he needed to adapt if he wanted to remain the business world and recalling his savior’s words, he could only take a deep sigh and accept reality.

After making up his mind and checking the time, he picked up his phone and dialed the number on the contract. After several rings, a melodious voice answered and the world went blank.

---------

On Diamond’s side, after chatting with the representative and setting up and appointment, she stored what remained in her room into her storage ring before leaving the room after giving it one long look and went to join her family downstairs for breakfast.

After breakfast, except for the suitcases they came with, everything else had been stashed away by Diamond. Th family of four plus the bodyguards left the villa, heading towards the airport.

On the way there, the family of four had a lot of great time chatting and everyone was in a jovial mood.

It wasn’t long until they arrived there. The family parted on good terms and the Perry parents watched emotionally as their daughters vanished from their sights before leaving dejectedly.

As for the sisters, after sorting out everything, they finally boarded the plane thirty minutes later in business class and both started doing their own things.

An hour later, the plane took off and the flight was very peaceful. The Perry sisters arrived safely and Will and Admire were there to pick them up.

No one knew that the Perry sisters have landed, so they weren’t targeted by anyone this time, which was a huge relief.

From the airport, they headed to Cherry Court, where they were dropped off by the bodyguards before they took their leave, leaving the sisters to take a rest while waiting for a hot meal from Auntie Janet, who had also taken a vacation when they were gone.

As for Waylon, an emergency rose, making it impossible for him to come and pick Diamond up. It was a pity.

The sisters didn’t need to rest, since they weren’t that tired. And now back, it meant that they were about to get busy again. And that led to a serious question; what was Ruby going to do that vacation?

So, the sisters sat in the lounge after their hearty meal to talk about that.

Ruby had enough time to think about where she would want to work and Diamond wasn’t going to stop her from doing whatever she wanted.

With that in mind, she opted for an open mind.

Ruby had though about it for a long time and was no longer muddleheaded. So, she was pretty much confident, when she answered Diamond.

"Sis, I want to intern at Honest Diamond’s Place."

After so much deliberation, Ruby felt like going to a place where she could study more about finance would do her good.

In the beginning, she wanted to return to the foundation but her thoughts changed and was tempted to intern at the studio. However, after the quarrel with her friends, she became determined to learn as much as she could about managing her finances. And the best place to do so was that company.

After all, they were in the lending business. They were professionals.

When Diamond heard that, she didn’t put Ruby on the spot or made things difficult for her. Rather, she readily accepted her choice and made a call to the person in charge to inform that Ruby would start her internship there.

They should prepare a proper position where she could learn as much as she could in the short time available before the new semester starts.

Ruby was very happy to see her sister arranging for her quickly like that. However, reality suddenly dawned on her.

She hasn’t prepared the formal uniform for work. Amongst Diamond’s companies, so far, only two companies were wearing uniforms. The others, it was slightly difficult to implement that.

The trading company wore anything gray at the bottom and on top, it was ether white or beige.

As for the lending company, it was navy blue with either white or light blue shirts or blouses.

With that in mind, Ruby knew that she was running out of time. She hastily bade her sister goodbye before leaving in her car, heading towards the biggest shopping mall.

She wanted to buy formal wear and Diamond didn’t plan on lending a hand at all.

She chuckled heartily watching Ruby leaving, not worried about her safety at all. With a Ghost Merchant guarding her, what else does she need to worry about?

With Ruby gone, she didn’t feel like lounging anymore and picked the SUV form the garage before heading out as well.

It’s been ages since she saw her ancestral home in person.

She was looking quite eager to see the place.
