Avia City was a beautiful city and one that Diamond was willing to enjoy and admire.

Perhaps it was because winter was coming, but some of these trees were already shedding leaves. Instead of the scenery looking ugly, it had this certain beauty which was quite appealing to the eye.

Diamond didn’t have the luxury of seeing all the wonderful places in the city, so she could only travel to the places that were very important. Such places include a very famous mall where Richard had booked a full body spa treatment for both of them.

"We need to feel refreshed before we party all night. What do you think?"

Receiving such a statement, how could she say no?

Diamond who had nearly forgotten what it was like getting a spa treatment readily agreed and spent some good hours having her body done but didn’t get her hair done.

When it comes to doing her hair, it usually takes several hours, and they didn’t have such hours to waste.

After the spa treatment, Richard treated her to a luxurious meal at a celebrity restaurant where they came across several e-celebs broadcasting on PikTok, Ioniq and Acebook. It was another interesting sight to see for her.

After the meal, the two went for some shopping. Though Diamond didn’t really need any new clothes or shoes. Richard was so domineering; Diamond couldn’t help herself after being dragged into several local and high-brand shops.

As a result, they left the shops with several shopping shops. If it wasn’t because the sportscar they came with didn’t have much space for luggage. They would have shopped for much longer.

While the two were busy shopping to their hearts’ content, a certain someone was all gloomy as he sat in the office looking at the live broadcast of the two people in particular.

"Have you found out who that girl is yet?" the young man asked icily, as he hatefully glared at Diamond in particular who was too cozy with Richard.

The person who was being asked cleared his throat as he adjusted his glass, while inwardly cursing the other for being too jealous. What was there to be jealous of?

It wasn’t like Richard, and that lady would have an affair.

Who didn’t know that Richard was gay and not bi?

However, as a subordinate, it was his duty to ease his boss’s worries.

"Sir, that girl is called Diamond Perry. She turned twenty-seven in March and happened to be a close friend of master Richard," the secretary truthfully relayed part of the information he had found after so much struggle.

The young man was dazzled when he heard that.

"She is twenty-seven and not like twenty-three or something?" he couldn’t help but ask in astonishment, finding Diamond’s appearance quite deceiving.

The secretary grimaced when he thought about how shocked he was also when he learnt about that.

"She is exactly that age. Anyway, she is the firstborn out of two and she and her baby sister live in Frin City. She is a famous influencer aka e-celebrity with more than twenty million global fans."

The secretary continued to share the information that he could find publicly.

"She is also a businesswoman, running a farm, having several endorsements but I do believe that there are other things that she is doing but can’t be found."

The secretary also informed his boss about how all vital information seemed to be hidden. It was as if there was a force covering for her and upon hearing that, the young man fell into deep thoughts.

"Okay, you continue to keep an eye on her. I guess I will see more of her later at the banquet."

The secretary nodded in affirmation and continued to listen to more instructions.

Around 4 pm, the gang returned to the mansion and when they got there. They started getting busy.

The banquet was going to start around 8 pm and to reach the resort, they would have to drive for an hour or so. So, they didn’t have much time to play around.

The two separated and went to their respective rooms. The first thing both of them did which was in unison was to take a shower and cleanse themselves from the sweat and dust.

After that, Diamond naturally took out a beautiful black and white bodycon dress from her suitcase which she matched with some pearls for jewelry.

She picked a nice pair of black pearl-studded stilettos and adorned a pretty anklet around her right ankle. She tied her hair into a high ponytail and added some beautiful hairpins to add some flavor to the whole outfit.

Once done, she applied a bit of makeup, and lipstick and sprayed cologne to smell pretty nice.

Done with the overall outfit, she took out a shawl which she covered herself with since she didn’t feel like wearing a blazer on top.

She checked briefly if she had missed anything and while doing so, she didn’t forget to put on her ear pod to communicate with Andrea. Once that was done, she picked up her clutch and merrily left her bedroom.

On her way downstairs, she came across Richard who was wearing a white tuxedo which outlined his features very well.

The party had a dress code, and it happened to be black or white. That’s why they were wearing such colors.

"Ohh~ohh~" Diamond playfully whistled the moment she spotted Richard whose clavicle was in the open. The man simply had several buttons undone, and the image was simply too heavenly.

Richard knew how to take care of his body. He was lean but with muscles where they should be. If he wasn’t gay, he would have matched her aesthetics pretty well. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

Richard chuckled when he saw Diamond teasing her but at the same time couldn’t help but admire her choice of clothes. He didn’t know which brand she was wearing but once again she had nailed it.

The two friends shamelessly took selfies in the passage hall before making their way downstairs where they briefly sat at the dining table and had a light meal.

After the meal, the two went outside where the driver was already waiting with one of the sedans from the garage.

The two friends sat in the backseat where they happily chatted about the upcoming banquet.

While they headed to the resort, at the banquet venue, there were guests already appearing.

"I still can’t believe that this year’s party is on such a small scale!"

"I am glad to be here. I can’t wait to see him!"

"Umph! What’s there to see? It’s not like you can have a piece of him?"

"I might not have but he is still a friend. Can’t I be happy?"

"Umph! You just want to show off your present. Isn’t that it?"

These close friends were busy bickering as they made their way to the reserved hall where the banquet was being held.

Unlike the previous years when Richard had a large party with a lot of guests, they didn’t know what came over him to downscale the party this time.

For his twenty-seventh birthday, Richard invited three hundred guests to the party and yet this time, it would be a miracle if the people reached even a hundred.

It wasn’t like he was going bankrupt. So why the need to do something like that?

However, what these guests didn’t realize was that all of them had one thing in common. They were very close to Richard, and he considered them bosom friends.

Rather than inviting unnecessary people who only talk ill behind his back and were there for other purposes. Richard learnt from Diamond’s lowkey banquet and decided to follow in her footsteps.

There weren’t a lot of people at her birthday banquet but they had a lot of fun. They weren’t restrained and played however they wanted. That was only possible because those closest to her surrounded her. He decided to use what he learnt and make this party something that would always put a smile on his face.

Among the guests, there was a familiar face that Diamond would recognize, Clarissa. She didn’t sleep over at Richard’s. That place was too huge with a few people. She preferred staying at his parents’ house. The house was warmer and with a lot of people.

As she and others waited for Richard and Diamond to arrive. She was busy chatting with Richard’s sister and a friend of the sister.

"When do you think that he will arrive?" the sister curiously asked as she impatiently held her phone.

Clarissa thinking about the message that recently entered the group chat a while ago, looked at Lisa with a smile and gave an answer, "They should be here in fifteen minutes or so!"

Lisa’s eyes lit up when she heard that. She excitedly held Clarissa’s elbow and started shaking her. "Really? Does that mean that I will see her in just a moment?"

Clarissa smiled faintly as she saw the excitement on Lisa’s face. She couldn’t blame the other at all. Just like several millions of people out there, Lisa was a victim who happen to stan Diamond and like her very much.

"Um. You will see her in a bit!"
