Shrouded Seascape-Chapter 1103. 010
Chapter 1103. 010
Green fluorescent tentacles spanning hundreds of meters were piled on top of the radiant sun that was more than ten kilometers in length.
The two streaked across the sky at breakneck speeds, leaving behind a green tail that resembled a shooting star's tail.
In the end, Lily still managed to convince Sparkle. Even if the chance was incredibly low, Sparkle had to attempt it on the off chance that it could save her father.
She didn't want her daddy to die, and she also didn't want her daddy to forget her.
"Are you sure that 010 is over here?" Sparkle asked. Since 010 disappeared from the entrance to the Core, it was never seen again. Thus, Sparkle was doubtful whether Lily was truly aware of its whereabouts.
The sun's booming and ethereal voice echoed in Sparkle's mind. "I'm sure of it. I saw it in that plane, and many things happened due to its special characteristics."
Lily recalled the decades that she had experienced in those time loops. Soon, the warm sunlight of the sun illuminated the massive ice wall that seemed to have engulfed the unknown sea region before them.
"Don't touch the snow and the ice here. They're very dangerous," Lily said thoughtfully before increasing her surface temperature.
Beneath the scorching heat of the sun, the ice wall started melting, and the humanoid fissures hidden deep in the ice rushed out of the ice. They stared at the ball of light that was trying to snatch away its spoils.
However, the tables had turned completely between the two sides—the humanoid fissures no longer posed any threat to Lily, unlike their previous encounter.
As the radiant sunlight illuminated the unknown sea region, the bone-chilling sea breeze began to turn warm and eventually became scorching hot. The snow drifting in the air and the icebergs on the sea surface melted rapidly in the heat.
Soon, 010 emerged from its ice prison and appeared before Sparkle and Lily. The cluster of interconnected bubbles rapidly shifting colors was a sight far beyond the limits of human perception.
Thus, this was Lily's first time seeing 010. She heard from Charles that 010 was a special entity capable of altering time. 010 was the reason why Bandages managed to return to the past.
"What do we do? Do we ask it to control time for us?" Lily asked. She had no idea what to do next.
"Personally, I suggest you do what Daddy did with the V12 Containment Site's planar teleporter. Assimilate that thing and use it as if it were one of your organs," Sparkle replied.
Charles couldn't travel between planes, but he had obtained the ability to do so by assimilating the entire V12 Containment Site. Sometimes, one ought to seize certain abilities for themselves, as some abilities just couldn't be learned.
Before Lily could reply, the distant 010 stirred, expanding and contracting rhythmically as it slowly faded away.

"Oh no, it's going to run to a different point in time!"
There was a flash of white light, and Lily instantly appeared next to 010. Tentacles covered with fluorescent eyeballs wrapped around 010.
As soon as those tentacles phased through the bubbles, the massive tentacles retracted rapidly until they were just a few meters long.
010 had turned back time, making Sparkle's limbs regress to when she was just born.
Meanwhile, 010's figure became almost transparent. It was about to leave the present time. At the critical juncture, a radiant light erupted from Lily, engulfing everything, including 010's semi-transparent figure.
Every ray of sunlight was Lily's eyes and limbs. She made use of the sunlight piercing 010 to latch onto it, preventing it from escaping. Lily had no idea when she had that ability, but she instinctively made use of it.
As Lily walked closer and closer to 010, the radiant sunlight became even more powerful.
The scorching sunlight extended and encroached on the parts of 010's body, which had already disappeared into different points in time. She followed the outline of 010's figure, forcing the other parts of 010's body to manifest in the present time.
"I'm sorry, but I need your power. However, don't worry, I'm going to let you leave once I've mastered it," Lily said apologetically to 010. Of course, she had no idea whether the other party could understand her.
010's struggle became even fierce. Semi-transparent tendrils appeared out of thin air and lashed at Lily, but the attacks were completely useless against the latter.
"Please don't move, okay? I really don't want to hurt you!" Lily exclaimed. Her light made the nested bubbles appear as if they were covered with a layer of gold.
Just then, the surroundings rapidly changed, and Sparkle disappeared along with it. The tiny icebergs on the sea down below also disappeared. In no time, the desolate and pitch-black seafloor began to harbor things that weren't supposed to be there.
Before Lily could react, she caught a glimpse of fishing boats and exploration vessels scampering off with smoke billowing out of their smokestacks.
Then, Lily witnessed a fierce battle at sea. However, the ships on the chaotic sea looked antiquated, unlike the ships that were familiar to Lily.
The ships down below seemed to rely on sails to move, while the sailors fighting against each other were dependent on boarding the ships of their enemies and fighting at close combat quarters.
It was a very peculiar sight for Lily. It had been many years since the Albion Isles invented the turbine engines, so how could there be such outdated ships in the Subterranean Sea?
Just then, the wooden ships disappeared, and an even more bizarre scene unfolded before Lily's eyes. An aircraft carrier appeared before them, and it was carrying what looked like a colossal key that was several stories high.
The aircraft carrier's insignia and the unique clothing worn by the people on the ship reminded Lily that she had seen them before—the insignia belonged to the Foundation! And the ship was from the Foundation, too!
The Foundation no longer exists, so why is their ship down there? Lily recalled the bizarre scenes that she had just witnessed prior to this, and she immediately came to a certain conclusion.
Oh no, 010 is taking me to the past. Time is going backward for us! Upon realizing that, Lily immediately tightened her grip on 010. She absolutely couldn't let go of it, or she would be completely abandoned in this unknown point in time!
The colossal sun split open like a watermelon, engulfing the nested bubbles. Then, Lily made use of her sunlight to permeate every inch of 010's figure and examine it closely.
She wanted to learn how 010 was manipulating time. 010's ability to control time concerned not just Charles' hope for survival, but it was also the key to whether Lily could return to the present time!
Analyzing a relic was utterly unthinkable for mere humans, but as a Divinity, it was as easy as taking candy from a baby.
As Lily's sunlight pervaded 010's form, obscure knowledge streamed into her mind. Lily's radiant figure was immediately tinged with 010's colors.
This is fine! I just need enough time, and I can definitely learn and master that power, Lily thought.
The scenery around Lily peeled away. This time, time was no longer going backward. The flow of time was moving forward rapidly, and it was getting faster and faster.
Upon realizing that it couldn't deal with Lily using the past, 010 decided to bring Lily to the distant future!
