Showbiz Scandal: The Official Announcement of My Ex and Myself-Chapter 152: Kiss Scene?
As everyone knows, Xi Heng is another ex-boyfriend of Yu Xia.
Unlike Yu Zhi, Xi Heng is not a celebrity but a financial company boss who has also collaborated with her brother’s company.
Yu Xia hadn’t heard anyone mention Xi Heng for a long time, so when he brought up the name, she was momentarily dazed before saying, "Oh, I almost forgot about him until you mentioned it. Who told you to be so annoying in the show, ex-boyfriend."
Saying this, she looked at him strangely, causing the hairs on the back of his neck to stand up.
"What are you looking at me for?"
"I say, Yu Zhi, why do you have that sour tone, could it be you want to..."
She stopped mid-sentence, but her meaning was clear.
Yu Zhi simply grabbed her hand and forced her into a 360-degree spin.
"You’re overthinking it, even the one who mends mirrors can’t put a broken mirror back together."
Back then, she dumped him for her career, so trying to go back to him now, what can that bring? Even fans would feel it’s unworthy for him, not to mention that she might kick him again for her career. Why bring disgrace upon himself? 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
He hadn’t thought of getting back together, although occasionally he couldn’t help but pay her a bit more attention, but that’s as far as it went.
Yu Xia wanted to retort how getting back together isn’t impossible after hearing his words, but thinking that saying it might lead to misunderstanding, she held back and nodded, "Makes a lot of sense. So just take it out in the show."
Speaking of which, Yu Zhi got even more upset.
"Shouldn’t I be the one to vent? But in the show, it’s only you letting off steam!"
"Well, if you’ve got the ability, take on the female lead, but taking the male lead is where you lose out."
"......" He didn’t want to rehearse anymore and directly started filming with her.
The first take of Scene 102 of "Different Paths," clapboard.
...
Gu Zhun was in a particularly good mood today.
After the new product launch, Qiao Yun had taken the initiative to invite him to dance.
It was the first time Qiao Yun had been nice to him in a while, and he barely had time to discern his own happiness before following her into the dance floor.
Today, Qiao Yun was dressed magnificently, incredibly beautiful. Her smile, which softened from its usual sharpness, was sweet and gentle, leaving Gu Zhun bewildered.
In the past during their romance, she was just so sweet and demure. He especially liked her like this, indulging her so much that even friends couldn’t watch it anymore.
How long had it been since she last smiled at him like that?
Gu Zhun remembered the past, as the tension between them seemed to vanish. He softened his tone, "You look really beautiful today, this dress suits you well. The jewelry set I bought at the Tamchi auction is still with me; I’ll give it to you later, didn’t you like it?"
Qiao Yun smiled charmingly, quipping, "It is nice. But I’ve found something I like more, so forget about your set. I don’t exactly lack jewelry."
Gu Zhun pursed his lips, "Alright, I’ll get you something even better when I see it."
"Sure, thanks in advance."
They hadn’t danced long when someone in the crowd called Gu Zhun’s name, his expression briefly complex, then he apologized to Qiao Yun and hurried away.
Qiao Yun watched him leave, just as a waiter passed by, she casually took a glass of red wine, masking her unclear smile.
Soon, Gu Jue entered from the doorway, and people immediately swarmed around him to chat. Although still in college, he had been placed in the company to gain experience, waiting to hold high office like his brother after graduation.
So, many people sucked up to him.
In contrast, Qiao Yun, who now held the same rank as Gu Zhun, being an executive director of the partnered companies, mostly attracted either men with ulterior motives or women chatting about clothes and jewelry, rarely discussing business.
She curled her lips into a mocking smile, and when she saw Gu Jue glancing her way, her smile deepened as she lazily waved him over.
Gu Jue hesitated, walking towards her, but before he got close, she gracefully glided into the crowd holding her wine glass.
He stood there for half a minute before continuing after her.
Qiao Yun finally stopped by a window in a corner, with a small balcony jutting out, shielded by heavy curtains, leaving only vague glimpses from the dance floor.
Seeing her in an elegant dress and high heels, smiling with a wine glass in hand, gave Gu Jue a slight chill, making him pause a few steps away.
"Qiao Yun, sis, did you... need something from me?"
"Can’t I look for you without a reason? Come closer."
He didn’t dare get too close, but seeing her smile fade, he had no choice but to grit his teeth and step forward cautiously, his shirt nearly brushing against her bare arm.
Qiao Yun carelessly flicked her hair and asked, "Just arrived? Have you seen your brother?"
"No, isn’t he here?" At such events, it’s usually Gu Zhun and Qiao Yun hosting the partners together. Now, with only Qiao Yun alone... He frowned slightly.
"Then he’s off playing again," she said plainly, then seemed to recall something, lifting her eyes to gaze at Gu Jue.
Gu Jue’s heart skipped, abruptly stepping back, but Qiao Yun caught his wrist with such a light grip, he couldn’t move.
Then she took a sip of red wine, gazing into his eyes, and leaned in slowly.
As their lips were about to meet, she raised her wine glass, pouring it down the collar of Gu Jue’s shirt, the wine instantly staining it red, chilling him into a shiver.
Before he could react to why she did that, his tie was yanked down, and Qiao Yun kissed him.
Gu Jue was shocked to his core. Logic screamed this was wrong, he needed to stop immediately and leave, but inexplicably, he seemed to lack even the strength to pull away.
It started as a one-sided kiss, lazy and indifferent from Qiao Yun, leaving Gu Jue embarassed and angry, so he finally pinned her against the wall, aggressively kissing her back.
Then came an outraged shout.
"What are you doing?!"
Gu Jue snapped back to reality as if caught in the act, his face turned pale, releasing her and turning to face the furious Gu Zhun.
The only calm one was Qiao Yun. She wiped the corner of her mouth, tucked the wine glass into Gu Jue’s hand, and walked past without sparing a glance.
Gu Zhun grabbed her, "Qiao Yun!"
"What, just a game, if you can play, so can I. As long as it doesn’t affect our cooperation. Let go."
Leaving behind vague words, she patted Gu Zhun’s hand, bulging with veins, and left without looking back.
So good, with the two brothers likely to cause a fuss tonight, she could give Gu Zhun a bigger surprise tomorrow, toppling him from the CEO’s chair.
Tsk, his expression would be priceless then.
"Cut!"
Yu Xia immediately exhaled in relief, sagging her shoulders as she headed back, handing tissues to the actor playing Gu Jue, then nonchalantly wiping her mouth as she approached behind the camera.
Kiss scenes weren’t new to her; she was entirely devoid of that shy younger brother’s awkwardness.
Mei promptly offered a cup of water, and as Yu Xia walked to the side, she whispered, "Don’t worry, sis, if Xie Qingci gets upset knowing you kissed someone else, I’ll help smooth things over."
Yu Xia: "?"
