She Asks for a Divorce Again-Chapter 114 - : Forced Kiss
Chapter 114: Chapter 114: Forced Kiss
The voice was cold, brimming with intense discontent.
Pei Yansi’s tone was etched in Shen Heyu’s mind.
She paused, turning around somewhat stiffly to see Pei Yansi standing not far away, clad in a black suit that fitted him impeccably, custom-tailored to perfectly complement his physique.
He was tall and stood in the play of light and shadow, the overhead lighting casting his handsome face in dim obscurity.
Shen Jiangli also turned and saw him, and greeted him with a polite smile, “President Pei, what a coincidence.”
Pei Yansi glanced at him indifferently, without a word.
His gaze shifted to Shen Heyu, his voice dangerously interrogative, “Miss Shen said she was quite busy, didn’t she? Rejected me and turned around to go out with someone else?”
Shen Heyu’s scalp tingled under his piercing black eyes.
She still knew this man all too well; just a sentence, a gesture, or a slight inflection in his voice was enough for her to know—he was angry, very angry.
Before she could speak, Shen Jiangli took the lead, “Heyu has the freedom to choose who she goes out with. As far as I know, President Pei currently has no relation with her, so what right do you have to inquire about her private affairs?”
Pei Yansi let out a cold laugh.
He ignored Shen Jiangli’s words, his gaze intently fixed on Shen Heyu and commanded, “Come here.”
His eyes carried a warning and an order.
Shen Heyu saw it, but her feet felt as though they were nailed to the ground, immovable.
More than that, she was resentful. As Shen Jiangli said, by what right did he control her private life?
She looked at him firmly, silent, yet her eyes served as her resistance.
Pei Yansi waited a few seconds, not seeing her approach.
Shen Heyu thought he would rage and come to drag her away, but instead, she saw him just smile, then turn and disappear into the bustling crowd of the party as if nothing had happened.
His cool composure instead left Shen Heyu feeling uneasy.
She thought his smile a moment ago had been bone-chilling.
Shen Jiangli noticed her stiffness and patted her shoulder, “Don’t worry too much. He can’t do anything to you. We live in a society governed by law now.”
“Yeah, hopefully.”
Shen Heyu said this, but she knew better than anyone that the law was merely a plaything for the rich.

Her gaze followed Pei Yansi as he walked away and saw him stopped by a woman who emerged from the crowded gathering, taking hold of his arm.
She acted very intimately with him, flashing a sweet smile.
Shen Heyu watched intently.
The woman also bore an extreme resemblance to Shen Fanshuang, as if she had been carved from the same mold, far more similar than Bai Sheng’er.
Shen Heyu took one glance and froze.
Had she not witnessed Shen Fanshuang’s death with her own eyes, she would have thought that the person before her was her own sister.
Shen Jiangli saw her in a daze and waved his hand in front of her eyes, “What’s on your mind?”
Shen Heyu looked up at him and said, “Do you believe that two unrelated people in this world could look so alike?”
“I believe it. It’s hard to explain, but it definitely exists.”
Shen Jiangli laughed. He didn’t yet know about her and Shen Fanshuang’s situation. Seeing a beautiful woman not far away, he said to Shen Heyu, “I won’t keep you any longer, I’m going to do something interesting.”
He said this, cradling his glass as he walked towards that woman.
Shen Heyu watched his retreating figure, showing no reaction, but her mood had already been ruined by the woman alongside Pei Yansi.
She knew it—all his talk of remarrying, suddenly coming to her side at this time, was just for Yuexue.
In fact, Shen Fanshuang was still the only one in his heart. He had taken on Yuexue to deal with Bai Sheng’er, but so what?
He could still find a second replacement.
Shen Heyu felt a stifling pressure in her chest and sat down on a sofa in the corner, devoid of any mood.
The strong red wine in her hand was unknowingly drank to the last drop. It was only when her head started to feel fuzzy that she came to her senses, realizing she might have drunk a bit too much.
In her haze, Shen Heyu felt someone sit down beside her.
She wasn’t very drunk. She turned her head and saw Meng Ru.
Meng Ru hadn’t been seen for many days since last time. She was still the same as before, with her large wavy long hair spread out, heavily made-up, her big eyes always seeming to carry affection when she looked at someone.
She sneered and said, “What are you doing?”
Meng Ru laughed out loud, her eyes filled with undisguised disdain, “I thought you were capable of so much. Even if you bore him a daughter, in President Pei’s heart, don’t you still have no status?”
Shen Heyu pursed her lips, saying nothing.
Even with Yuexue, Pei Yansi would still not value her. Having her weak spot poked hurt, no doubt about it.
At the sight of her face turning somewhat pale, Meng Ru was immensely pleased, and with a light laugh, said, “Don’t think you’ve beaten me with this. I just saw President Pei with another woman. Tell me, what’s the use of having a child? Has he even given you an extra glance?”
Shen Heyu quickly collected herself and scoffed coldly, “There’s no winning or losing, I’ve never competed with you. It was I who didn’t want him first, after all.”
Meng Ru hummed a laugh, knowing Shen Heyu was bluffing, and said, “We’ll see. I won’t let you off easily for what happened last time.”
“Whatever.”
Seeing her attitude, Meng Ru wisely said no more, but cast her a spiteful glance before turning away.
Shen Heyu watched her retreat, twirling the empty wine glass in her hand, feeling angry and uncomfortable inside.
She had given birth to Yuexue, but she still had no standing with Pei Yansi.
As she was lost in thoughts, she heard her phone vibrate.
Checking it, she saw the familiar number’s message: “Come to the rooftop. If I don’t see you in ten minutes, bear the consequences.”
It seemed like a casual message, but no one knew better than Shen Heyu the threat it carried.
She had already defied him three times today.
Three times, Shen Heyu frowned, mulling it over before deciding not to defy him again. She rose from the sofa and took the elevator to the rooftop.
The rooftop was nearly deserted.
Shrouded in darkness, only the neon lights from the city made it possible to discern the surroundings.
Within the blackness, Shen Heyu saw Pei Yansi leaning against the railing, a cigarette pinched between his fingers.
He heard a sound and turned his head to look at her, saying, “Come here.”
Shen Heyu pursed her lips and walked towards him.
As she drew close, he distinctly smelled the fragrance coming from her.
He stubbed out the cigarette in his hand, then stretched out an arm, pulling Shen Heyu into his embrace. Before she could react, he lifted her chin, leaned down, and kissed her forcefully.
Feeling the warm touch on her lips, Shen Heyu started, struggling hard to break free.
