Shattered by Fate, Restored by Truth-Chapter 320: The Enraged Tiger
Chapter 320: Chapter 320: The Enraged Tiger
Lin Rui hesitated before speaking to Fu Shihan about the events of the past few days.
As per Fu Shihan’s orders, he had taken a few brothers every day to secretly follow Su Wanxin to and from work, so he knew about the incident where Su Wanxin got into Old Sir Fu’s car.
"At first, I also thought the old man would scare her just like how Grandpa did last time, but later I realized he just made a round around the Su Family and let my goddess go,"
Lin Rui, with his additional chitchat, recounted the events of that day.
"That motorcyclist kid was also there at the time. Brother Han, want me to go beat him up right now, to vent your anger?"
"Right now?" Fu Shihan sneered. "Show me right now."
"..."
"If you can’t kill him for me immediately, I’ll kill you immediately, how about that?"
"No, I was just talking, don’t take it seriously."
Fu Shihan was truly in a bad mood today, Lin Rui could tell, and resolved to keep his head down, absolutely not causing further trouble.
"Brother Han, it’s because the old man intervened that I didn’t dare to casually mention it to you. What on earth did he want with Wan God that day? Did he threaten her? Wanted to break her legs?"
Fu Shihan lowered his eyes to think over this matter.
Fu Yansheng would not threaten Su Wanxin with the matter of his legs, if he intended to threaten, he would have simply done it directly.
Everyone in the Fu Family was adept at being overprotective, and after the old man saw Su Wanxin, she moved out, looking like she wanted a clean break from him.
So, this issue, Fu Shihan couldn’t exclude himself.
He pondered for a while, and more or less guessed what Fu Yansheng must have said to Su Wanxin. It was nothing more than telling Su Wanxin to keep her distance from him, and to not see him ever again.
Su Wanxin has always been very obedient in front of the Fu Family, doing whatever she was told. Not to mention an order coming directly from Fu Yansheng himself.
"Keep an eye on her, don’t let her leave Di City. Arrange a few more people to watch over my Grandpa and Grandpa."
"Ah...?" Lin Rui looked troubled. "Brother Han, wouldn’t we get beaten to death if we were discovered?"
What sort of heavyweights were those two grandfathers? What on earth happened, how did it come to a head-on confrontation?
Fu Shihan didn’t respond to his words, just quietly looked at him.
Lin Rui met his gaze for several seconds, swallowed his saliva, and nodded repetitively. "I’ll arrange it right away!"
Fu Shihan’s gaze made it crystal clear: obey him, and he’ll spare their lives; disobey, and he’ll take their lives.
At a critical time like this, Lin Rui, a clever man, knew all too well how to choose.
He turned and ran, not wanting to spend another second with Fu Shihan.
Today’s Fu Shihan was like a provoked tiger, and at this moment, provoking him meant only one outcome—being bitten to death.
Lin Rui quickly fled, and the room fell silent again. Fu Shihan sat alone on the couch, turned off the light, and looked at the moonlight outside the window with a headache, feeling utterly sleepless.
He hadn’t had a good night’s sleep for over a week, and he didn’t expect to return to such a mess.
Remembering the way Su Wanxin held him and wept uncontrollably in the bar, Fu Shihan lit a cigarette, calmed himself down, and got up to go back to his room to wash up and rest.
It wasn’t that he didn’t want to bring Su Wanxin back home. If he forcefully brought her back today and confined her, he could restrain her freedom.
But that wasn’t the fundamental solution to the problem; the only way to get Su Wanxin to return wasn’t by bringing her home, but rather, making the other members of the Fu Family ask her to come back home.
