Firtunately nothing serious happened to me, and after Saiga-san was done apologizing to me over and over again we were able to resume our walk to school. After we finally got to the classroom, I sat down and thought about the cicada incident, thinking that it managed to form a sort of a strange connection between Saiga-san and myself.

Unlike yours truly, who have spent the entire of summer vacation indoors, I can see that people all over the place managed to get some nice tan. And while it was easy to diminish my time during this summer as “wasted”, at least compared to the way in which others used it…… Oh well, it may not have been all that healthy for me, but this summer was full of precious memories. And it was WAY healthier than sh*tty games pilgrimage that I would normally do during the summer vacation.

「…… nid got……」

(I knew it, no matter how you look at it, the popularity of Shanfro is simply amazing……)

And hearing that a whole lot of people were talking about it, apparently there were more ShanFro players here than I would have thought. Who knows? Maybe I wasn’t the only one who had his “ShanFro debut” during this summer vacation?

It’s a good thing that so many people were talking about it, but come on, guys! The homeroom is about to start! You can talk about that stuff all you want sometime later during the day, you know?

As for me, I kill the remaining time by browsing the Internet on my mobile device.

Out of sheer curiosity, I looked over message boards and SNS chatrooms dedicated to ShanFro, and unsurprisingly it was all swarmed with conversations pertaining to Unique Monsters.

The main conversation topic right now was the defeat of Kutanid of the Abyss, imagine that. Totally surprising, except for not really. There was also another topic, and it was about…… Oh yeah, right. Some sort of big deal that was too much of a drag for me to actually remember it.

I mean, why would I? Since it was something so obvious but also something completely outside of the range of my interests: just what Guild is the strongest one when it comes to ShanFro?

Considering the fact that the number of messenger falcons, it was safe to assume that about the eighty percent of all the messages I have received were coming from various Guilds. Wheteher it was for better or for worse…… No, let’s just be thankful that it was only such a number, and not a higher one.

It was also a good thing that the messages were not delivered all at once. If a huge flock of birds was converging at one location, many people would go there simply to see what was going on there. However, when the Crying Innsman managed to dock back at Fiftsia port, the only ones waiting for us there were the Straude-related NPC and only a couple of random players. And……

「Well, well, well, Sanraku-kun. There is a whole lot of things I would like to ask of you, but for the time being let me say this: thank you for all of your hard work. You’ve been working quite hard, right?」

Of course, the very first person to greet me here was none other than our Guild Master, Arthur Pencilgton. Apparently she was here in Fiftsia for some private business, but once she heard the GM announcement and saw the birds coming and going from the port, she decided to follow their trail and see what was going on.

「Look, I am really tired. I was fighting a giant fucking octopus all night long and then hauling ass some more, so could you give me a break? I know that you want to talk, but let us save that for later, okay?」

「Hmm, oh well, fair enough. Katsu was probably going to cross examine you himself once he logs in, but that way we can both learn what happened at the same time. Is it not what the Wolfgang is all about? That kind of comradery?」

For a moment out there I really wanted to come up with a witty retort, but I ultimately gave up on the idea. Instead, there was something else I needed to do. There were new members that I needed to introduce.

「Oh yeah, that’s right. Rust, Mold, Akitsu Akane. This is the leader of our Guild.」

「Oh my, oh my, I know that you are probably all very tired from clearing the Unique Secenario EX, so let me keep this as brief as possible. My name is Arthur Pencilgton, and it is exactly as that idiot over there said.

Aaaand there she goes. Already trying to brainwash other people into thinking that she’s a decent human being. It was really regrettable about her, but what can you do? Maybe Akitsu Akane would be somewhat resistant to her mind grabbing powers because of his natural disposition…… But it would be better for them to spent as little time together with Pencilgton as possible.

「I have heard the rumors, but you really are still half-naked…… How did you manage to handle the damage?」

「Excuse me?」

「I knew it, you are aiming towards the evasion stat, right? After all, I don’t think that every Unique Monster would possess such sweets attacks like Wezaemon did…… Did that Unique Monster had some special attacks like that? Did you have to utilize the Reviving items in order to win?」

「No, wait just a moment. Before anything else…… Just who the fuck are you……?」
