Chapter 119: Chapter 119: Self-inflicted Trouble

Summer Sutton drank two cups, raised her head to look at him, their gaze met, and she paused slightly.

Why did she feel his gaze wasn’t well-intentioned?

Summer Sutton was just taken aback for a moment, but didn’t dwell on it.

What could Adrian Walyon possibly do to her?

At most, it was just the matter of not thinking about sleep tonight.

Perhaps because Adrian Walyon helped her too much, subconsciously, Summer Sutton trusted Adrian.

Being with him, regardless of any situation, she never had to worry.

She drank a total of three cups, halfway through the meal, her head was already starting to spin.

On the way back to the villa, her steps were a bit unsteady.

Outside it was snowing, the two quietly walked in the snowy night of Sutton Gardens, where the snow on the ground had piled up.

Summer Sutton walked ahead, dizzily watching the swaying scenery in front of her, and fell down several times.

After getting up from the ground, she felt a bit embarrassed, "Oh dear, I fell again."

Looking up at him, her gaze was bright and clear, like twinkling stars in the night sky, misty and gleaming.

Right now, in Adrian Walyon’s eyes, Summer Sutton resembled a foolishly sweet girl, not at all like the typically clever, high IQ woman who once entered the Film Academy as the top student.

This term ’foolishly sweet’ in Adrian’s eyes didn’t mean mindlessness, just simply pure like a child.

Adrian Walyon quietly looked at her, his gaze somewhat deep.

Summer Sutton’s eyes were bright and clear as she looked at him for a while, seeing he didn’t have the intention to pull her up, she gave up seeking his help.

Struggling to get up from the ground, she brushed the snow off her body and continued to walk forward.

However, after just two steps, she almost fell down again.

As her body was about to go down, the man who hadn’t acted before timely extended an arm to hook her waist.

The two of them were already back at the villa, Summer Sutton didn’t know how many times she fell on the way back, and he never acted before.

Only at the doorstep did he help her for the first time.

Summer Sutton suddenly felt a bit resentful towards him.

As she kept staring at him, before Adrian Walyon could straighten up, she spitefully tugged him.

Adrian Walyon’s body fell heavily onto the snow ground with hers.

Summer Sutton bore the brunt and the fall hurt.

Adrian Walyon’s arm scraped against the ground, not fare much better.

He obviously didn’t expect her to make such a move, and Adrian Walyon was stunned for a few moments.

"Get up, you’re heavy." Summer Sutton complained and pushed him a bit.

"Self-inflicted." Adrian Walyon stared at her, pressing on her body, without the intention to move.

His gaze was deep, like an endless ocean, quietly watching her, seemingly with dark waves surging in his eyes.

Summer Sutton lay beneath him, just as a snowflake dotted her lips.

The crystal-clear flake adorned her pink lips, like peach blossoms in early spring holding a dew drop.

Around them, the snow-laden branches creaked under the unbearable weight and fell.

The snow continued to fall, and the snowflakes on their bodies and faces gradually increased.

Summer Sutton was stunned by his gaze, her alcohol-slowed brain reacted slowly in trying to understand what he intended.

Just as she was puzzled, Adrian Walyon’s face suddenly leaned down, and his snowflake-like icy lips landed on hers.

Then on her brows and eyes...

Wherever there were snowflakes on Summer Sutton’s face, his lips brushed over each spot...

He helped her suck away the falling snow from her face, looking into her clear and crystalline eyes, akin to the brilliance of tonight’s snowy night.
