Saving The Villainous Monster From The Male Lead-Chapter 33 - 32: Disloyal Maid

When her hand also dropped from his hand that was squeezing her neck, Caelestis finally snapped out of his delusional world, filled with hate for Eleanore. He felt a cold sweat release from the tails of his dark hair, passing down his spine.

Stunned on realising his action, he quickly let go of her neck, pushing his body off her. Eleanore was filled with life again, yet she couldn’t breath. Her ears started to ring harder and her eyes rolled around, as if drugged. She kept whispering something that Caelestis couldn’t hear.

He quickly went close to Elanore’s lips to hear what she was saying. "Marina! Pump!" She said,

Her finger pointed at the cabinet as she said that.

Caeletis rushed to it and opened all the drawers one after another, until he found a plain looking pump in one. His hand shivered as he picked it up and rushed back to Eleanore, who was still struggling to hold onto her life.

Gently, he picked her up in his arms, rested her head on his chest, before bringing the inhaler close to her lips.

Eleanore inhaled the pump, for seconds her struggle continued, until she could finally breathe. She clenched her jaw and turned to face Caelestis by raising her chin above. He looked scared, worried and guilty at the same time. He probably didn’t wish for any of this to happen, but who cares? All Eleanore had in her mind at that moment was that this man tried to kill her.

She pushed herself out of his arms but was so exhausted that he lost consciousness immediately. As her eyes closed she could hear some hazy words from Caelestis. "I am sorry."

’What a hypocrite!’

The immense pain in her neck and her dry throat felt like thorns that kept poking her even after her strength gave up and she had fallen unconscious. Her breathing had become stable, she could feel it, but the shock and utter disbelief she felt remained. This was the reality. Caelestis is just like he was described in the novel.

A gruesome villain. An obsessive lover of Stella, who could do anything to have her as his own. He would kill humans like they are some insect on the battlefield and would smile every time the splash of blood landed on his face. Anger was always on his psychotic mind. He could easily get angry at the simplest thing a person can think about.

Caelestis’ true nature had finally appeared in front of Eleanore and that had scared her. She was already afraid of him.

When her eyes opened due to the heavy, peeking sun rays that escaped through the curtains that had covered the balcony. She found herself lying on her bed, as if she were dead and had miraculously come back to life. Her throat was so dry, that she couldn’t even swallow her saliva without feeling pain as it passed through it. She gently rubbed her itchy throat, turning her head to the otherside of her bed, to grab some water.

She found Caelestis sitting there, dozing off, on a chair that belonged to her room. The memories from last night flowed back into her mind, making her scream and jerk out of the bed.

Caelestis who had just fallen asleep after taking care of her for the whole night, flashed open his eyes on the sudden scream that filled his ears. He saw Eleanore, shifting behind and almost reaching the end of the bed, a little more behind and she would fall.

Quickly, he rushed on the bed, held her by her wrist and pulled her back towards him. Eleanore’s hand landed on his strong, stiff chest. As she felt the heat pass through his chest into her hands, her neck started to itch, reminding her of what this man had done. She clenched her jaw in anger, feeling pity, as she remembered every moment when this man disrespected her, harassed her, hurt her.

’How could I be so blind?’

A question hung over her head, unwilling to let her forget last night.

Rage passed through her veins, stuffing in strength in her hands. Without a warning, her brain passed the order and her hands obeyed, pushing Caelestis so hard that he fell off the bed. He didn’t expect that and couldn’t control his body when it suddenly came.

"Leave." A harsh yet low sound came from Eleanore’s painful throat.

Just looking at him was enough to overwhelm her mind with pity and self doubt. These thoughts, she hated them, she wanted to avoid listening to this strange yet true voice that wandered around in her mind. She was too confident thinking she wouldn’t be punished, when found.

"Eleanore, I-" Caelestis had no idea what to say. He could see a mixture of fear and disgust locked in her eyes.

Caelestis didn’t move. He remained there on the floor, looking at a woman who was brave enough to look at him, while shivering in fear and anger and feeling disgusted about him at the same time.

He gulped, knowing that his words would mean nothing to her at the moment and that anything he would say as an excuse for his action last night, can never justify it.

Saddened, he had no choice but to obey her and leave. Unable to look in her eyes any longer, his gaze fell on the ground, as he left the room.

Gently, he closed the door, then turned to Marina, who had spent her night there, sleeping on the ground. "Don’t go in." He said.

Marina got back on her feet immediately and nodded in agreement.

"Stay here until she calls you." Saying this, he left for his room. A warm bath was the only thing that could help him rearrange his thoughts and faults in peace.
