My Kitsune System-Chapter 62

There it was glowing red, its aura drawing him in. He didn’t know when he began to stretch his hand, He was about to touch it when he felt something move within the shadows.

Dan stopped, he glanced round but nothing moved. Ignoring it, Dan looked deeper into the platform only for him to be lost in the glow of the object within.

His hand stretched into it and was about to take hold of the object within the platform. When he heard a low growl. And the beast within the shadows finally moved and pounced toward Dan. With swift movement Dan drew out his blade, slicing off the beast head with one clean swing. The beast’s body landed just before Dan and its head rolled close to the platform.

"Come" an eerie whisper got into Dan’s ears, it was coming from within the platform. Dan turned to it and placed his hand within it and pulled out the object within it.

There it was the killing stone. It was a fist size marble stone that was glowing red. From within it Dan could hear a lady calling out to him.

The palm of his hand began getting filled with a warm kind of sensation, his instincts began taking over.

First were his eyes that now had a narrow slit, then every other of his fox features began to pop out they were now followed by his three tails.

And then Dan could feel something begin to seep into his skin and as it did, it made him feel stronger than ever.

Slowly, the numbers of Dan’s stats and attributes began to rise.

New attribute acquired

New tail unlocked

New trait acquired

As this was going on, Dan could feel his mind was getting clouded and his vision started to turn red.

Soul Reaper Upgraded

As Dan’s stat was being upgraded his senses picked up someone was fast approaching him. And within seconds the being was already upon him, its hand reaching for the killing stone within Dan’s hand.

But on instincts Dan grabbed onto the beings hand and pulled it close. As the being was now in Dan’s grasp, he now used his head to smash into the being. Only for Dan’s head to be met with something harder than his own skull.

It was the side of the being’s Axe. Drops of blood began to drip from Dan’s head. But Dan was unfazed by it. His grip on the being’s arm tightened.

Dan now pulled out his blade brought it down on the being, but it was blocked by the being.

It then yanked its hand away from Dan and pulled away.

Seeing this the color of Dan’s eyes became a darker shade of red, his hold on his blade grew tighter. And before the being could react, Dan had moved and was already before it. Dan’s movement was like that of a blur and the being couldn’t track Dan’s movement.

Again Dan brought his blade upon the being, the being used its axe to block Dan’s attack, only for the being to be sent on its knees.

But the being tried to hold its ground, gritting its teeth as it tried to get up.

Dan pulled his hand back which held the killing stone and landed a devastating blow on the beings belly.

Boom!!

A resounding echo was heard through out the place. But that didn’t move the being one bit.

Dan saw this and his face darkened.

Dan pulled his hand away again and struck at the beings belly one more time.

Boom!!!

The blow resounded, the being which was gritting its teeth, slowly its white teeth began to be dyed red.

Cough!

And blood was splattered all around by the beast. A small smile began to grow on Dan’s face.

But then from his eyes blood began to flow freely. But Dan didn’t care about that. He pulled his hand back again ready to strike the being when he heard the being speak.

"Dan" it said the voice soft and kind.

It knows me?

But then again he heard the killing stone call out to him, trying to draw him in

"Dan" the being’s voice called out to him

It also placed its hand on that of Dan. Its touch soft and a familiar. A sense of Deja vu fell upon him. The being’s scent, its voice... all reminded him of one person.

Sigrid

Slowly his mind was no more clouded, and before him was Sigrid before him bleeding. His heart began to ache.

"oh no"

His face fell, how could he have hurt her? how could he have caused her pain?

His heart began clench, it was as though a blade was being pushed through it. Tears began filling up his eyes.

The memories of the night before began to resurface. Memories of her smile played before him. Her attitude toward him the first time they met.

Dan watched as blood dripped from the side of her lips. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

He may have actually killed her.

His hands began to fidget. Tears began to roll down his face. A roar began swelling within his heart.

How could he?

Dan watched her as she did her best to wide awake, but the blood never stopped dripping. Shakingly she raised her hand and reached for his face.

As her fingers touched his face he could feel how cold her hands were. A smile tried surfacing as she muttered the words.

"Its going to be fine" she said as coughed up more blood.

More tears rolled down his eyes.

Dan now drew Sigrid close to himself as he sobbed within her hair.

Step! step!

Dan heard someone approaching them but he paid it no attention until the person had gotten closer.

And then he could feel it now, the aura coming off the person.

The aura on the person completely dark and sinister.

Dan raised his head to stare at the figure, it was no other than the demon that had fought Boazhai. Dan looked at it before turning back to holding Sigrid. He now held her closer than ever.

The demon paid them no head and began walking toward the killing stone.

"Heyy" Sigrid muttered...

Dan rose his head to look at her. Sigrid’s eyes looked at the killing stone.

"Its not worth it" Dan said.

"I have lost so much already.... I can’t lose you too"

"You won’t" a small smile formed on her face. Dan looked into her eyes one more time as Sigrid nodded.

A small smile formed on Dan’s face.

"Wait for me" Dan said as his face grew dark.

The pressure within the room began rising and in the center of it all was Dan and behind him were five huge kitsune tail.
