Chapter 96: Hei Xiwen to the rescue

The main doors were suddenly opened and a butler calmed the situation down. Luo Muchen stepped forward to enter the house. Behind him, two of his men followed but the butler stopped them while smiling apologetically.

"Sir, you alone can enter," he said and Luo Muchen signalled with his hand for them to stand down. When he entered the luxurious mansion he was met by a group of relatives he was unfamiliar with sitting in the lounge.

Luo Muchen felt a gaze from above him thus he slowly looked up his gaze chilling but the person wasn’t timid. It was Lee Ya standing at the top of the stairs staring at him with a look of disgust and an air of superiority.

Luo Muchen ignored her as he continued walking forward. In the lounge were Lee Bigen, his older brother and his son sitting on one side.

There was an older gentleman with a veteran pin on his suit plus an old woman with a face three parts similar to Lee Ya’s.

The one standing had to be a lawyer as he was holding a folder seeming out of place. Luo Muchen noticed the documents on the coffee table and instantly understood what this fuss was all about.

"Are you here to recognise your ancestors? " joked Lee Bin only for his father to smack him upside his head. This was Lee Ya’s cousin.

Luo Muchen took a step forward and took the paper on the table ignoring his father’s gaze. He read through the document to sign off his rights to inherit the Lee family’s conglomerate.

"As expected, he lacks respect for his elders just like that vixen Sh-," said the old woman only for her voice to die down when Luo Muchen glared at her murderously.

"Do you want me to sign it or not?" he said and the old woman was dumbfounded. They thought Luo Muchen would fight but he was genuinely disinterested.

Recently, Lee Bigen had mentioned making Luo Muchen his heir but that caused conflict internally because their current projects were linked to the military. The people at the top weren’t at ease if an outsider took over thus when they heard about Lei Zi’s plan they backed her up and in turn, helped her humiliate her love rival.

Luo Muchen wasn’t interested in taking over after his estranged father and work hard to enrich these groups of people thus he took a pen from the coffee table but just before he signed he glanced up and said,

"While we are at it. I would like Father to sign off on severing our family ties. The family name Lee would have absolutely nothing to do with me. I am sure that would put us all at ease."

"No," said Lee Bigen his face relaxed like there weren’t several armed police waiting outside the twin high-rise buildings detaining someone.

This was his love child with Luo Shih and he would want to still recognise him as his son even if he can’t be his heir.

Luo Muchen chuckled lightly as the tension in the room grew stronger. "It’s funny how you think this is an option. It’s either that or I won’t sign," he said glancing at the impatient men and women who looked like vultures waiting for him to drop dead.

"Bigen, don’t be stupid. Just sign it. We only recognise Ya Ya as your child not this wild seed," said Lee Bigen’s younger brother.

Luo Muchen wasn’t at all offended. He turned to make a call. Soon a lawyer walked in and handed him a document which he signed immediately before passing it to Lee Bigen.

Lee Bigen glanced at him his gaze unwilling. But in the end, he had no choice. Both documents were signed before Luo Muchen turned to leave.

Meanwhile, Luo Shih was slowly cutting into her pancake with a relaxed expression. She ignored Lai Zi who was trying to insight her this entire time to no avail. She had orchestrated all of this to see Luo Shih’s jokes but it was suddenly starting to look like a one-man show.

Luo Shih was so unbothered like she wasn’t being detained. Lei Zi leaned in closer and said, "Shih I have told you before to stop coveting things that aren’t yours otherwise the consequences will be unbearable. *Sigh, I can already see your shares plunging as we speak and your sales dropping... This hotel will be sold for cheap and guess who will buy it? Me of course... It won’t be long before they seize all your property and freeze all your assets. Your father’s hard work will be plundered as spoils of war."

Luo Shih’s cell phone buzzed and she put down her cutlery and picked up her cell phone before saying, "Miss Lai, time to show yourself out," she said.

The smile on Lai Zi’s face froze as she leaned back into her seat. "You bitch actually think you are in the position to make commands-," she said only for one of the colonels she brought with her to walk over and whisper something to her.

The more he spoke the uglier her expression. Did this mean that the scene of arresting Luo Shih and dragging her out of the hotel in front of the media won’t happen?

"You bitch," cursed Lei Zi as she stood up in a hurry to slap Luo Shih. Unfortunately, she had no idea who she was messing with. Luo Shih grabbed the back of her head and forced her to look up. Lei Zi’s face turned pale from the pain and her body trembled when she saw the tip of a steak knife right above her left eye.

Luo Shih’s bloodthirsty expression looked like she was really going to stab her in the eye.

Lei Zi struggled as the men protecting her drew their weapons. "Uh uh uh uh, don’t move otherwise you might accidentally run into the steak knife. Whose fault would it be if you lose an eyeball?" said Luo Shih, her voice menacing.

Lei Zi, "..."

"Now listen because I am only going to say it once. I don’t want your man neither does my son want to inherit his fucking business. I just want to mind my own damn business so should you. If this happens again, I will ruin you and your daughter and you better best believe that I will make a public spectacle of you. Do you understand?"

"LUO SHIH! DON’T YOU FUCKIN TAKE THINGS TOO FAR!!" she yelled while struggling again but the knife tip suddenly touched her lower lashes.

Luo Shih leaned down and whispered, "I will fuck you up if you mess with me and my son again. Now go spend daddy’s money, you need more Botox," she said before pushing her away.

Just as she staggered back the private room door was suddenly pushed open and Hei Xiwen rushed in being all dramatic. "Babe, are you okay?" he said before turning back to the police running after him, "If she loses the baby, I will sue all of you for every penny you got." After making this outrageous claim he rubbed Luo Shih’s belly while whispering,

"Shh shh don’t worry Dad is here."

Luo Shih: "???"

This fucker had a death wish indeed.
