Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 90: If I gwohh home drunnnkk my father willlllllll kill meeeeeeee...,"
It was because of this she kept sniffing way past the seven minutes. Qie Xieling was quite considerate and only stood up when she had stopped crying.
"I will get going then," he said and Lee Ya smiled slightly while looking up at him. She nodded her head and said, "I will stay a little longer."
Qie Xieling pursed his lips before turning to leave. When he opened the door he felt a frightening gaze directed at him but when he scanned the private room, the gaze disappeared suddenly.
The group of girls and boys were surrounding Luo Muchen counting the shots he took in this short span of time.
Qie Xieling squeezed through the crowd before taking the shot glass from Luo Muchen’s hand and drinking it. Unlike Luo Muchen, it took him two gulps to finish it.
His brows creased from the terrible taste he pushed Tang Fei to move over. Tang Fei complained but he still moved away.
Luo Muchen followed Qie Xieling’s movements with his eyes and when he (Qie Xieling) sat down he stared at his face with a disconcerting gaze. He rested his arm on the backrest of the couch behind Qie Xieling while leaning closer as though to take a closer look.
Qie Xieling didn’t pay attention to him though he could feel that gaze burrowing through his skin. If it was anyone else sitting next to him he might have asked what he was staring at but since it was Luo Muchen, he let him stare all he wanted.
"Ohoo, was the kiss that bad that you had to take down some shots," teased Tang Fei and the others joined in on the fun.
Qie Xieling was about to deny it when Lee Ya came out of the room. Her hair was a little dishevelled and the bow of her ribbon tie-up top was loosened making it difficult for others not to imagine what could have happened in those fourteen minutes in heaven.
The corner of her eyes were red and she was spotting a shy look like a blushing bride. Not only that but her neck had a red mark that people couldn’t tell if it was there before as she had her neck covered earlier.
Luo Muchen’s eyes grew darker as he brought the shot glass to his lips. Before he could drink it Qie Xieling took it away from him while saying, "I need it more than you do."
Luo Muchen glanced at those glossy lips that looked the same as before but his heart wasn’t settled. He leaned in closer and asked, "Why?" his hot breath spraying on Qie Xieling’s ear.
Qie Xieling drank the shot and scrunched his face while replying, "I told her I don’t like her and she didn’t take it well."
Luo Muchen wanted to know why then she looked like she had been ravaged but he couldn’t ask now afraid of the answer. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
By the time it was ten thirty, Bo Ailun’s mother was blowing up her son’s cell phone. Qie Xieling who was already sloshed and lying on Luo Muchen’s shoulder tried to poke Bo Ailun awake but Bo Ailun grumbled before falling back to sleep.
"His mother is going to kill him if we keep delaying," said Luo Muchen who seemed like the most sober of the three despite drinking more than them.
"Hey guysh, we gotta go and drop him off before she comes up here," slurred Qie Xieling, swaying slightly as he got up on his feet.
Luo Muchen pulled his arm and let him lean against his body. It seemed Qie Xieling mistook him for Bo Ailun because he complained, "He’s sho heavy, man," while struggling to keep his balance.
Luo Muchen chuckled while explaining, "It’s me. Muchen."
Qie Xieling raised his head with a dazed look in his eyes and touched Luo Muchen’s face before smiling happily when he recognised him.
Luo Muchen checked on the girls and when he saw Ah Cy was sober and helping her friend he was reassured. He hugged Qie Xieling’s waist while pulling up Bo Ailun. The five of them walked out of the private room. When the chill from outside swept past their cheeks some of them sobered up a little.
Mrs Bo suddenly opened her car door and rushed out before relieving Luo Muchen of the burden.
"I am so sorry Chen-er. We troubled you," she said while gently patting her son’s cheek. It seemed this wasn’t the first time her son had drunk into a stupor.
Luo Muchen apologised in turn for failing to stop him from drinking but she didn’t blame him at all. She glanced at Qie Xieling standing there in a daze while watching the night sky. "Lin Lin, are you going with auntie?" she asked fully aware that he had drunk a little too much as well.
Qie Xieling shook his head vigorously. "No auntie, I will call the driver," he said before bowing his head low like he was bowing before his boss in apology.
"I will make sure he gets home," said Luo Muchen while reaching over to help Qie Xieling up. The young man had remained bowing down like he was stuck.
"Okay. Get home safe," she said before getting in the car with her son.
Luo Muchen waved at the girls who had already gotten into one of their family’s car. It seemed they were afraid to get in trouble so they called Wei Qi’s older sister.
Luo Muchen looked down at Qie Xieling who was leaning his forehead on his chest and asked, "Should I call your driver now or do you want to sober up first?"
Qie Xieling jerked his head up before taking a step back while refusing. "If I gwohh home drunnnkk my father willlllllll kill meeeeeeee...," he said his slurred speech getting worse.
He immediately turned to leave as though leading the way but Luo Muchen pulled him back. "Okay, let’s... let’s go to my mother’s hotel and you can sober up a little first," replied Luo Muchen holding Qie Xieling’s hand.
As the two of them walked down the street, Luo Muchen felt a gaze watching them but he mistakenly thought it was the bodyguards following him. Out of the shadows, a small glow from the light of a cigarette flame shone brighter.
A man who was watching Qie Xieling just now stepped out. As soon as their figures disappeared he dropped the cigarette bud and stepped on it. He rubbed his lip with his forefingers with a slight quirk.
