Luo Shih’s eyes were drawn to the delicate glimmer on her wrist. The pink diamond bracelet seemed to hold within it a soft glow that was radiant on her porcelain skin.

She traced the cool metal with her fingertips, feeling the intricate craftsmanship that had gone into creating something so seemingly fragile, yet so enduring. She had a lot of expensive pieces in her collection and each piece had a different story. She wasn’t lacking sparkly things but the fact that this was from her future son in law made her so happy that she couldn’t contain her excitement.

"What do you think? Does it suit me?" she asked and Luo Muchen smiled as he nodded his head.

Of course, it suited her. Qie Xieling had a very good eye. He recalled when the jeweller came to the Qie family home and showed them the pieces he had brought, Qie Xieling had insisted on this one.

His grandmothers wanted him to get a dragon brooch but he refused. Thinking of the appointment he made with the jeweller when everyone left he smiled slightly. He wanted the man to design two wedding bands. He didn’t know when he would propose but he wanted them ready so he could ask Qie Xieling to marry him when he found the perfect moment.

Luo Shih pinched his cheeks and asked, "Why are you smiling like that?"

Luo Muchen came back to himself and said, "I just thought of something... Ma, do you know how I can get access to the recording from the game? There are a lot of things Qie Xieling said to me and I feel bad because I can’t remember."

Luo Shih wasn’t surprised that he asked. In fact, Wen Qinxi had complied everything for him to watch just in case he woke up with no memory of what happened and was a jerk to Qie Xieling.

When she saw that her son indeed didn’t remember but he was still fawning over Qie Xieling she didn’t bring the matter up. Who would have thought that he would come to ask her directly?

Meanwhile, Luo Shih lowered her head as she admired the bracelet. Suddenly a rough calloused hand touched hers and she looked up only to be met with Hei Xiwen staring at her like she was the only existence in the world.

He kissed her hand and said, "It looks beautiful on your hand babe."

Luo Shih wanted to say how audacious but damn her ears were red. It was too late to fight it now. Like a worm wriggling into a peach, Hei Xiwen had wriggled into her heart and she couldn’t be saved.

Hei Xiwen smiled ever so slightly when he saw her swallow back the mean retort at the tip of her tongue. She loved the fiesty Luo Shih but her occasional sweetness always stirred a storm in his heart.

He slowly kissed up her arm only stopping when his lips touched the corner of Luo Shih’s lips. Luo Shih cleared her throat and said, "I am working," but Hei Xiwen didn’t stop.

He kissed her lips softly before saying, "Then you can work. I won’t disturb you."

What he meant was that he would continue harassing her while she was working. Of course, Luo Shih couldn’t think straight anymore. She was thoroughly seduced by this little milk dog.

Luo Muchen had no idea that his mother was getting her back blown out. He was intrigued by what he was watching and couldn’t focus on anything else.

The way Wen Qinxi arranged the worlds was like watching a series. It had several seasons which was quite convenient. But things didn’t go so well in season one. He was so mad at himself that he almost slapped himself.

He couldn’t have imagined that he would treat someone so precious to him like that. He couldn’t help but wonder why Qie Xieling was with him after he treated him like that.

Soon he began to understand why Qie Xieling was with him now. In the game, he was more daring than he had been all these years and by season two Qie Xieling was almost actively pursuing him.

Qie Xieling had no idea that Luo Muchen was busy enlightening himself. Luo Muchen had refused all his invitations to hang out in the past four days. When he asked him what he was busy with, Luo Muchen would just say it was something important and that he would come over when he was finally free.

This meant that Qie Xieling was hanging out with his best friend for the past few days. He didn’t have to go to class for now as his parents had already asked for a long leave for him but by day two he and Bo Ailun went to school.

After classes, they went to the race track nearby and that brand-new car was put to the test. Qie Xieling was like a toddler with their favourite toy.

Unfortunately for Luo Muchen this only earned Qie Xieling more admirers. The young man was indeed a catch and would attract all kinds of bees and butterflies.
