Chapter 602: Getting drunk

Well, they were wrong. Luo Muchen was also wasted.

"Why can’t," Luo Muchen hiccuped his eyes bloodshot and unfocused. "Why can’t he call me that too?"

Qie Ranzhe scoffed, nearly toppling over trying to grab his collar. "Ha! I have raised that boy since he was knee-high to a grasshopper. My little cabbage. I raised him since he was a teeny-tiny tot," he said getting emotional. "He used to follow me around like a tail calling daddy this daddy that and guess what?"

Luo Muchen who was also getting emotional felt empathetic. He never had a father and never got to follow anyone around. He also wanted a father to follow around.

"Then what?" he asked leaning against the table.

"Then then he stopped. Poof, just like that. Overnight, I became father. Ugh, it sounds so tasteless, and emotionless. Who would do that to their beloved dad," he said and Qie Xieling rubbed his forehead. They shouldn’t have drunk. This conversation was heading in a terrible direction.

Luo Muchen looked so sad for him. "Can we stop now? You are both drunk," said Qie Xieling only for Luo Muchen to look at him with an accusatory gaze.

Qie Xieling, "..."

"Why would you do that?" he asked his eyes teary like he was going to cry. What the fuck was going on? Was he being blamed for this?

"That’s because you two ruined it for him," said Grandma Wen. She was well aware of the inside story because Qie Xieling repeated what he overheard.

"My poor grandbaby was scarred for life," chimed in Nana Qie.

"What?... is that why yo—," said Wen Qinxi only for Qie Xieling to interject.

"Dad! Let it go please," he said only for Wen Danzhe to walk in with a beer in his hand asking,

"Let go of what?"

"None of your business," replied Wen Qinxi and Wen Danzhe clasped his invisible pearls while gasping.

"So snippy. Here, this little brother will pour you a glass of wine."

Qie Ranzhe on the other hand continued rumbling on selling misery. "He is all grown up. Why didn’t he stay small and cute," he said and Luo Muchen acquiesced. Qie Xieling was so cute when he was young. Why couldn’t they both stay young and cute?

"Drink drink some... drown your sorrows," he said urging him on to drink.

"You really are a good person," said Qie Ranzhe after taking a sip.

Everyone, "..."

"Do you want to play golf with me? My son won’t even play with me. He says it’s too boring," he continued pointing a finger at Qie Xieling.

"Why... it’s so relaxing and fun. I will go with you," he said and Qie Xieling sighed.

"Well, this is turning into a hate-me train," he said as he got up. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

"Come on, here. Drink drink," Qie Ranzhe slurred, placing a full ceramic cup towards him."

Luo Muchen squinted at the cup, his eyes glassy and unfocused. "One more," he mumbled. "Just one more."

Luo Muchen bowed his head thanking him and because he was too drunk his head almost hit the table. He raised the cup and downed the liquid in one swift motion, the fiery burn leaving him gasping for air. He swayed, clutching the edge of the table.

"You are done?" Qie Ranzhe pointed a wobbly finger at him. "You’re practically drunk."

Luo Muchen’s eyes narrowed. "I’m not done yet. It should be you, uncle, that should be done." He urged the butler to pour out more.

Qie Ranzhe lifted the cup with exaggerated seriousness. "Watch and learn brat." He tossed back the drink, the alcohol warming his insides. "Ah, that’s the stuff."

"That is completely out of character. Is he always like this when drunk?" whispered Wen Danzhe asking Wen Qinxi. This wasn’t the Qie Ranzhe he knew.

"How am I supposed to know? He normally doesn’t drink this much I will tell you that," replied Wen Qinxi wishing he could pinch his husband’s ear and drag him upstairs.

Wen Danzhe couldn’t help but feel sorry for his brother. "Tsk tsk poor you. It’s going to be a busy night for you." He patted his shoulder while saying, "Good luck dage."

He absolutely needed all the luck he could get considering how drunk his man was. Just then Luo Muchen lifted another cup but the room spun and he fell forward collapsing on the table.

Qie Xieling was standing by the wine fridge refilling his glass when he saw his man fall forward. "Shit," he swore as he ran over but he was a step too slow. Luo Muchen’s head had already hit the table with a bam.

Qie Xieling pulled him up and gently smacked his cheek while calling out, "Babe, babe wake up."

Luo Muchen opened his eyes a slit and said, "You are so beautiful," with a big smile before collapsing on Qie Xieling’s shoulder.

Qie Ranzhe grinned already seeing triples. He was about to mock Luo Muchen for being a lightweight when he swayed forward, his eyelids drooping.

With a bam, he hit the table and Wen Qinxi didn’t even stop it. With a sigh, he got up only for Qie Ranzhe to raise his hand without getting up. "I won," he yelled before his hand fell back on the table.

"Uncle, help me," said Qie Xieling but Wen Danzhe crossed his legs and said,

"Your person, you carry them."

Qie Xieling, "..."

He pushed Luo Muchen off his shoulder. Luo Muchen swayed on the chair, his head lolling to the side.

"Hey," Qie Xieling said softly, crouching beside him. "Time to call it a night."

Luo Muchen blinked up at him, a slow smile tugging at his lips. He tapped the tip of Qie Xieling’s nose before saying, "Call me daddy and I will go."

Everyone, "..."

Qie Xieling glanced at his passed-out father and heaved a sigh when he saw he was passed out cold.

"Stop making trouble. Come on," he reprimanded and Luo Muchen pouted with a soft,

"Oh."

Wen Danzhe burst out laughing. "This kid is brave. I have to give him that."

Qie Xieling slid his arms under Luo Muchen’s shoulders, surprised by how heavy he was. "You need help sweetie?" asked Wen Qinxi not interested in helping his husband as of yet. He was even contemplating letting him sleep on the couch.

Qie Xieling shook his head no while pulling him up. Luo Muchen’s limbs were like lead, and he grunted as he hoisted him off the chair.
