Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 585: You...you keep disappearing

The muffled sound of a song from Qie Xieling’s favourite movie caught Luo Muchen’s attention. He pulled the covers off the bed but there was nothing. The ringing didn’t stop. He checked underneath the bed and lo and behold his phone was there.

He checked his contact list for the head of security in the building when he heard the soft creak of the suite’s door. He spun around, heart in his throat, and there stood Qie Xieling, holding a food bag.

"Hey," he said with a bright smile like nothing had happened just now. He placed the bag on the counter and glanced at him. When he saw that his expression wasn’t good he asked, "Mu Mu? What’s wrong?"

Luo Muchen’s legs gave way, and he sat on the bed. "You...you keep disappearing," he choked out obviously unable to separate reality from dreams. Who could blame him? That dream was too real and when he woke up Qie Xieling was gone. "I woke up, and you were gone. You even left your phone behind." 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

Qie Xieling stared at the man who had his back towards him in disbelief. He just felt like surprising Luo Muchen and went over to buy him his favourite breakfast down the street. He hadn’t even left for more than twenty minutes plus he had two bodyguards to accompany him. He just didn’t think Luo Muchen would wake up this soon.

He walked over towards him and stood in front of him. Luo Muchen who was genuinely sulking didn’t look up at him. He seemed really upset and distraught.

Qie Xieling placed his hand under Luo Muchen’s chin and forced him to look up. Luo Muchen was still furious but he couldn’t stay mad at all.

He raised his head to look at him. "I just went to get us breakfast. I didn’t want to wake you." said Qie Xieling with one word echoing in his mind and that word was ’cute’. He didn’t know if it was appropriate to describe a grown man as cute but Luo Muchen really fit that description while sulking.

"It’s not safe. Who knows if Leong Jinn had other people he was working with?" he said his tone reprehensive.

Qie Xieling parted his lips to speak but hesitated for a moment. He wanted to tell him that he was making a big deal out of nothing but seeing his red eyes like he was going to cry he swallowed his words back. "I had your bodyguards with me the entire time. You don’t have to worry," he said his tone soft. He attempted to reassure Luo Muchen but he wasn’t sure if it was working.

"You even left your phone. How will I know if something is wrong?" he said his voice slowly dying down.

Qie Xieling caressed his chin with his thumb and said, "You are right. I shouldn’t have left it. It was already on low battery so I didn’t think of carrying it with me. I won’t forget in the future."

He thought that would put Luo Muchen at ease but the man lowered his head as though hiding his expression from him.

"I thought... I thought," Luo Muchen’s voice cracked. "I thought you were gone. I I thought you left me."

Qie Xieling was a little surprised. Where would he go? Why would he leave him behind? Luo Muchen provoked him first and now that he had his attention Qie Xieling wasn’t going to let him go.

A glint of possessiveness flashed in his eyes as he cupped Luo Muchen’s face, his touch grounding. He showed his tiger tooth as he smiled slightly before teasing him, "Luo Muchen are you trying to get rid of me?"

Luo Muchen, "..."

His heart jolted seeing that look in Qie Xieling’s eyes. He had never seen such a look in his eyes before. He shook his head while Qie Xieling’s fingers slid down to his neck. He gently massaged Luo Muchen’s neck as though etching its very structure into his heart. His thumb gently rubbed the veins protruding underneath his skin with an obsessive look in his eyes before sliding his hand at the back of Luo Muchen’s neck.

He leaned down and his face slowly drew nearer to Luo Muchen’s. Luo Muchen’s heart beat in his ears his muscles tense.

As though bewitched by these beautiful eyes he leaned forward to kiss his lips but just before their lips touched Qie Xieling moved his head away and whispered into his ear,

"You can’t get rid of me that easily... boyfriend."

Luo Muchen’s pupils trembled. Before he could say anything Qie Xieling straightened his back and pressed his fingers on his naked chest before gently pushing him down on the bed.

Luo Muchen’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he watched Qie Xieling. He lay there in anticipation. His boyfriend was an enchantress who could easily seduce him. Unfortunately for him, Qie Xieling had no plans of continuing.

"Go wash up and let’s eat," he said with a bright smile and his eyes back to normal.

"Lin Lin," he called out his voice hoarse but Qie Xieling just chuckled softly as he walked away.

Luo Muchen raised his head and glanced at his member that was already as stiff as an ironing board. He lay back down with a sigh.

Qie Xieling had woken up today in a good mood. He suddenly wanted to see the sunrise and smell roses in the cool morning air.

Waking up next to Luo Muchen put him in an exceptional good mood. He took advantage of him while he was sleeping touching every inch of his body to his heart’s content.

Luo Muchen’s hands weren’t idle either. In his sleep, he was also getting handsy. After fooling around for a bit he reached for his phone and found that it was low battery.

He wanted to directly place it on the charger but when he saw a notification from one of the apps on his phone he swiped it down.

It turns out Luo Muchen had uploaded something at night. He opened it and when he saw that picture his brows arched. This wasn’t a picture taken last night but before the whole kidnap fiasco went down.

His face wasn’t in it but the caption said a whole lot. It read ’Waking up with you in my arms is the greatest gift’. This man was laying claim on him in front of the whole world so how could he not be touched?
