Chapter 566: Get a wife

Wen Danzhe who thought he had too much ear wax in his ears asked, "What? Say it again." He thought he was hearing things or hallucinating.

Qie Xieling gritted his teeth while making sure no one was coming inside the house. "I said how do you... chase someone," his voice gradually getting smaller. He was so embarrassed that he wanted to dig a hole and bury himself in it.

Wen Danzhe froze. It appeared his ears were working just fine and he didn’t need to get them professionally cleaned. Qie Xieling was actually asking for his advice. The sun must have risen from the west.

He never wanted children as he was the least responsible adult in the world but he knew this moment he felt like a proud father. This was his moment to shine but the problem was girls usually pursued him and when things got serious he would break up cleanly.

He was honest from the very beginning that he didn’t want anything serious so he wasn’t wronging anyone. That didn’t mean though that there wouldn’t be cat fights. He had a couple of exes who fought for no reason.

The only person he ever chased was the live streamer who had a business partnership with GameX but once she gave him a cold face he moved on. Sure, she changed her mind after she found out who he was but he had lost interest.

"Whoa, little Lin Lin is all grown up," he said and Qie Xieling who was already regretting asking him got up and said,

"Never mind."

Wen Danzhe quickly pressed his shoulders down forcing him to sit down. "Wait wait wait. I was just messing with you. I will stop teasing you, okay?"

Qie Xieling sat down but he wasn’t expecting anything good to come out of Wen Danzhe’s mouth.

"Here is what I would do. Wall slam him with a bam and get so close to him before whispering ’You are my man now’. I am pretty sure after that he will agree," said Wen Danzhe.

Qie Xieling shook his head. As expected. There was nothing good that would come out of that mouth. He was unaware that his uncle was right. All he had to say was the word ’boyfriend’ and Luo Muchen would nod his head like a chicken pecking at rice and quickly put a ring on it.

"You are joking. I shouldn’t have asked you," he said and Wen Danzhe was at a loss.

He was about to open this dense brat’s eyes when the sliding door opened. "Ask him what?" asked Qie Ranzhe while following behind Wen Qinxi.

Qie Xieling’s eyes widened. He was about to say that it was nothing when Wen Danzhe said, "Lin Lin was asking me how to—."

Qie Xieling quickly covered his mouth saying nervously, "Nothing. I was asking nothing." He glared at his uncle his eyes threatening. The fact that Wen Danzhe was his elder was thrown out of the window immediately. His eyes were saying, "If you say it. I will make you pay."

Wen Danzhe’s eyes were smiling as he shifted his gaze at the steamed bun on his plate. His meaning was obvious. "Give me the steamed bun and I won’t snitch."

Qie Xieling understood. He let him go and gave the plate to him. It was only one remaining anyway and the other he had bitten through.

Wen Danzhe smiled victoriously but before he could bite through it he was smacked upside his head by his mother.

"You gluttonous pig. How dare you rob my grandson. I will teach you a good lesson today. You scoffed down five this morning. Do you have worms?"

Wen Danzhe, "..."

The plate was taken away from him and Grandma Wen coaxed Qie Xieling to eat. Wen Danzhe didn’t think his mother would make a fuss. He rubbed the back of his head while complaining, "Mum, he offered."

"Lies! I know you. You eat like you have a bottomless pit. Eat eat eat that’s all you do. Get a wife already so they can cook for you. This old woman is tired," she said and Wen Danzhe panicked. How did this conversation head in this direction? His mother always asked him about this but damn he didn’t want to be with anyone. In other words, love was a foreign word to him.

"Mum, I don’t want kids," he said after hearing a mouthful of ’you will die alone’ and ’you unfilial son’.

"Who said anything about kids? I said find someone else to cook for you so you won’t steal food from my grandbaby."

Wen Danzhe, "..."

"Mum, he can’t even commit to a single person. Just let him be," said Wen Qinxi adding fuel to the fire. That was revenge for him messing with that live streamer. She suddenly quit citing that she was healing from a broken heart. Sure she was scummy but he provoked her first.

Wen Danzhe glared at his brother but Wen Qinxi smiled slyly. "That’s not fair. You are all ganging up on me," he said while pouting his lips. He couldn’t believe they were turning against him and it all started with a bloody steamed bun.

Qie Xieling enjoyed watching his uncle getting scolded. It was quite fun to watch. He laughed softly only to catch a stray. "And you, what are you laughing at? Have you forgotten what you promised me?" said Nana Qie and the smile on his face froze.

"Shit," he muttered before getting up. "I am going to go. I feel weak."

Wen Danzhe who had just caught a break would be stupid to let him walk out of here so he said, "Lies, you were fine just now."

Qie Xieling, "..."

His uncle was a menace. Why did he need to get scolded as well?

"Young man, I wasn’t born yesterday. If you still want that car you better keep your end of the deal," said Nana Qie shoving the boat along the river. Anyone with eyes could tell that Qie Xieling liked Luo Muchen and Luo Muchen liked Qie Xieling. She couldn’t wait to get them together.
