Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 547: Dirty texts
Not only did Luo Muchen know but he was sitting opposite Bo Ailun staring at him like he was looking his competition up and down.
Bo Ailun was also handsome with softer features than himself. His eyes were almond-shaped with a slight upturn at the corners. He was also tall and strong with great fighting skills. There was really nothing to critic about him making Luo Muchen even more upset.
"Young, young master," called out Bo Ailun after seeing him adding the tenth spoon of sugar to that small cup of tea.
Luo Muchen stirred but most of it didn’t dissolve. He pushed the cup towards Bo Ailun and said, "Here. Have some."
Bo Ailun, "..."
Why did he feel like he had offended this pair of husband and wife? Qie Xieling was done with him and now it was Luo Muchen’s turn.
"I uh," he said struggling to find the words to refuse. Luo Muchen arched his brow and Bo Ailun cleared his throat and took a sip. Before he could swallow it he heard Luo Muchen say,
"So you and his Majesty when did it start?"
Bo Ailun spat out the tea that now tasted like syrup and coughed.
Start what exactly? Start being his favourite person to boss around? Bo Ailun would never forget how Qie Xieling put all the food he hated on his plate to eat and asked him to warm his bed in advance. Was it torture? No but still.
"Ah, young master save me. Your wife has been bossing me around ever since he woke up. He even asked me to read him stories to bed. If it was The Art of a Warrior I wouldn’t mind but it was the The Merchant’s Love Affair and The General Tied to The Bed," he said almost begging for mercy.
Luo Muchen knew what the art of a warrior was. It was one of the eight classics but he had no idea what the merchant’s love affair was or what the general tied to the bed was.
"What is that?" he asked and Bo Ailun looked around like a thief before scooching over and whispering in his ear.
Luo Muchen’s eyes widened. He had no idea that his wife had such... interests. "So you aren’t in love with him?" he suddenly asked and Bo Ailun’s soul almost flew out of his body to reincarnate.
"Young master you must be joking. Only you would like such a ger," he said while waving his hands frantically only for Luo Muchen to glare at him.
"Ahaha... I didn’t mean that. I mean you two are perfect for each other. He doesn’t like me like that. His majesty just missed you and he would boss me around for fun," he said after laughing nervously.
"Keep the same attitude," said Luo Muchen and Bo Ailun nodded his head frantically. "Now bring me the literal works you were talking about," he said and Bo Ailun heaved a sigh. He took out The Art of a Warrior from his sleeve and said,
"Lucky I had it on hand so you can read it. I wanted to read it to cleanse my innocent soul from those filthy texts."
Luo Muchen pushed back the book he handed to him and said, "Not this... the other two."
Bo Ailun, "..."
Okay, he was wrong. He thought Qie Xieling was the crazy one but they were equally matched.
"I will go get them," he said before getting up. In less than ten minutes he was back with the two books.
He could have excused himself but he wanted to see Luo Muchen’s expression while he read it. Luo Muchen didn’t disappoint. His expression changed rapidly as he read. Once he started he wouldn’t stop. This meant he spent a good three hours reading the two short smutty novels with a nose-bleeding plot.
Bo Ailun, "..."
Qie Xieling had no idea that the books he used to tease Bo Ailun had now fallen into Luo Muchen’s hands. When he finally had some free time he went back to look for Luo Muchen. The sun had long gone down so he planned to have dinner with him.
The Elder An told him Luo Muchen was waiting for him in his courtyard so Qie Xieling went there. When he arrived there it was well lit but it was dead silent.
Qie Xieling locked around a little confused. "Chen Chen!" he called out before pushing the door.
Qie Xieling was greeted by a sight that made his heart skip a beat. The room was lit with red lanterns, casting a warm and soft glow over the silk curtains, the carved furniture, and the embroidered bed.
The air was thick with the sweet, lingering scent of burning incense, wrapping the space in a blanket of tranquillity and mystique. Soft silk curtains swayed gently in the breeze, carrying with them the whispers of the night.
As he stepped further into the chamber, his eyes caught sight of his beloved Luo Muchen his silhouette framed by the soft light, enhancing his handsome figure.
"What are you doing?" he asked and Luo Muchen’s finger pressed against his lips. Qie Xieling didn’t know what his husband was up to but he played along.
Luo Muchen helped him take off his outer robe, his touch gentle yet sure. The fabric cascaded down Qie Xieling’s broad shoulders, pooling at his feet as he stood facing Luo Muchen. The flickering light danced in Luo Muchen’s eyes, reflecting a silent understanding between them that transcended words.
As Luo Muchen’s hands moved with practised ease, Qie Xieling’s eyes softened. "Is this you paying off your de-," said Qie Xieling but Luo Muchen pecked his lips before whispering,
"Don’t speak... relax and I will make you feel better."
Qie Xieling, "..."
Why were these words so familiar? Luo Muchen pulled him towards the bed and Qie Xieling gladly followed. He let go of his hand and disappeared behind the lace curtains. He began to take off his robes slowly with each layer of clothes taken off and thrown on the folding screen. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
Qie Xieling’s heart was racing for some reason. He tried to walk closer for a better view but Luo Muchen stepped behind the lace curtains partially concealing himself.
