Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 48: "Do you know your wrongs?"
Wen Qinxi sort of believed him but Qie Ranzhe didn’t buy that answer at all. He just wanted to get laid so he could only let it go.
"Then do you fully understand what could have gone wrong? How many bad things could have happened and how much risk you were putting not only yourself, Ailun but also your entire grade at risk? What if you started a fire by accident or worse you burnt your fingers," said Wen Qinxi his emotions pouring out fully with no restraint.
Each word stabbed straight into Qie Xieling’s heart and the guilt was pouring in. With a lowered head he pursed his lips trying not to cry. It would only make things worse if he cried.
Wen Qinxi saw his son’s state of mind and stopped talking for a while. He just looked at his fluffy head of dark brown hair his mind a mess.
He was caught between hugging him and punishing him. Unable to bear his baby looking like this he asked, "Do you know your wrongs?"
Qie Xieling nodded his head and answered in a brittle voice, "Yes... I am so sorry."
Wen Qinxi looked away feeling a little flustered. It was obvious that he was relenting. He beckoned Qie Xieling over while saying, "Come here," he said and Qie Xieling couldn’t hold back anymore.
A large teardrop splattered on his slipper leaving behind a damp spot. Wen Qinxi pulled Qie Xieling over and hugged him tight while stroking his back in comfort. He could feel some wetness on his chest making his eyes moist.
He turned back to look at his husband lying on the bed. Wen Qinxi glared at him with those red-rimmed eyes but in Qie Ranzhe’s view, they were enticing bedroom eyes. Leave it to Qie Ranzhe for thinking about sex while his son was crying. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"You made my baby cry. I will teach you a lesson tonight," he mouthed and Wen Qinxi’s eyes widened.
What the fuck was this man talking about? And to fully express what he felt about his husband right now he raised his middle finger at him.
Qie Ranzhe showed a shy smile before making his hand into a circle and pushing his forefinger in. Like his husband, he was also fully expressing what he felt about his husband right now.
It was then Qie Xieling decided to raise his head. Wen Qinxi roughly pulled Qie Ranzhe’s fingers hiding his obscene actions from his son but because he pulled too hard Qie Ranzhe grimaced in pain.
"Ah husband, don’t break my fingers," he cried out and Wen Qinxi who knew how high his pain tolerance was couldn’t help but roll his eyes.
"Why is pa crying too?" asked Qie Xieling nestled in his dad’s arms while peeking at his father.
Wen Qinxi kissed the top of Qie Xieling’s head before saying, "He is crying because you are crying. Let’s go. I will take you to bed."
"He is still being punished so no wifi after seven pm, no more games, no bedtime stories either. The entire school holiday you will have a tutor coming to teach you," said Qie Ranzhe before his husband went easy on Qie Xieling.
Qie Xieling had nothing to say as the guilty party. He could only cry over the fact that without wifi he won’t be able to game anymore throughout the school holidays and have a tutor.
After his dad tucked him in and left Qie Xieling took out his cell phone. As expected his father wasn’t messing around. His wifi had already been turned off on his cell phone only. He couldn’t reconnect whether he wanted to or not. With a deep sigh, he shuffled to the side and switched on his mobile data.
When he turned it on he went to check his messages. Bo Ailun was wailing that his mother found out about the fireworks and that he was grounded. Qie Xieling who was in an even worse predicament couldn’t bring himself to comfort him.
He sent him a series of crying emojis before exiting the interface. He was just mindlessly scrolling down when he came across Luo Muchen’s profile.
His entire body froze for a moment when he realised that Luo Muchen’s profile picture was that of fireworks not the ones from today though . They were much more beautiful and it was a very big display like new years fireworks or something.
Qie Xieling clicked his profile subconsciously and he found himself staring at Luo Muchen’s recent moments. There was a gif of his shabby firework display from today with one word captioned which was beautiful.
Qie Xieling, "..."
He knew a lot of classmates had uploaded the same firework display in their moments but why did it feel weird when Luo Muchen did it? Also, what was up with the word beautiful? It was just weird. Qie Xieling reacted to it sending a face with open mouth vomiting emoji.
Luo Muchen was already in bed when his cell phone lit up. He took it from the pedestal and saw that a lot of people had reacted to his recent post. Most of them were red hearts or face with eyes hearts emojis but one reaction stood out and that was Qie Xieling’s.
Luo Muchen tried to suppress his excitement but in the end, he couldn’t hold back. The boy who was always poised and excited pulled the quilt before kicking it off.
It was unfortunate that while he was doing this his mother opened his bedroom door.
Luo Shih, "..."
She glanced around a little confused. She was looking for her son because whoever was excitedly kicking the quilt over there was not her son at all.
"Ma," he said after quickly calming down, "what are you doing in here."
"Move over. I am sleeping here today. I just watched a horror film and that was a big mistake," she said while tossing her pillow on the bed.
Luo Muchen, "..."
How was it watched by mistake? Her logic didn’t make sense at all. "No, go back to your room. You snore every single time," he said but Luo Shih was stubborn.
"I see. Now that you are about to go to high school you despise me. How can a child I gave birth to treat me like that? Uh, ten hours of labour all by myself with no epidural and now you treat me like this." she said using her skill of emotional blackmail.
"Didn’t you have a C-section?" asked Luo Muchen catching his mother in an outright lie.
"Fine c-section or natural birth it makes no difference. Pain is pain," she said frustratedly pushing her hair back.
Ten minutes later loud snores like those from a pig bounced off the walls as Luo Muchen covered his head with a pillow his eyes wide open like he had no sleep left in him.
Could he get a refund and pick a new mum?
