Chapter 149: Little bow peep

Qie Xieling was already foreseeing his death when he was slammed into a wall one more time before falling to the ground with a loud thud.

That was a big mistake on King Luo’s part. He shouldn’t have let him go because now that he did, Qie Xieling was going to pay him back twofold and hold a grudge against him.

He stumbled in the darkness and the thick cloud of dust while pulling out the same dagger as he had before.

As the dragon descended upon him with a thunderous roar, its massive jaws gaping open to reveal rows of razor-sharp teeth, he cut his palm again with a grimace.

He chanted a spell but barely had a chance to defend himself. His fire spells barely made a scratch on King Luo’s thick scales.

Qie Xieling managed to dodge the dragon’s fiery breath, but he wasn’t left unscathed. It had scorched his skin, leaving his arm burnt.

With a fierce determination in his eyes, Qie Xieling focused all of his energy on the shrinking spell. He whispered ancient incantations under his breath, calling upon the magic of his draconic bloodline, which was ironically a direct nemesis of the dragon Bahamut.

Suddenly, the air around him was filled with white light, and the fierce platinum dragon shrieked in pain as it began to shrink before their very eyes.

The once-mighty platinum dragon was reduced in size and now stood before him as small as a two-month-old puppy. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

Qie Xieling couldn’t believe that it actually worked. He had done it. Seeing his tiny appearance while spotting a fierce glare, Qie Xieling couldn’t wait to punish him. He wasn’t one to spank anything or anyone, but he suddenly had the urge to spank Luo Muchen. Well, in the game, he was King Luo, but it didn’t matter to him. They had only met once, and Luo Muchen had already tried to end his life. How could he not avenge himself against such an injustice?

But as he tried to stand up, he found that his body had given up on him. He was drained of energy, and he collapsed on the ground. His display panel was flashing a warning notification. He had shrunk the dragon king but at what cost?

As he drifted into unconsciousness, Qie Xieling couldn’t help but think these two were going to leave him stranded here. The little dragon seemed quite pissed because it rushed over to him and breathed the tiniest flame Qie Xieling had ever seen. It was so none threatening and so small that it wouldn’t even be strong enough to light a cigarette.

Yunning, who liked cute small things, couldn’t help but shriek involuntarily. Coupled with the fact that this was her fiance, she couldn’t resist the urge. She reached out to pick up the little dragon, only for his entire body to be set alight in warning.

Feeling defeated, she knelt down and complained, "Luo, it’s me... your fiance. How can you not remember me? We have had a marriage arrangement since we were kids and were about to get married if it weren’t for this heartless person who made you into this," his voice trembling.

Boran couldn’t see her like this thus he stretched out his hand to touch her shoulder and comfort her, but she rudely shrugged his hand off her shoulder, her tear-filled eyes turning fierce.

She suddenly had the urge to finish Eling off. Now that she had found her beloved, was there any need to keep him alive? Their deal ended the moment she found him.

She got up, and the runes embedded in her hands lit up as the air around her stirred. She chanted something while making a hand gesture. She had picked one of the most dangerous spells to end Eling’s life and wipe him out of existence.

It was the horrid wilting spell. With the word horrid in its name, it should be indicative of how inhuman this spell was. It would utterly desiccate someone, drawing the moisture from inside to the outside of them, causing their flesh to wither and crack and crumble to dust.

As she was about to execute him, the fierce dragon just now climbed on top of the unconscious Eling, its stance in this matter clear. Seeing her beloved on top of the man she wanted to annihilate, she was forced to deflect the spell, which would undoubtedly cause her harm. Suffering from the backlash, she took a step back with blood at the corner of her lips.

She understood King Luo’s meaning at that moment. As Eling said, she wasn’t the one betrayed, so it wasn’t her place to hand down the punishment. Feeling a little annoyed, she averted her gaze.

Qie Xieling was a little ecstatic when he opened his eyes and found that he was in the dark space again. He didn’t like the dark, but knowing that he might be able to talk to Jolie made him feel a great sense of relief.

Unsure how much Leong Jinn would be able to hear or if he could hear anything at all, he didn’t call out to Jolie. He waited and waited with his head tucked in between his knees. The longer it took, the greater his anxiety, but he knew this wasn’t the right time to throw a fit.

He braced himself for what could be a long night. Just when he thought all hope was lost, he saw an incoming message flashing on his screen.

His brow furrowed as he opened it. The message wasn’t from the game system but from Jolie. The message was simple. It read,

JJ: Can’t talk the pervert is here_

Qie Xieling pursed his lips, not sure how he was supposed to respond to that if Leong Jinn could be listening in.

JJ: Don’t talk to be on the safe side_

JJ: The IP address was wrong, but your parents haven’t given up_

JJ: I am trying to embed myself in the game and keep you company_

JJ: Don’t be scared_

JJ: I am here. Cheer up_

Qie Xieling showed a slight smile, his heart feeling at ease. Jolie was a menace, but at this moment, he was extremely grateful that it was here. It would make him feel safe having it around.

JJ: By the way, you make a gorgeous girl.

JJ: Ahhh, I will call you Lilian from now on.

Qie Xieling, "..."

He spoke too soon. It was better if he was alone. Now that Jolie saw him like this, he won’t hear the end of it. Last time when his nana dressed him up like a girl to go for a tea party, Jolie wouldn’t stop calling him little bow peep for a year. It was insufferable.
