Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 110: "I am sorry..."
Luo Muchen felt a heaviness in his chest as he stared at Qie Xieling. Their two gazes met for a moment with neither of them saying anything.
After what seemed like forever Qie Xieling lay his head on Luo Muchen’s shoulder exhaling softly.
Luo Muchen stared at the head of hair tickling his neck and his throat rolled before he lay the side of his face on top of Qie Xieling’s head.
As the night wore on, they remained hidden in the cave, the shadows their only companions. They clung to each other, their bodies pressed close in a desperate bid for warmth and solace. And in the darkness, Luo Muchen silently vowed that he would do whatever it took to keep Qie Xieling safe, even if it meant keeping his secret forever.

"Lin Lin!" called out a hoarse voice like they had a sore throat or something.
Luo Muchen who had fallen asleep for less than an hour after staying up the entire night heard the sound coming from a few feet away from the cave. Recalling that Qie Xieling was hurt he quickly checked on him.
Qie Xieling was warmer than usual with beads of cold sweat laced on his forehead. "In here!" he yelled while pressing the back of his hand on Qie Xieling’s forehead.
In just under an hour the situation had taken a drastic turn. Luo Muchen was so anxious that he couldn’t help but shake Qie Xieling while calling his name.
Qie Xieling mumbled something before curling up and falling into an even deeper sleep. Luo Muchen checked the wound and seeing that it wasn’t bleeding anymore he couldn’t help but feel a slight sense of relief.
"Lin Lin!" called out Qie Ranzhe while squeezing into the cave. When he saw his barely conscious son’s flushed complexion and blood-stained clothes he feared the worst.
Because they feared he would be kidnapped they had implanted an in-body GPS just in case. His cell phone was off thus they could only use it to find him.
Wen Qinxi managed to narrow down the general area but there were so many caves here.
Qie Ranzhe and the others hadn’t searched for long though when he heard a voice coming from a short distance. It was a tight squeeze but he managed to get inside.
"Lin Lin! Oh, my god, what happened?" Qie Ranzhe exclaimed, his voice trembling.
His eyes filled with tears as he took in the sight of his son. He quickly checked Qie Xieling’s wound and saw that it was deep but not life-threatening. He knew that he needed to get him out of there immediately.
As Qie Ranzhe was about to help Qie Xieling up, he finally noticed another figure sitting on the ground next to him. Luo Muchen had his head lowered, his, clothes and face covered in dirt and blood. Luo Muchen couldn’t help but blame himself for failing to protect Qie Xieling so he raised his head and apologised.
"I am sorry... I failed to keep him safe," he said and Qie Ranzhe who was about to ask him if he was okay, swallowed his words back.
"Don’t beat yourself up," he replied before picking up Qie Xieling and continuing to ask, "Can you walk?"
Luo Muchen nodded his head and Qie Ranzhe responded, "Then let’s go."

The vacation island was left in a chaotic mess ridden with bullets and dead bodies of the gunmen scattered all over the island.
The few that were still alive but injured had been long disappeared. No one not even the navy called to assist could find traces of them.
It seemed like they had disappeared from the face of the earth. Little did they know that Luo Shih had already gotten her hands on them. They would simply vanish off the face of the earth with no marked graves like their bodies had been cast into the sea.
The story of how the holiday island hosted two hundred high school teenagers from an international school with prestigious backgrounds had spread all over the world. Because of the gravity of the situation, the president personally apologised to the families but it was hard for it to be accepted.
The fact that the first response by the coast guards was delayed, allowed for three more boats to anchor ashore further complicating matters.
If the students hadn’t brought personal security then there would have been plenty of casualties and the students would have been kidnapped.
This matter became a heated discussion with two countries throwing shade at each other. Meanwhile, the person at the centre of this drama was standing behind his mother’s chair looking down at the captives with a look of hatred in his eyes.
The men had been battered and bruised but they kept their mouths tightly shut. If they had suicide pills hiding in their teeth like spies, they would have chewed them already and dropped dead. It was better than selling the culprit out.
Looking into their determined eyes Luo Shih could see that they had made up their minds and nothing she could do to them could dissuade them.
The leader smirked revealing his blood-stained teeth with a lewd expression. Without any shame, he said, "I am not telling you anything well, unless... you sleep with me. Maybe then I can-."
Before he could finish his sentence Luo Muchen had picked up a brick and struck his head with it. With a loud thud, his body fell to the ground his vision blurred. Swearing at the top of his lungs he struggled to get up as his hands and feet were bound together.
Luo Shih handed her son a wet wipe while saying, "Pick him up."
While Luo Muchen was wiping his fingers one by one, Luo Shih continued to say, "You think I want you to tell me who did it hahaha?... I already know."
Her face was as terrifying as a devil out for vengeance. She rubbed her upper lip softly with her forefinger before saying, "I already know who did it. I am just here to watch you all die and appease my son who is quite... traumatised."
The men suddenly cried out in horror and one of them yelled, "You you are upstanding citizens. How can you kill people casually."
"Really?... Upstanding citizens, did you hear that," she said to Luo Muchen finding it very amusing.
Luo Muchen picked up a file on the small table and tossed it at the men’s feet. The pictures of all their victims that failed to pay for their ransom or did pay but were still executed by them were scattered on the ground.
"They were also upstanding citizens," said Luo Muchen his voice murderous enough to scare the living daylights out of these men.
