Chapter 101: cutie Lin demolishing everything...

Qie Xieling had to come up with a believable excuse at the top of his head. "It’s nothing. I just heard some rumours that someone is getting confessed to at the beach tonight. Young love, right?" he said half-jokingly.

Luo Muchen kept staring at him like an interrogator trying to see through his lies. His scrutinising gaze made him feel so uncomfortable that he grabbed Luo Muchen’s wrist and tried to pull him out of the elevator before the doors closed but Luo Muchen remained unmoved.

"Come on, I am starving," said Qie Xieling and Luo Muchen finally let him drag him away. When they exited the elevator the two of them almost bumped into the three girls from just now.

It seemed they were eavesdropping and when they were caught they didn’t seem ashamed at all.

Qie Xieling didn’t think much about it but Luo Muchen was especially sensitive. When they giggled foolishly he couldn’t help but glance at them.

The girls stopped laughing and put on serious expressions making them look even more guilty.

Luo Muchen wanted to know what was so funny but before he could ask Qie Xieling pulled him away while rushing over to Bo Ailun who was sprawled across all three chairs preventing people from sitting there.

"Lin Lin, hurry. I got the best view and they all want to jack me," said Bo Ailun while defending their table like this was a life-and-death situation.

As he approached Qie Xieling could understand why Bo Ailun had to fight people. It was because this table had a breathtaking view of the ocean, lit up by the moon and stars. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

The soft sound of the waves breaking on the shore and the warm breeze carrying the scent of saltwater and tropical flowers were especially relaxing.

Looking at the white tablecloth, surrounded by flickering candles and a stunning centrepiece, Luo Muchen almost imagined it to be a perfect romantic date. Well, that was if it were only the two of them.

"Move over," said Qie Xieling and Bo Ailun moved to the last of the three seats. Just when they were getting comfortable, teacher Peng walked overdressed like she was going on a date.

"You three move over. Those are your tables," she said pointing at the train of tables that were combined as one. She had especially reserved this table for her and Teacher Zhu and had no idea where the third chair came from. What she didn’t know was that the third chair had been dragged over by Bo Ailun.

The three boys though disappointed, didn’t fight it. They were forced to sit beside a group of girls since they were late in picking a spot.

Teacher Peng removed the extra chair and sat there waiting patiently for Teacher Zhu to make an appearance. Teacher Zhu was the last to arrive having had to knock on all the doors and make sure everyone was accounted for.

Teacher Peng’s ugly expression changed drastically when he arrived. She waved him over but she saw him walk over to one of the huge tables and made one of the boys move over.

He so happened to sit next to Luo Muchen. Qie Xieling leaned on the table and asked, "Teacher, aren’t you going to sit next to teacher Peng? It seems awfully lonely over there," he said and teacher Zhu didn’t even glance in that direction while responding,

"As stunning as she is she won’t lack company."

"Damn that’s cold," mumbled Bo Ailun but as though to prove his words, the homeroom teacher of year twelve class two went to sit next to her. She pouted aggrievedly but the person she was interested in didn’t even look at her.

You would think that after dinner was served the boisterous teens would quiet down but it turns out that was only wishful thinking.

They were still excitedly chattering on completely unaware of the danger lurking on the dark deep blue sea. Unlike the others, Qie Xieling and Bo Ailun were completely silent which was unusual.

That’s because they were demolishing everything in sight. It was like watching a live-action mukbang.

Teacher Zhu felt he would get a tummy ache so he interrupted his feasting saying, "Xieling, you are going to get sick. How much can you eat in one sitting?"

Qie Xieling raised his head with a half-bitten piece of lotus root in his mouth. His cheeks puffed up and with his hand closing his mouth he said, "I am still growing up. I need the energy."

Teacher Zhu wanted to say something else but he stopped when he noticed the problem.

Qie Xieling wouldn’t stop eating because Luo Muchen kept giving him food. He was honestly starting to think that he had worms or something. Luo Muchen was like an enabler fuelling Qie Xieling’s eating habits.

After dinner was over, teacher Zhu heaved a sigh of relief. He wouldn’t have to call Qie Ranzhe and tell him his son died from overeating. Just as he felt a sense of relief Qie Xieling got up and said, "I am going to get some ice cream. Wanna come?"

Teacher Zhu, "..."

Luo Muchen and Bo Ailun got up and he could only yell, "Take a walk on the beach or something to help with digestion."

Qie Xieling nodded his head as they left the restaurant down the garden path. While the three of them were walking slowly, Qie Xieling’s cell phone suddenly buzzed.

His steps paused as he read the message. It turns out the little junior sister wanted to talk.

Qie Xieling glanced around and saw her standing by a pillar her tiny body illuminated by the yellow light coming from the hotel windows. She waved him over and Qie Xieling turned to the other two saying, "I will be right back. Please get me a Kiwi watermelon popsicle. I will meet you back in the room."

Luo Muchen wanted to stop him but before he knew it, Qie Xieling was already gone. His good mood just now took a nose dive. He clenched his fist as he watched that figure disappear from the corner.

"What do you think they are talking about?" asked Bo Ailun having not noticed Luo Muchen’s irritable mood.

Luo Muchen clenched his jaw tightly before walking away. When Bo Ailun saw that wasn’t the direction to the dessert bar he asked, "Where are you going?"

Luo Muchen didn’t reply. He just kept walking his body shrouded in a deadly aura like he was charging into battle.
