Chapter 364: Chapter 301: You look different

The bullet pierced Leila’s forehead and exploded out the back of her head, blowing her skull apart in a burst of rainbow mist.

Leila’s body stood for a moment.

Then light flooded through her.

Her body healed itself in seconds. A new sword was created in her hand.

Her eyes snapped open.

Without a word, she rushed forward again, closing the gap as Aurianna continued firing. But Leila dodged, deflected, and pressed on.

Aurianna backpedaled, her sniper rifle glowing ever brighter as she tried to maintain distance.

But Leila was closing in.

And this time, she wasn’t planning to hold back.

Another bullet came from her side but Leila easily deflected them.

She soon caught up to Aurianna and, with a swift attack, swung her sword in three arcs, aiming for Aurianna’s torso, neck, and legs all at once. The strikes landed with brutal precision, slicing through flesh and bone. Aurianna couldn’t react in time. Her limbs were severed, her body collapsing.

"Dane, now!" Leila shouted, her voice sharp.

A thick black fog erupted from Leila’s body, swirling like ink in water, surging toward Aurianna to engulf what remained of her.

Aurianna’s eyes widened. She attempted to summon an Archeon to defend herself, but nothing appeared. Her face twisted into a frown. She quickly realized why, most of her Archeons were already occupied, scattered across the area, engaged in battle with the others.

Her brow furrowed in frustration. "Tch..."

Snapping her fingers, Aurianna forced a new set of Archeons into existence. They burst forth in a formation, intercepting the fog and blocking Dane’s attack, giving her just enough cover to retreat several meters.

Once she had created more distance, she summoned even more Archeons. They swarmed ahead like an army and charged at Leila, weapons drawn.

"I don’t have time to play with these toys," Leila muttered with disdain. She raised her hand and snapped her fingers.

At once, the Archeons froze mid-attack.

Aurianna’s eyes narrowed. After all they are twins the Archeons belonged to her too.

Leila smirked.

Without a word, Aurianna lifted her hand and launched a barrage of long-range gun spells, crimson bullets of mana, streaks of lightning, and cubes of compressed light all rocketed toward Leila. And Leila dodged and deflected those attacks. Sometimes she was hit but she would immediately recover.

But something felt wrong.

Aurianna paused, her breath catching in her throat. She looked down, and gasped. Her skin was bubbling, turning into ash before her eyes. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

"She already got me?" she whispered, horrified.

Corrosion spread like wildfire across her body. Flesh melted, bone dissolved. Within moments, she was gone, reduced to nothing.

The domain cracked with a deafening shatter. The remaining Archeons crumbled into dust.

A heartbeat passed.

And then Aurianna revived, whole again, standing in the same spot, her face scrunched in irritation.

"You caused quite a hassle," Leila said with a soft chuckle, before transforming to her normal form.

"I know, I know. Couldn’t help it," Aurianna pouted, crossing her arms.

"It’s fine," Leila replied, smiling. "Now that you’re back to your senses, you can finally have a chat with me... sister."

Outside the regal domain, Carol blinked as she watched it dissolved into the air.

"Well... I guess they’re done," she murmured.

"How could Master Aurianna lose to Lady Leila?!" Penma cried, eyes wide with disbelief.

"Leila is also our master," Kiana replied coolly, her arms folded across her chest. "Show some respect."

"I don’t care about her. It’s not like she ever liked me the way Master Aurianna does anyway!" Penma snapped.

Then Carol decided it was now time to get closer as she grabbed the handle and Flew towards Aurianna and Leila.

"Aurianna!" Kisho and Hadina called out in unison.

Hadina rushed forward without hesitation, her tentacles wrapping tightly around Aurianna as she burst into tears.

"I was so worried!" she sobbed.

Aurianna chuckled softly and patted her on the head. "You’re always dramatic, Hadina."

Then her eyes shifted to Kisho. She squinted, a flicker of confusion on her face.

"Hmm... Kisho, you look kinda different," she said slowly. There was something familiar about him, but something undeniably new as well.

The man before her had purple skin, long black hair, and bright light-purple pupils with black sclera. The strange mouths that had once covered his body were gone.

"Oh, do I?" Kisho asked, scratching his cheek with a sheepish grin.

Her gaze then landed on another figure, Dokgil. His red skin and black sclera stood out, but what caught her attention was his humanoid appearance. He had emerald green eyes, long black hair, and four muscular arms.

"You too, Dokgil?" Aurianna asked, raising an eyebrow. "You both took more human forms?"

"I presumed it would be more presentable," Kisho replied with a giggle.

"I wanted to look cool like Leila!" he replied loudly.

"Well," Aurianna smiled faintly, "you both don’t look bad."

Kisho’s cheeks darkened slightly, celery flushed. "Master told me... that according to humans, this is considered handsome," he mumbled shyly.

Aurianna raised an eyebrow at him, her expression somewhere between amusement and curiosity.

"Oh really? Then I guess we’ll have to see how many maidens faint at the sight of you now," she teased.

Kisho blushed deeper, while Hadina, still clinging to Aurianna, glared at him with a frown.

’This bastard. He’s trying to pursue her!’ Aurianna realized causing her frown to even deepen more.

"So then am I handsome?" Kisho asked.

"For some, maybe," Aurianna said with a smirk. "But not for me. After all, I’m the most beautiful one here!"

"But....My big sister Leila is way more beautiful!" she declared suddenly, puffing out her chest with pride.

Leila giggled, her tone warm and teasing. "Aww, Aurianna... you’re so cute."

But before Aurianna could bask in her own declaration, her gaze flickered around, finally noticing the others gathered nearby. Her proud expression shifted instantly into confusion.

"Wait....what the hell are they doing here?" she asked, eyes darting from familiar faces in disbelief.

"Well, Master..." Kiana began, stepping forward with her usual calm demeanor. "When you tried to teleport here, you accidentally tore open a rift in our world. So... everyone nearby kind of got dragged in."

Aurianna blinked. "Wait....what?"

"Whaaat?!" she repeated louder, her voice pitching up as her body began to tremble. "You’re saying....they....."

"Yes," Kiana confirmed with a nod.

"They saw me?! They saw me like that?!" Aurianna gasped, her face instantly flushed a deep red.
