Chapter 352: Chapter 289: Clothes

"The Mystical Academy exams are coming up, and I know I’m definitely going to pass, so I want to start preparing," Aurianna declared excitedly, practically bouncing on her heels.

Dielle chuckled at her enthusiasm. "Well, if you want to go, we’ll definitely help you."

"Thank you, Dielle! And you’re coming too, right, Deprixon?" Aurianna turned to him with an expectant look.

Deprixon shook his head with an amused smirk. "Sorry, but no. I’m not interested in the school. Remember, I’m an Apostle, which means I already have a high-level education. Besides, I’m much older than I look."

"Oh yeah, I forgot," Aurianna muttered before flashing him a frown. "Tch. Old man."

"Who are you calling old?!" Deprixon cried.

"Aurianna, as you know, I was once a student at the Mystical Academy," Vatium interjected, his voice calm. "It’s best to bring a space ring and store your belongings inside. That way, you won’t risk getting robbed."

Aurianna scoffed, crossing her arms. "And who would dare rob me? I’d blast their heads off before they even tried!" she said confidently. But her adorable pout and determined stance only made Kairo, who was watching from the side, stifle his laughter.

"Yeah, you would, Master!!" Hadina cheered, raising her fists excitedly.

"You’re not coming, Hadina," Aurianna said.

Hadina’s excitement instantly deflated, her face turning gloomy as she started sulking. "M-Master..." she whimpered, poking her fingers together.

"Sigh. I just wish she wasn’t so vicious," Boara muttered with a tired expression.

Avriel nodded in agreement.

Aurianna’s head snapped toward them. "Who are you calling vicious, huh?!" she snapped, before suddenly straightening herself and flashing a smug grin. "I’m the cutest girl you’ll ever meet in your life!"

Silence.

Everyone stared at her with deadpan expressions.

Kairo sighed and pulled off a ring from his finger. "Here, take my space ring. You can use it."

Aurianna barely glanced at it before wrinkling her nose in disgust. "Ugh, such a small space! And it’s so ugly. Take it back, I have a much better one."

Kairo stared at her, his soul practically leaving his body. "...The Saintess is so mean," he muttered under his breath, clutching his rejected ring.

Vatium cleared his throat. "Ah, yes. A reminder: once you enroll at the Mystical Academy, you will be staying there for six years before you’re allowed to leave. This rule prevents students from running to their families whenever they have conflicts, which could escalate into larger disputes. It also helps build bonds between different races."

Aurianna blinked. "Six years?"

"Six years," Vatium confirmed.

Aurianna pouted, folding her arms. "Tch. That’s such a long time..."

"And how was the experience for you, Vatium and Kairo?" Aurianna asked, tilting her head curiously.

Kairo scoffed, crossing his arms. "I hated those Floop and Devil brats. Annoying little shits," he spat, his face twisting in disgust as he recalled the sinister giggles and ever-present creepy grins of the devils that had haunted his time at the academy. A visible shudder ran through him. "But I did like the Mecha and the Succubus races," he added with a smirk.

Dielle cleared her throat and shot him a pointed glare. "Ahem."

"What?!" Kairo huffed, raising his hands innocently. "I’m still a man!" He chuckled.

"If not for the church’s rule that priests must remain virgins, I’d already be living the dream surrounded by beautiful women," Kairo lamented dramatically, sighing as if mourning a great loss.

Aurianna rolled her eyes before turning to Vatium. "And you?" she asked, staring into his calm green eyes.

Vatium simply smiled. "You should experience it for yourself. I promise it will be fun."

"Peh. Useless answer," Aurianna scoffed, waving him off.

Vatium’s smile faltered slightly as he looked at her with a betrayed expression, his eyes almost glistening with fake tears.

Catherine, stepped forward. "Lady Aurianna, what would you like me to prepare for your departure?"

Aurianna tapped her chin thoughtfully. "Hmm... I already have lots of my clothes in my ring, and I made sure Quartz prepared them for me," she declared.

"And lots of money. I need money," she giggled.

Kevin, who had been silently observing, finally spoke up. "Do you really need us to give you more money? You could just earn it at the Mystical Academy. Besides, I heard you still have plenty left."

Aurianna huffed, putting her hands on her hips. "Hmph! Greedy man! I’ve already given away so much money, and now you expect me to use my own funds again? Wickedness!"

Diella raised an eyebrow. "Do you really need all of this?"

"Of course! The fruits from the farm are amazing—I’m taking some," Aurianna said defiantly, stuffing a bag full of fruits into her space ring with a smug look.

"These 2,000 outfits will last me the entire six years!" she proclaimed arrogantly grinning at her ring.

Without hesitation, she grabbed five of the Quartz floating nearby and shoved them into her inventory. "And I’m taking these too!"

Jade, standing quietly until now, sighed and crossed his arms. "Take some of her clothes and only leave thirty," he ordered coldly.

Aurianna’s head snapped toward him, her eyes blazing with fury. "Don’t you dare! I am your damn Saintess! You will show me some respect!" she huffed, clutching her ring protectively.

Jade merely raised an eyebrow. "Respect doesn’t mean carrying your entire wardrobe across the continent."

Aurianna pouted but clung to her ring, her pride refusing to let her admit he had a point.

"Take it away," Jade commanded again, his tone firm.

The Quartz moved instantly, pulling the excessive clothes from Aurianna’s inventory.

Aurianna’s eyes widened in horror. "Jade, you’re being so mean!" she wailed, rolling on the floor.

Jade crossed his arms. "I won’t let you hoard thousands of outfits just to dump six years’ worth of dirty laundry on us later," he huffed. "Better to go through some hardship."

Aurianna turned to Avriel with pleading eyes. "Avriel! Are you really going to stand there and let Jade bully me like this?"

Avriel sighed, rubbing her temple. "Well... you did bring dirty laundry from your storage for the Quartz to wash and it was such a huge pile I almost felt pity for them. I always wondered how you had so many outfits, yet I never once saw you do laundry," she said with a scrunched-up face.

Aurianna gasped in offense. "I don’t stink! So stop making that face!" she snapped.

"You’re not a child anymore, so stop acting like one," Gixo scoffed, perched on her shoulder.

"Shut up," Aurianna grumbled, flicking him lightly.
