Rotting Land: Survive-Chapter 417 - 415: Purgatory on Earth (Part 5)
The growls from behind drew closer and closer, as my subordinate put the gun around his neck and ran for his life, his speed almost qualifying him for the Olympics.
While running, my subordinate didn’t forget to shout towards Dai Sha at the North Gate: "Boss! Wait for me! Boss! Wait for me!"
Scarface had just opened the car door, and when he looked back, he saw a bunch of beasts following behind his subordinate. A chill ran down his spine, and he cursed under his breath: "Damn! Useless waste! Can’t even hold them off for a damn second!"
Undoubtedly, if the subordinate continued to flee like this, Dai Sha would also be in jeopardy.
So, without hesitation, Dai Sha shot at his subordinate’s legs.
"Rat-tat-tat! Rat-tat-tat!"
The sounds of gunfire echoed, and the subordinate fell to the ground. Clearly surprised, it took him 2 seconds to realize and clutch his leg in pain.
The blood flowing from his wounded leg only intensified the beasts’ bloodlust, and their roars rose even higher in waves.
"Don’t damn blame me! You brought this on yourself!" After backstabbing him, Dai Sha showed no remorse. Instead, he proudly waved the steel gun in his hand.
Hearing the inhumane shouts of his leader, the subordinate angrily cursed with the rifle around his neck.
"Bastard! You son of a bitch! Trying to use me as a scapegoat! Not so easy! Even if I die, I’ll damn take you with me!"
With that, the subordinate pulled the trigger fiercely, but as soon as he did, a strong pair of zombie claws grabbed his legs, and the next moment he felt himself being dragged away like a loach.
The excruciating pain from his bullet-riddled wounded leg caused the subordinate’s muzzle to swing wildly.
Bullets scattered aimlessly, hitting the military truck’s body, the "ping-pang" sound scaring Scarface who cursed and shouted.
"Damn it! You son of a bitch! How dare you shoot me! Should have damn shot you to pieces earlier!"
Cursing aside, Dai Sha didn’t forget what needed to be done. He knew very well that if he stayed here any longer, he’d be skinned alive in no time.
With his left arm protecting his head, Dai Sha crouched as low as possible to avoid stray bullets, then quickly reached for the gear lever with his right hand, pushed it forward, and the truck moved.
Seeing the military truck slowly moving away, the subordinate’s last hope was shattered. He reluctantly pulled back the muzzle, furiously aiming at the approaching beasts and pulled the trigger.
But the 95, which had long been out of bullets, only made empty clicking sounds, no bullets fired.
Despair! The subordinate, eyes filled with terror, wanted to retreat, but the high wall behind him blocked his way entirely.
He could only futilely swing the steel gun in his hands, trying to fend off the advancing "enemies."
"Get away! Get away! Don’t come any closer! Don’t you all... Ah!!"
The scream lasted only a second before it was drowned out by the swarming zombies.
The beasts showed no mercy, biting and clawing at the subordinate’s body, the scene so horrific it was difficult to watch.
The cries continued, the wailing never ceased. By now, the stadium had become a "slaughterhouse" for the zombie horde, one vibrant life after another was being pounced on and devoured, and those who luckily escaped being eaten alive were also infected, mutating and joining the hunting ranks.
Dai Sha glanced at the rearview mirror outside the window, and amidst his heart’s lingering fears, a smile unwittingly appeared on his lips.
"Hahaha! I damn escaped! I damn escaped!"
Dai Sha was exceedingly excited. After all, battling his way out of such a terrifying battlefield was almost an impossible task.
But he did it, emerging alive and unscathed, making him feel as if he was under heaven’s protection.
However, the loud roar of the military truck still attracted the attention of the surrounding zombies. The beasts gathered mindlessly, although not many, they formed a "welcoming" formation.
To this, Dai Sha gave a slight dismissive smirk, his reddened eyes smoldering with rage.
"You damn chased me well, huh? Watch how I don’t kill you all!"
Dai Sha, filled with pent-up anger and finally seized the chance for revenge, knew that such a meager group of beasts posing as a wall couldn’t possibly block the truck.
But with his anger unresolved, driven by negative emotions, Dai Sha did not choose to evade and flee, instead, he charged straight toward the horde, venting his wrath.
While charging, he didn’t forget to shout wildly: "Come on! You sons of bitches! Come on! Like to gnaw, huh? Come gnaw me all you want! Hahaha!"
Watching the zombies being knocked flying and crushed, the boiling blood in Dai Sha’s heart surged, the scattered rotten meat and blood foam immersing him completely in the thrill of slaughter.
But as the saying goes, happiness begets sadness. Just as Dai Sha reveled in his act of revenge, the forward-moving truck suddenly jolted violently, then tilted forward and stopped.
What happened? Originally emitting excitement, Dai Sha suddenly felt a shock, and the next moment, he realized that the tires might have blown out.
Recalling the scene earlier when gunfire sprayed chaotically, a cold sweat involuntarily dripped down his cheek.
Finished! That was Dai Sha’s first thought! As if to confirm his thoughts, the car door beside him was suddenly struck violently by an outside force.
Instinctively, Dai Sha glanced back and saw a black-gray rotten hand firmly printed on the car window.
"Screech!" The sharp, blade-like zombie claws scratched from top to bottom, sending a chill through Dai Sha’s wildly beating heart.
"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!"
He furiously pounded the steering wheel, and it’s no wonder Dai Sha reacted so fiercely.
Just imagine, if you had just escaped death, barely had a moment to celebrate, then suddenly found yourself in danger again, this drastic change from hell to heaven, then back to hell, could you accept it?
Obviously, no normal person could.
Dai Sha, after pounding for a while, stopped, but the cold determination in his downcast eyes grew fiercer.
He slowly turned his head, glanced at the approaching zombies, and a murderous aura emanated from his body.
In silence, one either erupts or perishes. Although using these words to describe Dai Sha at this moment is slightly off, the back-to-back peril had driven this evil-doing bastard completely insane.
He lifted the gunstock and smashed the glass on the side, then roared, blasting at the beasts outside until those blocking the door were dealt with. He then pushed open the car door and jumped out...
