Rogue Villain-Chapter 228: Lava Slime
โFucking what?โ
The dragonling kowtowing to him while calling him his ancestor was the last thing Ackster had expected to happen. But he didnโt show his reaction. Instead, he stayed silent for a moment, considering what to do. ๐๐๐๐ฆ๐๐๐๐๐๐ท๐๐ญ.๐ธ๐ฐ๐
He considered playing along to see if he could get something from the dragonlingโs tribe. Maybe they had an ancestral treasure or knew the best training spots.
However, one dragonling, a young and inexperienced one at that, deluding themself into thinking Ackster is one of their ancestors wonโt be enough to fool the village.
Ackster sighed.
If the dragonling had just gone on his way, he wouldnโt have needed to do anything unnecessary. But if he let the dragonling go and the dragonling returned to his tribe, claiming heโs encountered an ancestor of the dragonling race, in other words, a true dragon, no doubt other dragonlings would come looking for him.
Even if none of the dragonlings from the same tribe as the one in front of Ackster came looking for him, rumors would no doubt spread, and people would move to verify the truth of a disastrous being like a dragon being on the move.
โYeah, no thanks.โ
As a human intruding on the Land of Dragons, he preferred it if he could roam around and train without needing to worry about the society of dragonlings collapsing on him.
The dragonling heard Ackster sigh and immediately thought it was because the supposed ancestor hadnโt expected someone to discover them when they were just taking a bath. So, when he heard Ackster move around in the lava and step out of it, the dragonling relaxed his kowtow and peeked at Ackster, only to be immediately terrified out of his wits.
Unlike the pristine and perfect polymorphed body of a dragon that was supposed to be like a statute carved by the hands of a craftsmanship god, Acksterโs body below his shoulders was nothing but bare bones, charred free of flesh and blood.
The power of Acksterโs Martial Body, Iron Body, Stubborn Well-Being, and mana held his skeleton together while his skin, blood vessels, organs, and muscles started growing back onto his skeleton.
Without waiting for his body to recover, Ackster took one quick step to the dragonling, who was in a state of shock at the horrendous state of Acksterโs body.
"If you had just listened to me, I wouldnโt have had to do this."
Before the dragonling could react to or even process Acksterโs words, Ackster had already snapped his neck and killed him.
โShould I eat him?โ
The dragonling wasnโt a human. But it could speak his language and was humanoid. So, Ackster wasnโt sure whether he would become a cannibal if he ate the dragonling or not. Since he couldnโt be sure, he disposed of the evidence by stuffing the body in his stupidly vast Inventory.
โLetโs hope his tribe blames it on the salamander.โ
Ackster looked around and hid his tracks while letting the salamanderโs be.
After doing his best to ensure no one would intentionally come looking for him, Ackster grabbed Mio and headed deeper inland to look for hotter volcanoes where he could continue training his Pyro Resistance skill and his recovery abilities. He also considered looking for mages out on hunts or adventures.
But it was only after getting used to another volcano that he started looking for individuals to help him train his magic resistance. His Pyro Resistance and recovery skills were already strong enough, so it was about time to get moving toward Boโs island or start looking for the ones that would help him stop The Hero in less than eight years now.
โTime flies.โ
Mio hid in Acksterโs hair as Ackster hid behind a cliff, watching a duo of dragonlings fight a lava slime the size of a house.
Only looking at raw firepower, both the mage and the spear wielder were about the same as Ackster. But Ackster had them both beat in skills and technique. Still, the mageโs power would be useful in training his magic resistance since he had none.
Ackster couldnโt tell if they belonged to the same tribe as the dragonling he killed a while ago, but he doubted it, which meant they didnโt necessarily speak his language. And since he didnโt speak their language, communication might be difficult. After thinking it over a little and weighing his options, Ackster set Mio down on the ground to keep the slime out of harmโs way while he approached the duo.
The lava slime was on its way to the land of the dead, so Ackster was just going to show himself, and after waving to the duo, he sat down on a nearby rock while waiting for them to finish. He could feel their wariness even from a distance, but he pretended like nothing while smiling.
Unable to do anything about Ackster for the moment since they were preoccupied with the bolder-like lava slime hurling heavy globs of lava at them, the two dragonlings simply ignored him. They did, however, step up their efforts to kill the lava slime as quickly as possible while also conserving their strength.
The two dragonlings communicated with each other in a language Ackster didnโt understand. But he did understand from their movements and the hostile caution that they hadnโt taken kindly to his gestures of having peaceful intentions. They were trying to drop the lava slimeโs aggro on him.
โFine. If thatโs how you want to play it...โ
Ackster didnโt have to be nice. It would just make things easier. But then again, getting the mage to unleash magic on him without getting interrupted, either by her leaving or by someone else looking for them, might pose a challenge unless he used force.
So, Ackster got up from his seat and walked over to the lava slime, cool as a cucumber despite its heat. While the mage and spear wielder had struggled to deal any lasting or serious damage to the lava slime, Ackster didnโt have the same problem.
A couple of quick rippling punches reduced the lava slime to a puddle of gooey lava. Unlike the salamander, the lava slimeโs body was the perfect material for his ripples. What other acted as a perfect defense against physical attacks worked against the lava slime this time.
Ackster turned to the two shocked dragonlings.
"Now then..."
