Road to becoming the wealthiest: Starting From Treasure Hunting in the Cabinets-Chapter 43 - Ownership of the Sports Car
Chapter 43: Chapter 43: Ownership of the Sports Car
Chapter 43 -43: Ownership of the Sports Car
Sports cars are luxury items, and that’s a consensus.
Although the brand of this sports car is still unknown, the initial auction price of 500 dollars, with each increase of 100 dollars, it still excites the vast majority of people.
Even the cheapest sports car is worth tens of thousands of dollars, isn’t it?
So, when the bald auctioneer started the auction, within a minute, the price soared to 5,800 dollars!
Sean Knight sighed, the competition is so intense, it’s really stressful!
“Eight thousand dollars!” Mr. Madden went for it again.
“Ten thousand!” Sean Knight raised his hand.
Mr. Madden looked over with a clear message in his eyes, he let you have it last time, shouldn’t you return the favor this time?
Sean Knight sneered, it all depends on skill, I’m not your father, why should I let you have it?
Their eyes met, sparks flying!
There was no shortage of onlookers enjoying the show.
An seasoned treasure hunter against a rising star, who will come out on top?
However, they weren’t the only ones who wanted to take the gamble. Diana Smith, another big shot, took advantage of the situation and raised the price to 11,000 dollars!
Sean Knight raised his hand again:
“Twelve thousand dollars!”
Old Madden clearly didn’t want to give up, raising his hand as well:
“Fifteen thousand dollars!”
With two high-value containers coming out of this row in a short time, the onlookers were excited, as if they were the bidders themselves.
Even the onlookers had already split into three groups, women supporting Diana, young people supporting Sean Knight, and middle-aged and elderly people supporting old Madden!
Sean opened his mouth wide: the situation is getting out of control!
However, the three people didn’t care about the empty title, winning the bidding was the most important thing!
When necessary, not to mention competition, it wouldn’t be impossible for them to band together and kick others out!
But at the moment, there was indeed a sense of rivalry.
The bid had reached 18,000 dollars, which came from Sean Knight.
Feeling Sean’s determination to win, Diana shook her head and raised her hands in a gesture of giving up.
Old Madden, on the other hand, wiped his hair and raised his hand:
“Twenty thousand dollars!”
His eye for deals had always been good, and he felt that this sports car must be worth some money.
Unexpectedly, as soon as he announced his offer, Sean Knight made another bid:
“Twenty-one thousand dollars!”
Old Madden turned his head and walked towards another container. Obviously, he had given up!
Sean Knight finally won the container for 21,000 dollars.
A few people gathered around the container, not intending to leave, wanting to see what car was underneath the car cover.
But Sean didn’t pay attention to them. He saw someone driving a pickup truck to the container, which should be the person Mr. John had arranged, so he closed the container door and went to deal with the big client first.
Seeing that Sean wouldn’t give them face, the people didn’t get angry. Amidst the boos, they left and went to the auction area.
“You’re Sean, right?” A middle-aged man with broad shoulders and a thick waist jumped off the pickup truck, looking younger than the one who bought the bull last time. He laughed and said:
“Mr. John told me you have some good stuff here. I came to take a look. By the way, call me Henry.”
Sean led him to where Jason was.
Jason was scratching his ears and cheeks anxiously when he saw Sean coming, and immediately put on a happy smile:
“Bosuns, is this the person who came to buy these things?”
Sean could see that Jason was already impatient to pull the helicopter out.
Some people who hadn’t participated in the container auction were also waiting here.
Henry looked at the shelves and iron wire mesh, and said:
“Not bad, it’s indeed for ranch use, I could use it at my place – come on, let me work it out.”
Jason immediately started helping, and not only did he help, but he also called on a few other people nearby to lend a hand.
Some of those people didn’t move, while others laughed and chatted as they joined in.
“Twenty sets of iron frames, 500 dollars. One hundred rolls of iron wire mesh, 45 dollars per roll, 4,500 dollars, a total of 5,000 dollars.”
There was no dispute over this price, as both sides knew the real prize was yet to come.
When the small red helicopter appeared, the people who were helping let out exclamations:
“Wow! There really is a helicopter!”
“It’s small, but it looks so cute!”
A few people dragged the small single-seater helicopter out together.
The helicopter was indeed small and “cute.” Henry inspected it inside and out, then whistled and said:
“Not bad. This is a single-seater mini helicopter with a payload of 110 kilograms, used for cattle herding on ranches, weighing about 500 kilograms in total…”
Sean wasn’t interested in these specifications, but Henry quickly got to the point:
“If it’s brand new, it would cost around eighty thousand dollars…”
Sean did the conversion and found the price reasonable.
“…However, it needs repairs.”
Henry got into the driver’s seat, fiddled with some controls, and then said.
“So how much is it worth now?”
“It seems well-maintained. If I were to buy it, I’d say 60,000 dollars.” Henry thought for a moment and said.
“No, I think it’s worth at least 70,000 dollars!” Sean walked around the helicopter and found the production date. He calculated that it was produced less than two years ago.
So, it was almost brand new!
“Then I can offer 62,000 dollars…”
After some bargaining, the two agreed on 65,000 dollars.
Henry called people to move the helicopter. Meanwhile, Sean and Jason went to look at the sports car.
Unexpectedly, there were still people waiting at the entrance of the container to see the car.
Seeing Sean coming, these people joked:
“Sean, you finally came. If you hadn’t come, we might have opened the container ourselves just to take a peek.”
Sean knew they were joking since, technically, everything in the container now belonged to him.
In such cases, Sean had every right to defend himself.
He could even fire a gun with no problem!
Sean joked back:
“Well, I’m here now! The longer the mystery, the easier it is to enjoy the surprise, isn’t it?”
Just then, his mobile phone rang.
Sean glanced at it—an unknown number.
Upon answering, the other party started cursing:
The sourc𝗲 of this content is frёeωebɳovel.com.
“You yellow-skinned monkey, stay away from Joanna! Trash like you doesn’t deserve to be friends with her!
I warn you, if you get any closer to Joanna, I’ll throw you into the sea! Get lost back to your country; you’re not welcome here!”
With that, the other party hung up abruptly!
Sean was annoyed!
What was this all about? Was the person mentally ill?
Thinking for a moment, Sean realized that it was probably one of Joanna’s suitors, who must’ve found out about their relationship and decided to vent on him.
He sent the number to Joanna and asked:
“Do you know this person? He just called and insulted me.”
Joanna replied instantly:
“Sean, don’t mind that idiot! He’s the son of my father’s friend, who wanted to pursue me but was rejected. I don’t know how he got your number, but don’t bother with him!”
