Chapter 47: Chapter 47 : Bloodline

Arthur slowly muttered the name that glowed in the holographic window before him.

"The Origin King."

For a moment, the room remained silent.

Arthur’s crimson eyes reflected the glowing words floating in the air.

Then his eyes lit up.

A slow smile spread across his face.

"It sounds quite powerful..."

He leaned slightly forward, staring at the window with growing curiosity.

"Tell me what it can do."

The system immediately responded.

[ Of course, Host. Prepare to have your mind blown. ]

A larger holographic screen suddenly materialized in front of Arthur, expanding into several layers of glowing blue text.

────────────────────────────

Bloodline : Origin King (Progenitor)

Description:

The Origin King Bloodline is a unique and ancient bloodline that was not inherited from any race, ancestor, or progenitor.

Instead of belonging to an existing lineage, it allows its bearer to absorb and integrate the essence of other bloodlines into their own body.

Through repeated successful integrations, the user gradually develops a new and evolving bloodline.

Over time, this process can transform the user into the first progenitor of an entirely new lineage.

Unlike ordinary bloodlines that remain fixed once awakened, the Origin King Bloodline continuously evolves, growing stronger and adapting as more compatible bloodline essences are successfully integrated.

────────────────────────────

Core Ability – Bloodline Assimilation

The bearer can absorb bloodline essence from other beings and attempt to assimilate it into their own body.

However, this process is unstable and does not always succeed.

Successful assimilation depends on:

• Compatibility between the user’s bloodline and the absorbed essence

• The user’s physical tolerance to withstand the foreign bloodline

• The purity and strength of the absorbed bloodline

Bloodlines with higher purity contain clearer and more complete essence, making them easier to analyze and integrate.

If compatibility is low or the user’s body cannot handle the bloodline essence, the assimilation may fail, causing rejection or temporary internal damage.

────────────────────────────

Requirements to Assimilate a Bloodline

1. Bloodline Essence

The user must obtain the target’s bloodline essence through:

• Absorbing fresh blood directly from the bearer

• Extracting the bloodline from a dead body

2. Compatibility Check

Each bloodline has a certain compatibility rate with the user’s body.

Low compatibility significantly increases the chance of assimilation failure.

────────────────────────────

-Inherited Traits

-Blood Absorption

The user can absorb blood directly into their body, allowing them to sense and collect the bloodline essence contained within it.

This enables the Origin King Bloodline to analyze the structure of foreign bloodlines.

-Bloodline Extraction

The user can extract bloodline essence from fresh blood or from a recently deceased body.

This extracted essence can then be used for assimilation.

-Bloodline Integration

This trait allows the user’s body to actively merge absorbed bloodline essence into their own bloodline.

During this process, the body attempts to stabilize and adapt to the foreign bloodline.

If the integration is successful, the user’s bloodline evolves and gains new characteristics.

If the process fails, the foreign bloodline essence is rejected, which may cause temporary internal damage or strain.

────────────────────────────

Key Feature

The user does not directly inherit the powers of dragons, demons, or other races.

Instead, their body absorbs, analyzes, and integrates the power of other bloodlines, gradually reshaping their own lineage.

With every successful assimilation, the bloodline mutates, adapts, and grows stronger, slowly forming a completely new bloodline that has never existed before.

Unlike ordinary bloodlines that reach a fixed limit, the Origin King Bloodline has no true endpoint.

As long as the user continues to obtain and integrate new bloodlines, it will continue evolving and growing without a defined limit.

────────────────────────────

Arthur stared at the screen.

For several seconds he didn’t move.

Then three new system notifications appeared one after another.

[ Trait ’Blood Absorption’ has been acquired ]

[ Trait ’Bloodline Extraction’ has been acquired ]

[ Trait ’Bloodline Integration’ has been acquired ]

Arthur read the description quietly.

Once.

Then again.

And again.

His expression slowly turned strange.

He rubbed his eyes.

Once.

Twice.

Three times.

He stared at the screen again.

The same words remained.

Arthur leaned back slightly on the hospital bed.

"System..."

His voice sounded almost disbelieving.

"Tell me I’m not dreaming."

The system answered immediately.

[ You’re not dreaming, Host. What you just saw is real. This is the power we just obtained. <( ̄︶ ̄)> ]

For a brief moment the room remained silent.

Then suddenly—

Arthur burst out laughing.

"LHAHAHAHA!"

His laughter echoed through the quiet hospital room.

"Oh my... my."

Arthur wiped a tear from the corner of his eye.

He had expected something good.

But this...

This was on an entirely different level.

’A bloodline like this...’

Arthur slowly exhaled.

’Even the strongest people in this world would kill each other and start wars just to obtain something like this.’

His gaze slowly drifted toward the ceiling.

Then a crooked smile appeared on his face.

"I wish that clown of a father of mine was here to see this."

His eyes glowed faintly with excitement.

’If the Imperius family saw this...’

Arthur chuckled quietly.

’They would probably regret throwing me away.’

With a proud smile arthur leaned back against the hospital bed, the faint glow of the holographic window still reflecting in his crimson eyes.

A slow smirk formed on his face.

"Because the one they believed was rejected by the Starblood lineage..."

He paused, his gaze growing colder.

"The one who supposedly inherited nothing from the Imperius family."

His fingers tapped lightly on the bed sheet.

"Now possesses a bloodline of his own."

His smirk widened.

"And not just any bloodline."

"It has the potential to become the strongest one in existence."

Arthur exhaled slowly, the excitement in his chest still rising.

For a moment he looked around the hospital room.

White walls.

Medical monitors.

Sterile equipment.

A quiet room meant for recovery.

Nothing useful.

Nothing he could test his new power on.

Arthur sighed softly.

"Looks like I’ll have to wait until I find someone with a powerful bloodline."

He crossed his arms behind his head.

"But that won’t be easy either."

His eyes drifted toward the ceiling.

"Only high-class families... nobles... or ancient clans possess hereditary gifts like bloodlines and special physiques."

For a moment he remained silent.

Then suddenly—

His eyes widened slightly.

A thought crossed his mind.

Arthur slowly sat up.

"Wait a minute."

"System... we’re not limited to extracting bloodlines from humans, right?"

The system responded immediately.

[ Yes, that is correct. ]

Arthur’s eyes gleamed faintly.

"That means monsters... magical beasts... even ancient creatures should also have bloodline essences."

Before Arthur could continue planning further, the system spoke again.

[ Don’t worry, Host. ]

[ Let’s take one step at a time. ]

[ There is no need to rush anything. ]

[ We have all the time in the world. ]

Arthur stared at the glowing window for a moment.

Then he smiled.

"I suppose you’re right."

He stretched slightly, feeling the fatigue from the earlier transformation finally settling in.

"Let’s not rush things."

"We’ll take it one step at a time."

Arthur then let out a long yawn.

"Right now..."

He rubbed his eyes slightly.

"I just want to eat and rest."

"I’ll think about everything tomorrow after I get discharged."

Almost as if the hospital staff had been waiting for him to wake up, a nurse soon arrived with a tray of food.

And not just a small meal.

Several plates were placed on the table beside his bed.

Soup.

Rice.

Steamed vegetables.

Meat.

Bread.

Fruit.

Arthur blinked once.

Then he started eating.

And eating.

And eating.

His body had gone through a massive transformation earlier, and it demanded energy.

The plates emptied quickly.

One after another.

By the time he was finished, the table looked like the aftermath of a small feast.

Arthur leaned back into the bed.

His stomach full.

His body finally relaxed.

Within minutes—

He fell asleep like a baby.

The quiet hospital room soon returned to silence.

Morning arrived faster than Arthur expected.

Warm sunlight streamed through the window as the next day began.

Doctors performed a final check-up.

Everything looked perfectly normal.

Which surprised them greatly considering the injuries Arthur had suffered earlier.

But after several confirmations—

Arthur was officially discharged.

A few hours later, Arthur stepped out of the hospital building.

He was now wearing casual clothes instead of the hospital gown.

A simple black hoodie rested over his shoulders.

Underneath it was a dark grey shirt.

He wore comfortable dark jeans and white sneakers.

His crimson eyes looked calm.

His slightly messy black hair moved lightly in the breeze.

To anyone passing by, he simply looked like an ordinary young man.

But the power flowing quietly through his veins told a very different story.

Arthur took a deep breath of fresh air.

"Finally... freedom."

Just as he stepped forward—

A familiar voice spoke.

"Leaving already?"

Arthur looked up.

Standing near the hospital entrance was Ravina Crown.

She was dressed elegantly in a refined cream-colored coat over a light blue dress, her platinum-blonde hair flowing gently over her shoulders.

Her presence alone carried the natural grace and authority of someone born into power.

She smiled warmly when she saw him.

"I was waiting for you."

Arthur blinked slightly in surprise not expecting her to be here.
