Rise of the Crusader-Chapter 91

The man’s mouth opened slightly, he seemed to want to speak, but after giving it another thought, he kept quiet about it.
Sonia had noticed the man’s change, and she said, “What is it?” Sonia asked right away and then took a step closer to the man.
When the man heard Sonia, he gulped. He lowered his head but was soon raised by Sonia’s hand.
“Talk, what else, have I not been informed?” Sonia inquired.
“The Miller family weren’t just accused of human trafficking,” The man paused, “They are also being accused of murder.”
Sonia’s eyes twitched, she was about to speak when the man’s voice rang out.
“A massacre occurred in the port sea, involving several metahumans from the governments, and I’m also been told that someone from the heroes league was among.” The man said, “The Miller family is being linked with the massacre that occurred.”
“The governments and the heroes league are already investigating the family deeply, and now the whole member of the Miller family are in custody.”
“Everything they own, business, properties, have all been seized.” The man muttered.
.....
The corner of Sonia’s lips pointed downward as the man spoke. She was lost for words, as never in her wildest dream did she expect a scenario like this to occur.
RING!
As the man heard the phone ringing in his pocket, his mouth opened slightly, and he stared at Sonia. “What are you waiting for? Answer the call.” The man took a deep breath when he heard Sonia and then brought the phone out of his pocket.
Sonia’s eyes were fixed on the man as he spoke to the person on the other side. She didn’t utter a word and simply listened attentively to the words of the man.
And after a few minutes, the phone call ended, and the man placed his phone back into his pocket.
“We have another problem.” The man said.
“The person who was mentioned earlier from the heroes league is Luther Fernandez. He was with the group that was involved in the massacre.” The man said. “The government and the heroes league are already heading towards the port sea as we speak.”
“If they can find the Miller family’s involvements in the sea, then I’m afraid, they are going to be sentenced to death.” The man muttered.
Sonia raised her eyebrow and then shook her head. “It’s not an ‘if’ I’m certain they will find evidence of the miller family involvement in the sea,” Sonia responded.
“Before it’s too late, I need you to erase all details of our involvement with the Miller family. The government and the heroes league will look into those who are in a relationship with the Miller family, and we can’t be among.” Sonia’s voice rang out.
The man nodded his head when he heard Sonia. He hurried towards the exit door and was about to leave the bunker when he suddenly turned towards Sonia.
“Sonia, what are you going to do about VA?” He asked. “We can choose to ignore it, but how long are we going to act like we aren’t aware of their advance on us.”
“I’m not quite sure who is targeting us this way, but if someone is topping the list among the rest, then it’s going to them.” The man said.
The frown on Sonia’s face deepened after the man spoke. Her eyes bulged, and she said, “I will handle them, you go deal with the task handed to you.”
With a nod of his head, the man walked out of the bunker.
After the man left the bunker, Sonia covered her face with her hands and then heaved a deep breath.
The truth was, she had no idea how she was going to deal with VA. She had tried every means of any necessary to find them, but it was all in vain. There was no record of them, and it was as though they didn’t exist.
While Sonia continued to ponder on how she was going to handle the problem ahead, she was oblivious to the fact that throughout the entire time, the three men who were in the bunker had eyes on her.
Sonia was wearing very little clothing that revealed her exquisite curves, and as the three of them seized those elegant legs all the way to the top, they licked their lips with a tinge of lust on their faces.
...
Meanwhile, in the male dormitory, Devon, Aiden, and Bane gathered in the living room, with each of them holding on to a paper.
Their eyes were glued to the papers in there, and the three of them had different expressions on their faces. Aiden and Bane’s eyes flickered with joy and excitement evident, and as for Devon, a light frown appeared was on his face.
“Yes!!!” Suddenly, Aiden yelled and then burst into laughter. It wasn’t just Aiden who was laughing and a second after, Bane also erupt into one as well.
The both of them danced around the living room, and it was only after they saw Devon that they paused. Aiden and Bane stared at one another, wondering why he had that grim expression appeared on.
The papers they had just received were the midterm assessments they worked on a few days ago.
Bane and Aiden had been excited because not only did they do exceedingly well in the assessment, but the academy was also going to reward them for their performance. So, when they saw Devon staring at the paper with that look on his face, they couldn’t help but be perplexed.
“What do you think happened?” Bane asked in a soft tone.
“Could it perhaps be that he didn’t do well in the test?” Bane said.
When Aiden heard Bane, he shook his head several times and said. “That isn’t possible. We copied from his paper, so how is it possible that we did well, and he didn’t.”
“Devon, what’s wrong?” Aiden asked as he walked toward Devon.
Devon didn’t respond to Aiden, but when Aiden arrived close to him, he showed him the papers with a disappointed and sad look on his face.
“Y-You...”
Aiden’s eyes twitched when he saw the score that was written on the paper. He turned towards Bane and as the both of them stared at Devon, they wished they could strangle him.
“You scored this, and you’re sad,” Bane paused. “Then I might as well go commit suicide for the score I got.” Bane blurted.
Aiden chuckled, “But yes, you did very well, I see no reason why you should be sad.” Aiden said.
“The both of you still don’t understand.” Devon spoke, “I missed 12 questions. Even though I got ninety-four out of a hundred, it doesn’t really matter. What matters is how could I have gotten four questions wrong.” Devon exclaimed.
Devon shook his head, and as he stared at Devon and Bane, who was glaring at him, he flashed a rough smile at the both of them.
“What?” Devon asked.
Bane and Aiden glanced at their papers and as they saw the score that was on their paper, they shook their head.
“The both of you scored sixty-five, not bad.” Devon’s voice rang out as he stared at Aiden and Bane’s paper. “You did a good job, but you still have to work harder, the same applies to me,” Devon said.
Bane and Aiden hissed simultaneously when they heard Devon. The both of them knew that he was making jests of them, but who could possibly blame him, this was his time to make fun of them.
“Well, that is that about that.” Aiden abruptly sat on the chair, “Thank goodness we don’t have any activities again.” Bane muttered as he took the gamepad on the table in front of him.
Bane nodded his head, he was about to seat on the chair when his gaze suddenly went to the paper on the table.
He glanced at the paper before moving his gaze to Devon and Aiden.
“Where is Raphael?” Bane inquired.
“He went out not too long ago,” Devon responded.
When Bane heard Devon, he grabbed the paper and wanted to look into it when Devon’s voice rang out.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
Bane shrugged his shoulder, “It’s not like he is going to know that I checked it.” Bane said, and despite Devon’s look of disapproval, he turned to the middle of the paper.
And as Bane saw the score that was written on the top of the paper, his mouth opened slightly. He placed the paper back on the table and stared at Aiden and Devon with shock evident in his eyes.
Aiden paused the game quickly when he saw how Bane had reacted. He didn’t bother to ask Bane for the score he saw, and instead, he took the paper to the table. ƒ𝔯𝗲𝗲𝙬𝒆𝚋𝐧oѵℯl.𝒄𝑜m
“Ohhhh... My goddd!”
Unlike Bane, Aiden wasn’t able to stay calm when he saw the score that was on the paper. He yelled and his eyes twitched.
“Let me have a look,” Devon said.
Devon had just taken a few steps when a sound occurred from the door. And a second after the sound, Raphael walked into the room.
Devon’s eyes turned towards Aiden, and as he saw the paper no longer in his hand, he shook his head. Devon took the game pad and then sat on the couch close to him.
“Raphael, the test results are out.” Bane stood from his seat and passed the paper to Raphael.
“Oh,” Raphael took the paper from Bane. He didn’t take a look at it, and a second after he collected the paper, he moved towards his room.
“Are you not going to open it?” Before Raphael would open the room, Bane’s voice rang out.
Raphael turned towards Bane and said, “I already know what is there.” Raphael responded.
There was a bewildered expression on Devon, Aiden, and Bane’s faces when they heard Raphael.
“That’s impossible.” Aiden blurted.
Raphael sneered, “Ninety seven.” With that said, and Raphael walked into the room.
