Luther’s eyes twitched, he had crossed both of his hands and strengthened the metals around him when he saw the tentacle’s movement. fπš›e𝗲𝔀eπš‹π‘›oπ˜ƒπ’†π—Ή.cπ—Όπ’Ž

However, he didn’t receive the slightest bit of damage from the tentacles. Not even a tip of the tentacles laid hands on his body. Luther lowered his hands gently, and as he stared at the person on his left, his eyes widened and his body shook.

With one tentacle impaled from his abdomen to the other end, the other penetrated deep into his skull.

β€œNo...” Luther’s voice rang out as he moved towards the curly-haired man.

Blood oozed out profusely from his skull and abdomen, and within seconds his body was covered in blood. It was as though he bathed in blood, as there wasn’t any area of his body that he didn’t have blood on.

Suddenly, the tentacles moved once again, as they didn’t seem to be satisfied with the damage they had just caused. The one that had punctured through the man’s skull moved swiftly and pierced through his shoulder.

Blood splattered from his shoulder, and with a bit more strength from the tentacles, it cut the man’s hand off his body.

As the hand dropped to the floor, Luther peered deep into the curly-haired man’s eyes. He could already see that life was already fading away from him, and he turned toward Vincent with rage evident in his eyes.

It wasn’t just the curly-haired man that suffered the attacks of the tentacles, but the others around. This time around, the tentacles were even more brutal with their attacks, and within the blink of an eye, there was only a handful of Luther’s men around.

.....

β€œIf because I retreated made you conclude that I’m powerless against you, then you’re completely wrong. I will make you pay dearly for this.” Luther exclaimed.

A smile, however, appeared on Vincent’s face after Luther spoke.

The tentacles immediately gathered behind him, as Luther seemed to want to launch an attack. The glaring soon began and just when it seemed to be like a fight was going to break out between the both of them, a stunning scene occurred.

Whether it was Devon, Raphael, Aliyah, Dwayne, and even the rest of the people in the shop, everyone was left startled. Never in the widest dream did they think a move like this could happen.

As Luther dashed forward, he seemed to be about to head towards Vincent, only for him to jump out of the ship. Luther then kept moving forward, and it was only after he had covered a few distances that he stopped and turned towards the ship.

β€œA fool would choose to vent his anger out, but a wise man would hold it back. I’m wise, and taking a step back doesn’t mean defeat. It just means I will take that same step forward again.” Luther’s loud voice rang out.

Everyone on the ship heard Luther as he spoke in a loud tone. And a few seconds after he spoke, Vincent burst into laughter.

β€œHaha hahaha!!!”

Vincent chuckled as he stared at Luther from the ship, β€œOnly the weak and petty would retreat in a battle. A powerful being would never submit to defeat, and regardless of how arduous the situation is, he would continue to strive forward.” Vincent stated.

β€œAt this point, I don’t know who is the hero and the villain. I chose to come to rescue my people from you, but you on the other end chose to abandon yours.” Vincent mocked.

There was an expression full of mockery on the faces of the men who were left from Luther’s group. They stared at Luther, seemingly disgusted.

Though Luther was a few meters away from the ship, he was still able to see the expression that they had on their faces. β€œI know I have failed you all, but I promise that I’m going to get your revenge,” Luther exclaimed.

Luther had just spoken when Vincent waved his hand and the tentacles moved. The tentacles hacked deep into Luther’s men’s bodies, ripping out organs, and intestines out of their bodies.

Blood filled the ship as the tentacles created a mess of their body. There were several holes on them, and after the tentacles have ripped out their hearts, and seemed to be contented with themselves, they threw the bodies into the sea.

The direction that the bodies were thrown was where Luther was.

Thud!

Luther was quick to move away when he saw the bodies thrown over. He was however able to lay eyes on the bodies of his mates, and as he saw the state, there were all in, Luther bit his lips hard.

β€œI will accept today’s defeat, but this isn’t over. I won’t rest until I see to it that I have ruined you and those people behind you.”

With that said, and Luther turned around. While his decision was absurd, Luther was very resolved about his stance. It could take days, weeks, or even months, but he was going to see to it that he arrived at the other end.

β€œAre you really going to let him go?” Xavier asked as he stared at Vincent.

And in response, Vincent smirked. He then seized Xavier from head to toe, and a disdainful expression appeared on him.

β€œYes, I’m going to let him go. If you disagree with my decision, then why don’t you go attack him? I promise I won’t interfere.” Vincent said.

Xavier gulped, and then took a step back.

Seeing, those tentacles that appeared in front of him after Vincent spoke in a displeased tone, beads of sweat immediately gathered around Xavier’s forehead.

Suddenly, the tentacle moved. They didn’t advance toward Xavier or the others on top of the ship, instead, the ten of them went into the ship.

β€œAhhhh~!”

It wasn’t then up to a minute after those screams rang out and the tentacles appeared. This time around, the ten tentacles have transformed into ten hands, and wrapped around them were several humans.

They all had a frightened and horrified expressions on their faces, and as they laid eyes on Xavier and Sylvia, their bodies trembled violently.

The people who were brought out were none other than the ones that had been captured by Sylvia, Xavier, and Devon.

β€œThis mission is of extreme importance to you all,” Vincent said, β€œSo you should start taking it seriously.”

β€œPlease... Spare our lives!”

Vincent simply acted as though he didn’t hear their pleas and focused his gaze on Sylvia and the others. β€œThe trade must be made, so get it done quickly, and return to the academy.”
