"You said you knew the way, then why are we in this situation?" Yuria asked Farah with an irked look as all of them, including Reva, Lily, and Valentina, were surrounded by men and women with pale gray skin.

Their eyes were an eerie dark silver, and they had bones that seemed to belong to humans strung along their hips and even a necklace made out of human bone parts.

There were six of these gray-skinned people, and Lily was aghast to see these six carrying two unconscious human children, their limbs strapped to a thick wooden log.

Lily and her fellow sisters could only wonder what these strange people were going to do to those kids. But Reva could guess what these people were going to do, especially since she had seen the flashbacks Anton Vahn had shown her.

However, she never expected to see human-like people with similar skin color as one of the monsters she saw in those flashbacks.

But all six of them carried the stench of death, and their expressions became wild after seeing Lily and the others.

"Don't blame me! It has been a lot of time since I left this part of the world," Farah defensively said.

The six men immediately charged toward the five delicious-looking humans with their sharp blades.

"Ah! You guys help me!" Farah hid behind Valentina as she couldn't afford to face them.

"We have to save those children," Lily said as the aura of her light seed radiated from her body, making the six of them stagger upon feeling plagued under such searing light.

Reva, Yuria, and Valentina took this chance to attack first, each of them holding nothing back and going for the kill.

Valentina cast a blood wave that cut through two of their necks and beheaded them instantly as dark red blood gushed out of their decapitated necks like a spring.

Reva was feeling sick and nauseous after coming to this world, just like Yuria. But upon being near Lily, she was already feeling better and, in fact getting better by the second.

She simply snapped her fingers together as two icy spikes manifested within the chests of two men, making them immediately succumb to the ground.

Yuria made one of them stuck to the earth by manipulating the earth near him to restrain his legs, making him unable to move. And it was only child's play for her to use one of her Spirit Weapons to deal the killing blow.

*KOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!* The last man, as if he sensed they were all done for, had already retreated a few steps back and took out a conch to blow through it, letting out a loud and long sound through it.

"Hey! Stop him!" Farah shouted frantically as the rest four of them immediately sent ethereal attacks to take him down.

The man could only watch while still blowing the conch as those four ethereal attacks blew him to oblivion.

Lily immediately ran towards the unconscious boy and girl to free them, hoping that they weren't seriously injured.

Fortunately, it seemed like they only got knocked out, and she used her healing light to wake them up.

"That was easy. I thought these weirdos would give us more trouble than we can expect," Yuria said with a sigh.

Farah scoffed as she said, "You have no idea. The real danger is not these idiots you just faced. They are just henchmen of the ones they serve. Their masters are who we should fear. Now let's go before it gets dangerous for real. That man must have warned someone by blowing through his conch."

"Who were these people? Why do they look different from us? Are they even human?" Reva asked with a narrowed gaze.

"Look, as much as I want to entertain you all with the history of this world, now is not the time," Farah said with a frustrated look.

"Ahhh! Kaunna phu!!" The two kids who woke up panicked when they saw that they were lying on the ground with five strangers surrounding them.

"Hey, hey. It's okay. We won't hurt you. We just saved you both," Lily said with a smile as her gentle light touched their bodies.

The boy and the girl couldn't understand what she said but seeing how pretty as the stars she was and how her light was making them feel comfortable like never before, they stopped panicking.

"She will surely make a good mother in the future. But nanny time is over. We have to leave. Now!" Farah firmly stressed her words as Lily quickly grabbed the wrists of the two kids and said, "Okay. Let's go."

All of them except Farah could fly, but Farah advised them to not fly since some dangerous parties would easily detect them in the air. This only made their journey a lot slower than it should be.

And right as they were about to leave, all of them felt a heavy pressure suddenly descending down them.

"Ahhhh!!!" The two kids were the first to cry since they felt as if their bodies might explode at any moment under pressure.

Lily quickly used her ethereal energy to shield them from this pressure, but even she was forced to her knees by whoever was doing this to them.

Not only her but even Yuria and Reva were also slowly forced to their knees while the kids and Farah was already flat on the ground, kissing the earth with her face, "I twold you all…wee aree deadd," She said in a muffled voice.

Valentina was gritting her teeth as she was using all the strength she could to prevent her knees from buckling.

She felt that she won't be able to resist forever and so decided to look up and see who their enemy was.

All four of them saw a giant black snake with a body as long as twenty meters and ferocious fangs descending down before its body shapeshifted to become that of a human. His skin was, however a pale gray just like the six men before.

"What is going on…" Lily mumbled as she just saw a beast turning into a man looking in his thirties. This made her wonder if this man was like Valentina.
