Revenge Wears Red Lipstick-Chapter 130: Sign The Paper, Dante
Mr. De Rossi fell to the ground. But before she could aim once again, the gun was kicked out of her hands. It turned out the man had shadow bodyguards waiting for the right time to attack.
Thankfully, the sound of the gunshot echoed loud enough to gain the attention of her brothers so they rushed towards the source of the sound.
Mr. De Rossi was taken away, and Eva couldn’t follow right behind him because she was busy trying to fight off the men who tried to delay her.
She heard the engines of a car ignite and zoom off.
Mr. De Rossi got away again.
She handled the last man by knocking him down. She picked up the gun and shot him right in the head. His blood stained the leaves.
"Who was that?" Jace asked, holding his gun tightly in his hand after shooting another one. They were all dead now.
"That was Marcus," Eva responded. "He has Keisha."
They couldn’t believe their ears.
They’d been searching for Keisha for years and Marcus found her in such a very short amount of time?
At the hospital,
Mr. De Rossi was not happy about what had happened. Even after trying to be as slick as possible, she still shot him in his rib.
His face was red with rage. They didn’t give the doctor details of what happened, but the doctor has requested that he try to control his thoughts so his blood pressure wouldn’t rise. He was already old, something he seemed to be forgetting most of the time.
Mylo entered the room without knocking, and when he saw his father lying on the bed, he grinned.
"You never learn from your mistakes, do you?" He asked, taking a seat on the couch.
"Who told you I was here?" Mr. De Rossi questioned.
"Who else if not one of those incapable fools you keep by your side?" He questioned back, rolling his eyes. "So what did you do this time around, huh? Are your enemies crawling up on you or something? First, it was Eva, and now, who’s it?"
"Eva."
Mylo cocked an eyebrow at his father. "Eva again? Wow, that woman sure has it out for you."
He reached for the apples that had already been settled in a plate and picked up a red apple.
"So, what are you going to do now? It’s obvious Eva isn’t going to take things easy with you, especially since you’ve tried to kill her so many times."
"That should be none of your business. You don’t have anything important to do here so why don’t you just leave!" Mr. De Rossi almost yelled with a glare in his face.
Mylo took a bite from the apple, gave a snort, and reached for the door. But before he pulled it open, he glanced at his father through the corners of his eyes, his teeth silently gritted before he opened the door and closed it right behind him.
Some days passed, and Eva got to her photoshoots. She was seen by brand owners as Eva and no longer Alisha, which made her even more popular than she already was.
Her magazine shots were taken, dinners with other models, attending other shows, and being a spokesperson, all at once.
It wasn’t too much for Eva to handle. She’d already had a schedule worse than her current one years ago before her world had tumbled.
However, someone was always watching her, following her to places as if he were her personal bodyguard hired to keep her safe when in fact, she didn’t want him near her at all.
Dante didn’t bother to hide himself when he stalked Eva. He was sure she was aware he was following her. But he respected her wishes by staying several feet away from her and only watched her from a distance.
This has been her routine since the day they met at Eleoquise.
He wanted to have the perfect chance to speak to her, but she didn’t give him any.
He was left with no choice but to watch her from a distance, as she shook several men’s arms while they drooled at her body as if they’d never seen a beautiful woman in their lives before.
His blood boiled with rage, but he couldn’t do anything at the moment.
Eva was already still mad at him. Walking up to one of those men and landing a jaw-crushing punch on them would only increase her hatred for him, and that was the last thing he wanted at the moment.
"I knew you would be here," she heard her voice from behind him, almost making him jump in fear.
He’d just seen her walk into a restaurant with Maxine. It seemed they were about to sign another deal over lunch, and now, she appeared right behind him.
"Here, sign this," she said, stretching the file towards him.
Dante glanced at the file, and then at her, his face solemn.
"That’s the divorce papers. Sign it, I don’t have much time to waste," she said, reaching into her bag and placing a pen on top of it.
"I told you, I would never sign any divorce papers. I want you to continue to be my wife."
"But I don’t want you. Do you not understand that?" She questioned. "After what you did—"
"I promise to fix everything. I’ll fix everything. Just give me a little bit of time," he pleaded. "You want my father dead right? I promise, I’ll take care of it. But for now, just give me time, please."
Eva couldn’t help but scoff at him.
"I’ve already run out of time, Dante. It’s already too late. Here’s the divorce papers, make sure they’re already signed the next time you show your face to me," she said, forcing it into his hands.
Then she turned to leave.
It was just divorce papers and he was finding it hard to sign the papers. She’d been divorced before, and she didn’t mind being divorced again.
Dante stared at the papers, his face sunken.
