Returning From The Magic World-Chapter 122 The Moon Goddess
Arthur who had not drank anything for several hours took the cup and drank it. Even though it was still very hot, he finished the entire cup in one gulp.
Jonathan, on the other hand, did not take the cup. He simply took a deep breath before saying, "I'm sure you already know, we werewolves worship the Moon Goddess, Selena."
"So?" Arthur narrowed his eyes.
Here, there really is something interesting. Of course, he had heard all those legends, that werewolves were created by the Moon Goddess. However, hearing it directly from Jonathan made him feel as though it was confirmed to be true.
What is interesting is the creation of the race.
Arthur wasn't saying he couldn't do it as a great magus, but it must be very difficult, even harder than stopping time.
Rumor has it that only gods can create races so easily.
"Until now, there was a belief that the Goddess was still alive," Jonathan continued.
What he said made Arthur straighten his waist, looking at the old man seriously.
"Right, why do you become protectors of the earth while in fairy tales or novels Werewolves are often portrayed as villains?" he asked.
Jonathan's face twitched slightly when he heard the question. He looked like he wanted to snort, but held it in.
"In fact, there is not a single trace of the crimes we have committed," he replied. "It's just prejudice that comes because we are wolves. The Moon Goddess who created us is a being full of love and compassion, she lives to protect the weak. Of course, we inherited her traits. That's why we protect this world."
"Hhm..." Arthur laughed lightly when he heard that while his head was thinking about the Moon Goddess.
Now, he wondered if she was related to those golden papers.
Luckily, he had them with him so he took them out, showing them to Jonathan who immediately narrowed his eyes.
"What's this?" he asked.
"You don't seem to know, but have you ever seen letters like these!" Arthur directed the papers closer to him.
He made an observation, looking like he was reading the words on the paper
"I think I've read these letters before," he said.
"Where?" Arthur immediately asked.
Jonathan seemed to think again, it took about three minutes before he replied, "it should be from the house of my friend, an archaeologist. However, the letters weren't written on gold paper like that, they were written on a stone tablet."
"Then where is the house?"
"He lived in the capital, but he passed away and since he had no family at all, all his belongings were taken by the government. I'm not sure if you can still find him."
Arthur knit his brows at that. It's tough. "Could you give me some information about him."
He thought he would just ask Rose to investigate later.
"No problem," Jonathan replied. He then opened the briefcase in his hand and took out a large book from it.
It seemed to be a book that listed famous figures in science because when he opened the book at random, a data from a person popped up.
After a moment of turning the page, he showed Arthur the book.
The picture on the page of the book is also an old man, older than Jonathan. He had a neat appearance that looked like it was forced.
Arthur only skimmed through the data for a bit before taking out his phone to take a photo of the page.
Of course, the photo he took he sent to Rose.
"From your expression, it seems like there's nothing more you can say to me," he said.
"Yeah..." Jonathan didn't argue with that.
"Okay!" Arthur finally stood up.
"I go now." He took a step, left the house without doing any preamble.
Jonathan and Nova kept staring at him until he disappeared at the end of the street. The former then asked, "what exactly happened?"
Even though Nova had told him that Arthur was a magus, she had not told him the chronology.
Nova slowly explains the things that happened, from Rose messing up at school and she punishing her.
Hearing all that, Jonathan looked like he wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry.
"Well..." He sighed.
"Then what do you think of him?" he asked.
"On what part?" Nova asked back doubtfully.
"What part?" Jonathan suddenly looked confused, he held his chin and looked at Nova's face.
After a moment of thought, he asked again. "He's a nice guy, right?"
"So far he's been quite introverted and rarely socializes, he's never been seen bothering other people, so I can't say he's a bad guy," Nova answered.
"But he has hurt you," Jonathan said. His gaze towards Nova quickly turned strange.
The latter suddenly realized there was something wrong in her words. Thinking about it again, she almost blushed.
True, Arthur had hurt her, hit her so hard, why did she say he wasn't a bad guy? It sounded like she was defending him.
'Why would I do that?' she wondered as she pressed her lips together.
Jonathan shook his head as he stood up and walked into his room.
A young girl's feelings are hard to control and he's not the type to arrange everything for his daughter. Even though feelings sometimes make people irrational, he thinks his daughter is still smart enough to make the best decisions for herself. 𝐟𝐫𝗲𝙚w𝚎𝐛𝙣𝐨𝙫𝘦𝗹.c૦m

Arthur walked towards his house via the sidewalk. It was around 5pm, so the streets were full of people going home from work.
Surprisingly enough, he suddenly saw a car with a special license plate parked in front of a fairly large restaurant.
It was his aunt's car, of course.
When he looked around, he found Jade, standing alone while looking around vigilantly.
Arthur walked up to her and she didn't notice his arrival until he was beside her, something that surprised her quite a bit.
"Arthur," she said spontaneously and she immediately pursed her lips because it was a bit inappropriate to call that out of the blue to the nephew of a congresswoman she was escorting.
"Is my aunt in there?" Arthur asked her while glancing at the restaurant.
"Mmm!" Jade nodded.
"Who did she meet?" Arthur knew that she met someone. He wanted to know if that person was the Minister of the Environment.
Of course, it was quite impressive that his aunt could get her to come here on this very day.
