Remarriage Failed Again Today-Chapter 156: Didn’t You Hear The Crown Prince Tell You to Get Lost?
"Okay, okay, okay! We’re starting now, right now!" Justin Summers announced immediately. "Alright, no more messing around. The Consort Selection Banquet begins now!"
Five sofas were scattered around the private room.
On the sofas sat the five most distinguished figures of Lynton-Lynwood Noble Academy.
Ryan Linton sat on the sofa in the farthest corner, one foot propped on the coffee table and one hand draped casually over the backrest, the very picture of lazy allure.
The brilliant, multicolored lights overhead cast shifting shadows across his deep, chiseled features, making hearts flutter and gazes blur.
The beauties who had come to the party were all sixteen or seventeen, in the prime of their youth, and each one was a breathtaking sight.
When they saw Ryan Linton, they put even more effort into their dancing.
But Ryan Linton kept his gaze lowered, staring indifferently at the swirling liquid in his glass, seemingly uninterested in any of the beauties.
"Linton..." As Ryan Linton kept his gaze lowered, an overpowering scent of perfume washed over him. A moment later, a girl sat directly on his lap, her hands hooking around his neck.
A flash of impatience flickered in Ryan Linton’s eyes, but he didn’t push the girl away. Instead, he quirked his lips into a dangerously charming smirk. "Hm? What is it? Miss me?"
The girl pouted and muttered petulantly, "Of course I did! You know how I feel about you, don’t you? It’s all your fault for not spending any time with me. I’m mad at you..."
As she spoke, she playfully and lightly pummeled Ryan Linton’s chest with her soft fists.
Ryan Linton caught her small hand. A soft chuckle rumbled in his throat as his voice dropped to a sexy murmur, "And how exactly do you feel about me?"
"Oh, you’re terrible..." The girl gave Ryan Linton a light slap, smiling shyly as her hand began to boldly slide inside his shirt.
"I mean, Linton... What’s so great about that useless Kiera Keane? She’s so frail a breeze could knock her over, and she’s paralyzed. All she ever does is drag you down. Just stop worrying about her, okay? I can give you..."
"AHH—"
Before the girl could finish, Ryan Linton sent her sprawling with a single kick. She went flying, skidding several feet across the floor.
She retched in pain, one hand clutching her stomach as she stared at Ryan Linton in utter confusion. "Linton..."
Ryan Linton’s face was murderous as he looked at her, his voice ice-cold. "Get out!"
"What happened? What’s going on?" Justin Summers saw the commotion and hurried over.
Tears streamed down the girl’s face as she looked pitifully at Justin Summers. "Summers... I don’t know what got into Linton. He just hit me for no reason. It’s so unfair..."
With that, she burst into tears.
Justin Summers frowned and asked sternly, "What exactly happened?"
He knew Ryan Linton’s temperament. ’He’s so aloof and distant, most people aren’t even worth his time to hit.’
Through her sobs, the girl recounted what had just happened.
When Justin Summers heard the name Kiera Keane and the word "paralyzed," the color drained from his face.
’Doesn’t everyone know Kiera Keane was paralyzed because of Ryan Linton?’
’Doesn’t she know how many years Ryan has been eaten up with guilt over it?’
’Ryan Linton has only ever truly cared about two women in his entire life.’
’One is his sister, and the other is Kiera Keane.’
’For this woman to bring up Kiera Keane now... she basically has a death wish.’
Justin Summers gave the woman a look of utter exasperation and started throwing money at her. "Scram, scram, scram! The Crown Prince told you to get out, didn’t you hear him? Now beat it!"
"I don’t ever want to see you again," Ryan Linton said coldly.
The girl let out a loud wail, but Justin Summers had lost his patience and simply threw her out.
"What the hell was that? Daring to pull cheap tricks on my turf... she must have a death wish. Alright, everyone, back to it..."
BANG—
Before Justin Summers could finish speaking, the door was violently kicked open from the outside!
