Relentless Pursuit After Divorce-Chapter 2089 - 2088: The Young Ones’ Love Is So Sweet (Part 2)
So good-looking.
So sweet.
I want to eat.
Luke Campbell glanced sidelong at his friend with a composed expression beside him. After hesitating for a moment, he nudged him with his elbow, saying, "My sister isn’t usually like this."
Even though his sister had thoroughly embarrassed herself, as a big brother, he felt he had to salvage the situation if he could.
William Wilson gave Luke Campbell a meaningful look but didn’t say much. He just replied with a simple "Hmm" and drank his cup of coffee in one go.
"Ahhh, I’m going to die! How could I make such a fool of myself in front of my husband!"
Laura Jones ran back to her room, clutching the quilt and rolling back and forth, regretting so much she wished she could bury herself underground. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
Disgraceful! Disgraceful!
"I don’t even know how long my husband plans to stay at my place. Will I ever be able to face people again?"
She tilted her head back, staring despairingly at the ceiling.
Why does big brother know her husband, and why did her husband suddenly come over to her house for coffee?
Is it because Daddy knows she likes her husband and wants to throw money to promote him just so she can get special treatment?
"If only that were the case."
She pulled the quilt over her face, veiled by her infatuation, and let out a sinister chuckle.
Mere moments later, the quilt was suddenly thrown off, and she sat up on the bed—
"Ha! My husband, how could he be such a man who succumbs to money?"
No, I absolutely can’t let Daddy use money to humiliate him.
Laura Jones hid in her room the whole afternoon until a knock sounded on the door.
"Miss, it’s time to come down for dinner."
Gloria’s voice came from outside.
Laura Jones glanced outside; the sky was already dark.
By now, surely her husband wouldn’t be so bold as to stay for dinner after having coffee at her place, right?
After a bit of mental preparation, Laura Jones went to the bathroom to splash her face, then hurriedly walked out of her room.
She planned to ask Daddy and big brother clearly if they intended to use money to shame her husband.
If that were the case, she wouldn’t let them off easily.
She hurried down the stairs, and just as she reached the first floor, she saw the man sitting on the sofa in the living room, an aura of noble restraint scribed all over him.
Why is her husband still here!!!!
Laura Jones grew up surrounded by male idols.
Her daddy, her two brothers, Uncle Hall, and Wise Hall from the Hall Family, who was her age and three months younger than her, were all men whose presence would outshine the entire world.
Logically, she should have already been immune to such dazzling male charms by now.
But William Wilson was different.
Since she first watched him in a movie, where he played a monarch unifying the land, she was irresistibly drawn to his indescribable charisma.
It was precisely because of William Wilson that she started writing novels, aspiring that one day, William Wilson would star in her drama as the main character, completing her lifelong dream.
As William Wilson’s loyal fan, Laura Jones considered herself very competent.
She had been striving to become the leader of his fandom, and all her novel characters were modeled after William Wilson.
But she never thought, before becoming the fandom leader, her husband would visit her home — and—
Stay the whole day without intending to leave.
Laura Jones openly called him her husband in private, yet when faced with him in person, she was utterly at a loss, unable to call him by that term.
She uneasily looked at William Wilson, noticing his gaze directed at her, and even though she was in her own house, she was so nervous she didn’t know where to place her hands.
