REJECTED ONCE, FROZEN FOREVER-Chapter 64: THE PAIN SHE’S BEEN THROUGH
Chapter 64: Chapter 64: THE PAIN SHE’S BEEN THROUGH
"How dare they call me selfish, after everything they put me through?" Ariana shouted in anger.
"Babe, calm down!" Adrian tried to come her down.
"They tortured me for so many years and yet they think that I owe them. Come back! Huh to this pathetic pack. Do they think that I am the same girl they abused all those years." Ariana shouted pacing back and forth.
"I should have asked Amelia to torture them. She should have trapped them and show them exactly how they treated me and let’s see if they deserve a second chance." She said in anger.
Back at the hall, the warlocks looked at the werewolves as if they were a joke. Who does that to their own pack member and when she tries to move on, they start to guilt trip her.
"I don’t get it, she was destined to be the luna of this pack, she should help out, isn’t it?" One of the werewolves muttered.
"You guys speak really well." One of the warlocks said walking towards them.
"What do you mean by that?" The female wolf asked.
"I mean, you speak as if you experienced the pain she’s been through." He said in defense.
"Why are you defending her, it isn’t your business anyways?" The lady asked.
"Then why are you commenting when it doesn’t concern you either?" The warlock asked back.
"This is my pack. Of course it concerns me." She retorted.
"Have you ever put yourself in her shoes. The same pack that treated you like you were not a human, all of the sudden without any apologies they ask you to come back, will you?" He asked her and left her while she was thinking of what to say.
"This is really disappointing. The werewolves always talk about how they respect their mate bond, but from what I heard it different." One the warlocks said while they were walking.
"What did you hear?" The other asked.
"I heard that alpha Hunter slept with her on the day he found out that she was his mate but then rejected her afterwards." She replied.
"That is just cruel." The other one responded.
"Exactly and she got pregnant but still rejected her and accused her of sleeping around. He denied the child and then he took her sister as his mate. She had to endure the pain of feeling your mate mark someone else." He spoke.
"My word! And now he is making himself as the victim." One of them said in shock.
"Did you see her state when the vampires found her?" One of them asked.
Ariana returning to the pack had been a buzz, almost everyone talked about how she left, why was she a vampire now.
"I heard her say that had they not found her that time, she was as good as dead." One of them said.
Back in the hall, Dylan and Aaron watched their family going to comfort her. Dylan turned to look at the people that remained there.
"Do you guys even have a conscience? Even now, you will not let her be free, she has no ties to this pack." He said and motioned for Aaron to leave.
"I..." Ariana’s mother stuttered.
"I never meant for all of this to happen. I was just sad that she preferred to call someone else mom in my presence." She said going on her knees.
Bradley looked at his mother that was crying on the floor, he was confused. He didn’t know whether to take Ariana’s side or his mother’s side.
"I’m going to check on her." Casey said wiping the tears that fell.
"Casey, can you talk to Ariana?" Bradley asked turning to his mate.
"About what Bradley?" She asked looking at him.
"You want me to convince her to forgive you and your mother. I already did and what did you do? You always take your family’s side and never try to see from her view. You guys were the ones that made her feel like her whole life was a mistake. Do you remember the time your father beat her and refused to let her seek medical attention?" She questioned him.
"I was there, I saw her wounds, I cried as if it was me. Do you know what she would say? She would tell me not to cry, she would say that it didn’t hurt at all. I had to sneak in her room to give her food when you guys starved her. So, no I will not convince her in doing anything." She said crying.
"I thought she died; I thought I would never see her again. I am just happy that she is okay, I can’t lose her again." Casey said and ran out crying.
Casey didn’t know where she would look for her. She ran all over the place she thought she would be and didn’t find her. She paused for a moment and thought of the lake, Ariana always used to go to the lake whenever they did something to her.
She ran towards the lake; she found Ariana and the rest of them there. She walked slowly towards them.
"Ariana!" She whispered, Ariana turned to look at her, she saw Casey in tears and opened her arms.
Casey ran and hugged her tightly. She cried holding her tight.
"It’s okay, I’m fine!" Ariana said rubbing Casey’s back.
"You don’t need to forgive them. They hurt you so much." Casey muttered when she remembered the past.
"They don’t deserve it." Ariana said wiping Casey’s tears.
"I wouldn’t be alive had it not been for you." Ariana said cupping her face.
"You were the reason why I went into the hospital." Casey said holding Ariana’s hands.
They saw that the two needed a moment and took few steps back.
Casey wanted to be a doctor, so that she could be able to help her. They both thought of the time when Casey had been the one to clean the wounds, so they wouldn’t get infected.
Ariana would have been able to heal herself, but she had been too weak, and her wolf was also weak. Casey was there for her when no one else was.
"Let’s not talk about the past. When the training finishes, we will go back." Ariana spoke.
"Will I see you again?" Casey asked looking at her.
"We will meet again. Once the war is over, if I make it then we will." Ariana said and Casey covered her mouth.
"Don’t say something like that." She said taking her hand off.
"Okay I won’t." Ariana replied.
Casey stood up and they hugged before she left. The smile that was on her face turned cold once Casey was gone.
"Rosemary!" Ariana turned to her.
"Forget the treaty, torture them!" She spoke.
"You’re sure?" Rosemary asked and she turned to Travis.
"Dad?" She asked to see if it was okay.
"Don’t worry, you guys take revenge, I’ll handle the rest." He said nodding.
"You, okay?" Audrey asked again.
"I will be!" Ariana replied.
"I wanted to show you this lake, but now..." She said looking at Audrey.
Audrey looked around and realized it was really a beautiful place. It would have been better, when she saw it in a good mood, not the situation they were in.
"It is a beautiful place." Audrey said with a smile.
Casey entered the house she shared with Bradley.
"Did you talk to her?" He asked as soon as she walked in.
"Your mother went too far today." She said taking off her shoes.
"She was just hurt that’s all." Bradley said defending his mother.
"Hurt? What about Ariana? Do you know what your mother forced her to remember?" Casey asked and Bradley turned his head.
"My mother has already apologized." He said in defense.
"Of course you would defend your mother. Do you know what your mother said when she was apologizing?" Casey asked.
"Your mother accused her of being selfish in not wanting to come back, your mother wants Ariana to come back and be Hunter’s mate again, so she could help in restoring the pack. In all the words she spoke, all she spoke was the pack and Hunter." Casey spoke.
"Do you know the pain she felt to be reminded that when she needed you guys, none of you guys were there. Only now when she doesn’t need any of you, you guys want to cling on her." Casey paused.
"Casey!" Bradley called her name in shock.
"No, someone needs to give you people a reality check. She doesn’t need you guys anymore, she has parents who love her, brothers who are there when she need them, sisters to talk to and a mate who would do anything for her. She doesn’t need this pack anymore." She said turning to his side.
"If you really want her to be happy, stay away from her. All you do is remind her of the pain she tries every day to forget." Casey added.
