Chapter 47: Chapter 47: JOINING FORCES

"I was thinking since the warlock and the vampire didn’t lose many lives, they could help protect our kind until they healed." Bennet said his head facing down.

"It’s not a bad idea." Amelia agreed.

"Since the werewolves banned magic and powers, you guys need intense training." Logan spoke.

"There was one girl that was born with powers, but they said she ran away." Bennet spoke.

"Why wouldn’t she? Thanks to your law she was tortured till she couldn’t take it anymore." Amelia spoke being reminded of how Ariana had become a punching bag for the pack for more than fifteen years.

"Do you know where she is?" Bennet asked hopefully.

He had read a report from the alpha, explaining that they couldn’t kill her. The alpha had reported that she had an immense energy which they planned on using to make to make the pack stronger.

He had approved when they said they would find a way to keep her weak always.

"Yes, but she is not your concern anymore." Logan replied.

Logan had witnessed the state in which Ariana was when Adrian brought her home that day. He had asked who was so cruel to have beaten her up like that. Although he never liked the werewolf community, he felt hatred for them after that day.

Had Adrian been a step late that day, his brother would have lost his mate forever without even knowing.

"But if she could come back, she could use her powers to help the packs." Bennet argued.

"Would you like me to show you, her past?" Amelia asked turning to him.

"I can show you, then you can tell me if you think that she would be willing to help out." Amelia threatened.

"Bennet, leave the issue with the girl." Adriel cut in.

"Yes, whether she is alive or not that is not the matter at hand." Kilian spoke up as well.

Logan felt Amelia’s thoughts starting to become unstable and reached to hold her hand under the table. Amelia turned to him and smiled gripping his hand.

"Let’s get back to the topic at hand." Aurelio tried to bring up the topic again.

"I’ll talk to the vampires and see that they help." Aurelio added.

"I’ll inform the warlocks." Adriel agreed as well.

"I want to ask how we are going to win the war?" Kilian asked.

"As you saw the creatures yourselves, although they look human, they are from being human." Amelia started.

"How were they created?" Bennet asked.

"I don’t know but defeating them has proven to be a real challenge." Amelia added.

"Magic is pointless, combat is tricker so the only way would be to mix the two." Logan spoke out.

"You mean to say that we join forces?" Kilian asked.

"Yes!" Amelia said and stood up.

"You’re leaving?" Aurelio asked.

"Yes, I have to leave now." Amelia replied.

Aurelio wanted to say more but saw Logan shaking his head and he understood and nodded.

"She comes and goes as she pleases." One of Bennet’s assistants said with annoyance.

"Learn from your leader, he said nothing, but you are complaining." Aurelio turned to the guy saying.

"You’re lucky she left." Aurelio muttered under his breath, but everyone heard him.

"Why did she leave?" Adriel asked.

"Didn’t you see her mate? It looks like she was about to lose control." Aurelio replied.

"She never steps a foot inside this city unless it is necessary." Aurelio added.

"Meaning?" Adriel asked then nodded.

"I see!" Kilian understood as well.

"Adriel, we have to go and inform our kinds. Bennet ask your packs to make living arrangements." Aurelio spoke out and the meeting was dismissed.

Amelia and Logan reached at the front of the door before Amelia collapsed and Logan rushed to catch her. Logan opened the door and walked in with Amelia in his arms.

"What happened?" Samatha asked.

"Same thing!" Logan replied and they all understood.

"I’ll take her to the room. Aurelio is going to call soon; we won’t be able to attend." Logan spoke hinting at Amelia in his arms.

"It’s fine we understand." Avery said nodding.

"Rosemary, your power is one that will catch them by the surprise." Logan said walking up the stairs.

"It’s like Amelia’s own powers trapped her in the past." Ariana said looking at their disappearing figures.

"She watched her parents die in front of her very own eyes. It was only a few years after she reached her maturity. Back then she couldn’t handle the pain of losing her family members, so she ended up uncovering that gift." Samatha replied.

"We should head out, Aurelio called." Rosemary came saying with the phone in her hands. frёeweɓηovel_coɱ

"Let’s go!" Austin said walking into the room saying.

They all left to the where the meeting was happening.

"Thank you all for coming." Aurelio’s voice rang out to the whole ground.

"Is this about the attacks happening in the supernatural world?" One of the vampires in the crowd asked.

"Yes, from today onwards most vampires will go and train with the other supernatural. Most of you guys will be assigned to packs and you will aid in protecting them." Aurelio announced.

"You mean we have to go and live with those bunch of dogs." Another voice said with disgust.

"I know that the werewolves are our enemies, but we established the council to remove that stigma." Aurelio spoke.

"So, in other words you want us to be watchdogs for them." Another voice shouted.

"You gave the warning, and we trained and were prepared, so why should we help them when they don’t want to listen." Someone from the crowd shouted.

"Yeah, why should we compromise with them." Another shouted back.

"They always think that with their physique is all that they need, so let them handle it themselves." Another mocked.

Who in the vampire world didn’t know that werewolves always hyped up their physiques. The werewolves made it seem like the vampire had nothing more than their powers, but some vampire didn’t have a gift.

Most of them were just ordinary vampires.

"I know, but the council has decided to join forces with the others." Aurelio announced.

"That is all, you all will get a message with the name of the pack you are assigned to. This is the only to ensure that all the supernatural world survives." Aurelio announced leaving no room for arguments.

Adriel called his fellow warlocks for the meeting.

"The council has decided that we will join forces." He spoke out.

"This war is coming fast and we not fully prepared, the supernatural world will seize to exist. We are going to divide ourselves and help the werewolves and fairies, we will help in protecting their lands and provide training for all. The vampires as well will be involved in the project." He paused looking at the room.

He could see that most of them did not agree with this decision, but this was the only way to ensure that they survive.

"Why? Shouldn’t everyone protect their own kind." His second in command asked.

"We would, but as I said this is all the supernatural joining forces." Adriel replied.

"I know most of you guys are not happy with this decision, but this is the only way to ensure that the supernatural world continues. The hunters are determined to wipe us all out, it is why they created creatures that would not be affected by our magic. It is also one of the reasons why we are joining forces." Adriel replied answering all the questions.

"I don’t see a problem." One of them said nodding his head.

"Yeah, if you put it like that it makes more sense." His second in command agreed.

"We’ll listen to you." Everyone followed.

"Great! Dismissed." Adriel said and left the room with his second in command.

"Should we start making a list to assign people." His second in command asked.

On the other side Bennet called all the alphas together. A room filled with alphas was the most awkward room to be in. They all had their alpha arrogance aura around them.

"You have to prepare for living arrangement." He said causing all the alphas to turn to him.

"Why?" The alpha Blood moon pack asked.

"The council decided to join forces with all supernatural beings." He announced.

"You mean we have to join alliance with those bloodsuckers and witches." One of the alphas asked with anger.

"We have no choice, given that it was our kind that suffered a huge loss. We cannot defend ourselves with the numbers we have." One of the alphas who understood spoke.

"Are you going to be a traitor by agreeing with this bullshit?" One of the alphas roared.

"What is your suggestion then? Can you defend your pack with the number of wolves you have left. The last attack took half of the warriors’ lives, the other halves were left badly injured." He retorted back.

"Your majesty why did you agree to this arrangement?" One of them turned to Bennet questioning him.

"Do you think I have a choice? How else are supposed to survive? We have no choice. No one hate those bloodsuckers and warlocks than me." Bennet replied.
