Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer-Chapter 935: Vermont City
Chapter 935: Vermont City
The description of Vermont City was not much different than Star Falls City, albeit with higher traffic and population.
Unlike Star Falls City’s recent promotion to a primate city, Vermont City had long been a primate city and was regarded as the financial center.
The market in Vermont City was at least thrice the amount that their Star Falls City could generate.
In fact, the Cyclone Guild’s sales of their Nightfallen Set in the Vermont City’s Auction House had generated money exceeding 500 gold coins.
This was only for one auction event, and given that the Nightfallen Set was a stable of the Cyclone Guild, one could easily imagine how wealthy the Cyclone Guild was.
“Their wealth far exceeded us, Guild Leader,” Carmen muttered in shock when she realized the Super Guild’s revenue was insanely high. She had thought their Vanguard Guild could be on par with the Super Guild, but it became evident that she was still shallow in her mindset.
Comparing their revenue to the Cyclone Guild, it was a complete joke.
Although Carmen was merely muttering, Azalea had a good hearing to listen in on it. She held a prideful expression when she finally managed to showcase their Cyclone Guild’s might and prestige.
At the same time, she hoped to reveal bits of information to change Xu Feng’s mindset from being antagonistic toward the Northern Plane. She wanted to tell him that their differences were far too high.
It would be unwise to make an enemy out of the Northern Plane just because of one incident. An incident that had passed by, with compensation paid in full already.
One should know when to retreat and not rush toward a dead-end. Humans seek for survival, not death.
Unfortunately, Azalea’s intent had completely backfired. Rather than giving up, Xu Feng became more motivated to set them as his future goal.
He was still infuriated and focused on his plane, but his revenge toward the Reaver Guild and those behind wouldn’t be dragged on for long.
When he revealed his Haven Wind Town to the public, he already sentenced them to death. Thus, his new objective was now the Northern Plane’s guilds.
To be more specific, Xu Feng wanted the resources that were exclusively available in the Northern Plane. In other words, even without the Malefic Order Guild’s ambush, he had long planned on setting up a flag here.
‘Carmen is close to Tier 2 and I should also start power leveling. Once I meet with that individual in the Hall of Resonance Trial and nullify the debuff of my hidden class, I will be able to advance.’ Xu Feng exclaimed inwardly.
Initially, he had no plans or hopes of meeting the special individual stationed at the Hall of Resonance.
After all, he wasn’t qualified, and forcing his way would mean courting death.
That was until he completed the Testimony of Will dungeon and had his name engraved in the Honor of Glory. Whether it was by coincidence or luck or fate, Xu Feng was determined to see through the end.
Since things had somehow connected in such a manner, he would really bang his head to the wall if he were to ignore it.
A few minutes went by, and Azalea stopped at a glamorous building.
“We have arrived,” Azalea said and introduced the Cyclone Guild Residence.
Although both Xu Feng and Carmen were wearing Stealth Cloaks to conceal themselves, Azalea didn’t wear any, so many Cyclone Guild members spotted her presence.
“Isn’t that Guild Captain Azalea from the Floral Branch?”
“Who are those two unknown guests?”
“It’s probably related to the recent movement of the other guilds.”
Many Cyclone Guild members were curious about their presence, but they all knew their boundaries. Despite their curiosity, nobody dared to speak too much or approach them.
After all, there were numerous branches within a Super Guild like the Cyclone Guild. Unless one was in the Floral Branch, only a fool would dare to approach them carelessly and incur an internal conflict.
Sometime later, Azalea escorted the two of them to the Floral Branch waiting room. She then excused herself as she needed to report to her boss.
Toward that, Xu Feng had no objection nor did he question why she didn’t simply send a message to Floral Witch for convenience.
It was obvious that Azalea needed to do more than just simple reporting.
After taking a seat, Carmen didn’t converse with Xu Feng verbally. Instead, she resorted to messaging him.
Having been taught by Xu Feng, she learned to be cautious in new environment. Hence, even though they were currently alone in the waiting room, it was hard to say that nobody was spying on them.
Since messages were private by the System unless one decided to share them, Carmen could be reassured that whatever she typed in the message remained secretive.
Lunar Wraith: Guild Leader, why do I feel like the Cyclone Guild is not that impressive? It looks strong on paper and name, but I can’t see any harmony in the guild.
Reading the message, Xu Feng was amused. Obviously, the Cyclone Guild wasn’t as harmonious as their Vanguard Guild.
Lin Feng: The Cyclone Guild is like a conglomerate company with many departments. Each department has their own desire and wish to be superior.
Lunar Wraith: Then how do they manage to sustain if they have much internal competition?
Lin Feng: That’s the allure of this method. They all compete against each other, but their core is always for the greater good of the guild.
Lunar Wraith: Yuck, sounds like brainwashing to me.
Instantly, Carmen’s impression of the Cyclone Guild dropped extremely low. She would never understand why people want to join such a guild. It was simply too exhausting—both mentally and physically.
After all, she knew that this guild operated solely on contribution and their merits.
There was no sense of lingering attachment to such a guild.
Seeing her expression, Xu Feng was quiet as well. He was also once someone who belonged to such a guild and had to step over others to raise himself up.
