Reincarnated With a SSS-Rank Hypnosis Skill in Another World-Chapter 25 - Meeting Other Strange Youths
Chapter 25: Chapter 25 - Meeting Other Strange Youths
We opened the door to the carriage, and the arena where I would be fighting for the next week was absolutely breathtaking. It was out of this world. Nothing I had ever seen even came close to its beauty.
It strangely resembled the Roman Colosseum back on Earth, but it was twice as big and in good condition. There was no doubt that such an arena could welcome thousands of spectators, civilians, nobles, and more.
And in about an hour, I would be in the middle of it, fighting against someone else.
I couldn’t say that I was excited, but at the same time, I was. I wanted to know if what I learned in the past week would be useful in facing my opponents.
"Are you ready?" Elena asked me as she tapped my shoulder, standing on her tiptoes.
I flashed a smirk and nodded. "Let’s go."

Because I was with the King’s daughter, I was treated differently. I didn’t have to wait in the gigantic queue of people lining up to register for the tournament. Most of them had probably spent the night here, hoping to get in before all the spots filled up.
Anyway, I passed through all that in a breeze, and the arena’s staff even gave me a different-colored bracelet from the rest of the participants. It was dark green, while theirs were all either white or gray.
It was probably used to differentiate the status of all participants. I didn’t really care.
Nevertheless, with this green bracelet, I was shown the way into a different type of room. Elena also had to leave me behind because it was only for the tournament’s participants.
I arrived at the door, flashed my bracelet against the scanner, and it unlocked. I took a peek inside and realized that three people were already staring in my direction, frowning and not looking away from me.
But then, they quickly flashed smiles.
"Jake Vale?! Is that really you?" One of them started laughing. "You actually decided to sign up for the Royal Academy? I heard that you managed to charm your way into the princess’s panties." He clicked his tongue in annoyance. "Man... you have to tell me how you managed that. She’s really a hottie!"
I frowned while staring at that guy.
He seemed to know very well, even knowing about my tendencies of being a playboy in the past.
’Do we have a history between each other? Or... is my history really that known?’
To answer my second question, I tried looking at the faces of the other two.
One of them was a girl with long white hair and blue pearly eyes. Her face was as cold as ice, emotionless, only looking at me with a slight frown. But even then, it almost looked like her resting face.
The other one was a guy, a young-looking guy with short brown hair and a long spear covered with gold and red ornaments on his back. With a glance, I could tell that he was really strong.
It was annoying. But they didn’t have the slightest reaction to what that other guy said, only looking at me in silence, probably wondering what I would say next.
I came out of my stupor and decided to ask the safest question possible.
"Do I know you?"
"Tsk. No, well not yet anyway. I’m just a fan, really."
"A fan?" I pointed at myself. "Of me?"
The guy shook his head and sighed as if it was the most obvious thing in the entire world. "Of course! You’re a legend, dude. You get with any girl you want. You’ve been with the princesses of dozens of kingdoms. There are rumors that you had sex with the Vampire King’s daughter, and others that you can charm any girl with a glance."
He continued to shake his head as he stood up from his seat and started walking in my direction.
When he reached me, he extended his hand and revealed a bright smile. "The name’s Alek. Nice to meet you. I hope you can teach me all those tricks of yours." He got closer to me and whispered, "If you could help me charm that cold princess back there, I’d be really grateful. She keeps giving me death stares since earlier. Any tips would be nice..."
I had to be honest.
Right now, with that guy in my face, my thoughts were limited. In fact, there was one recurrent thought that kept coming back to me again and again.
’What kind of fucking weirdo is this?’
"Uh... nice to meet you, Alek," I replied awkwardly.
"Alek Poy, to be exact!"
He seemed to be expecting some kind of reaction, but I had no idea who the Poy family was and if they were even important in the first place. It seemed to hurt his ego a little.
I nodded slowly and walked past him as I reached the seats a bit further away, keeping my distance from the cold beauty and the spear user.
They were the real threats here, and they would be the ones I would have to beat later if I wanted to win this tournament.
But then, just as I sat down, the cold beauty who had been staring in silence since earlier asked me something.
"You’re Alex’s brother, right?"
A very plain and simple question. But for some reason, it made me worry. Why did she know about the existence of my brother?
"Uh... yeah. Why do you ask?"
Alek, who was watching from behind, had his jaw drop instantly. He had been trying to make small talk with this girl since earlier, and without even uttering a word, she had talked to me.
It almost made me feel a little bit of pity deep down for him.
"I heard he had a younger brother. Though... I didn’t think that he would be even more talented. I always heard that he was some useless playboy who did nothing but laze around..." She muttered under her breath. "Though... seems like it was a lie."
She continued to stare at me with her pearly blue eyes as if she could see right through me.
And that’s when it hit me.
Inside the Royal Academy, I wouldn’t be alone with Elena. My brother, Alex, would be there. The very brother who had probably tried to poison me a week ago or so.
There was even a chance that he would be watching from the stands.
