Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?-Chapter 1595: Not Grounded Anymore
-----
As Aquarina found herself grounded by her parents due to having worried them so much and having come super late last night, she quickly remembered she hadn't even been given the chance to explain her circumstances.
"I'll explain to you what happened first! You didn't even let me!"
As she said that, her parents were slightly surprised, they had indeed not even listened to her. Perhaps their anger mixed with frustration and concern might have made them too grumpy, because they sent her straight to her bed after she arrived and was reprimanded.
"Sure, go ahead…" Nepheline sighed. "But don't think that some little story is going to convince us to change our minds.
"Hmm," Shade nodded. "Well, it's up to your mother, if it were up to me I wouldn't really-"
"Dear?" Nepheline glared at Shade with a strict and stoic expression, Shade quickly felt paralyzed by her presence, a grumpy mother was not to be messed with.
"Yes, I totally agree with your mother actually…" Shade nodded, crossing his arms.
"You heard him!" Nepheline patted Shade's shoulders. "Now go on, tell us your story… After that you're studying though."
"Alright, then, it's a long story, but bear with me, alright? Now listen well!"
Aquarina quickly began to explain to her parents what she went through yesterday, that long adventure, the dungeon, then the village of the Oasis people, Agua, the mysterious ruins and the "rainbow conch" which they couldn't find, and also the many powerful monsters, and that massive swarm of overpowered lobsters that took them so long to defeat, but that were utterly delicious.
Her parents were left slightly surprised, if not speechless for a moment, it seemed that indeed, Aquarina was well justified for coming quite late, even more with all the discoveries she made and the foes she fought, and the friends she made as well.
"The people from the Oasis, I've heard about them sometimes…" said Nepheline. "So they're a tribe of Everstonian that became guardians of the Oasis, huh? And you say they're more slender, less muscular, and have blue hair…"
"Yeah, they're really great people, a bit stoic than the other Everstonian, more… Uh, well, they aren't as touchy," Aquarina explained. "Right Pyuku?"
"Aeh?" Pyuku was eating a big sandwich while Aquarina asked. "Hmm! Yes, they are… Nom… Agua is a nice girl too, she's a Priestess of the Oasis Spirit."
"And you promised her that you would bring her into adventures…" Shade sighed. "With Justicio and Silvia?"
"And she got all emotional and cried even, asking her mom, and they had a big talk and everything, and now they're preparing some ritual to talk to the Oasis Spirit to ask her for permission to let Agua keep her blessing," explained Aquarina.
Her parent sighed once more, although they still felt kind of proud of Aquarina for doing what she did and helping others like that.
But even then…
"Aquarina, you seriously don't know when not to get yourself involved into things, don't you?" Her mother asked. "It would have been simply better to just leave those people on their own… Why did you had to go disturb their peace like this?"
"But it was Agua, and she's a friend!" Said Aquarina. "W-What's wrong with that?!"
"Yeah maybe but you caused a lot of problems to her village by taking such a decision and feeding Agua with ideas," Shade said. "But, nonetheless, I am still rather proud of you, all things considered."
"Eh?"
"Yeah it was nice of you to say those things and help the lonely girl…" Nepheline said. "But you sure lack delicacy when it comes to handling these affairs, don't you?"
"Uuh?"
Aquarina was a bit confused, her parents were both angry… and happy?
"That Dungeon seems suspicious as well, we might have to go investigate it," Shade said.
"Yeah, we searched a lot already, but we couldn't find those alien creatures you said, I guess that place might've been one of the last with some of the surviving species," Nepheline said.
"Oh… I see…" Aquarina nodded, looking at Pyuku slightly worried.
"Well, that's fine. I kind of already knew they weren't here anymore. After I absorbed and became one with the other larva we found, I was able to faintly detect their presences… Well, they weren't anywhere," Pyuku said. "Although I was hoping that wasn't the case… sorry for not telling you, it could have saved you some time."
"It's fine, don't worry about it," Nepheline shrugged. "It was a nice exercise anyway, and we got to have a little adventure with my honey."
"I suppose it was nice to run around the desert and explore some unexplored areas," Shade nodded.
They didn't talk about the other thing they did which they had a lot of fun doing together…
"Umm…" Aquarina muttered, waiting for her parent's verdict.
Nepheline and Shade looked at one another, as they started talking through a Telepathy Spell.
"Nepheline, I think it's okay if we forgive her, she worked hard yesterday, and didn't realize it got so late, she went underground and all," Shade said. "And that Dungeon seems interesting to explore."
"Hmm, I don't know honey…" Nepheline sighed. "Won't the girl get cocky again and do something even worse later? I don't want to make her think we're soft. She has to respect us a bit more, you know?"
"I completely understand what you're saying, I really do," Shade patted her big shoulders, and then held her big hands, making Nepheline blush a bit, Shade's handsome face and charm quickly made her a bit weaker against his requests. "How about this? We'll accompany her to the Oasis, meet these people, and make her apologize for the trouble too. While we explore the dungeon together the kids can stay with Agua and do their thing."
"Hmmm… Only if they study though! Silvia and Justicio, if they're joining her in the trial, should learn more Spells, don't you think? I know it's a bit hypocrite coming from me, but brute force is not always the answer to everything, especially in that trial, brains and spells are as important as brawns," Nepheline said.
"Sure then, I guess we can go with that," nodded Shade.
Once they finished talking telepathically, they glared at Aquarina with serious, stoic faces, making her nervously gulp.
