'...Hmm.'

As I looked at my status screen, I hummed softly.

Things have changed a lot since I last saw it.

Like how all my stats except sensory have reached Peak Overlord.

In the last one month, I have been doing everything to train myself.

But... now, I can't find any good opponents to spar with.

Others are growing really fast, especially Elijah and Aimar, yet—.

None of them are at my level.

Only Eternal rank beings can give me a proper match.

'But there aren't any.'

Except for Wilhelm, who had stopped training with me, there isn't any other I can turn to and Yenna doesn't want to fight.

"Can you stop doing that?"

An annoyed voice chimed in my thoughts as I looked up.

The screen flickered softly before fading from my vision.

Zenith came into view, her hand on her waist as she stood upside down.

Well, it was me who was leaning against the wall upside down.

I quietly looked at her, making her tilt her head in confusion. "What?"

"I can see your panties."

Zenith immediately flushed a deep crimson, her ember eyes widening in surprise.

"Himmel!?" she shrieked, stumbling backward as she yanked down the hem of her skirt, her papers scattering all over the ground.

I chuckled lightly, pushing myself off the wall and flipping back onto my feet in a smooth motion.

"Relax. I barely looked." I grinned, knowing full well my words only made it worse. "Teddy bear printed—."

"You—you pervert!" Zenith huffed, her cheeks burning. "You're the worst!"

She crouched down, hastily gathering the papers she'd dropped.

I bent down to help, handing her a few sheets.

Her fingers brushed against mine, and she froze for a second, before quickly snatching the papers and stepping away like she was afraid I'd bite.

'Cute.'

[<Don't tease her too much.>]

'I know, I know.'

I stacked the last of the papers neatly and handed them over.

Zenith, still blushing furiously, grabbed them without meeting my eyes.

"Thanks," she muttered under her breath.

"Where is Yenna?" I asked, walking along with her.

I have been waiting for Yennefer in her office for quite a long time, yet she hasn't arrived yet.

"I don't know." she replied, shaking her head. "She said she'd be out for a while."

"I see." I mumbled, leaning on the table she put the papers on.

"Hey, help me with this." Zenith said, passing one of the papers towards me. "I wanna learn more."

It was the Runic insignia of "Dream."

After what happened to Zenith at the wedding,

Yennefer had approved for me to teach about the rest of the runes.

"How can I use it for battle?" she asked, circling around the rune.

"Hm, easiest way is to use it on its own." I replied, pointing at the insignia. "Like how mermaids used them; to get into someone's dreams."

"What if I add it with other runes." she asked, blinking innocently. "What if I use "void" along with it? Would that erase someone's dreams?"

"You can't use void though."

"Theoretically."

"It might be possible." I mumbled, rubbing my chin. "I'd have to try it just to be sure."

Zenith nodded in response, noting it down on a paper.

"Why are you so interested in the Dream rune anyway?" I asked, pushing myself away from the table.

"So I can beat you up." she replied bluntly, not even looking at me.

"Keep dreaming."

"Shut up." she grumbled. "I don't want to feel like that ever again."

"Like how?" I asked, already knowing what she was talking about. "About the day I used Garden of Vanity."

She slammed her hand on the table, glaring at me, her cheeks flushed.

"H-Himmel."

I slowly walked back away from her, raising my hand to touch my neck.

"If you do that again I swear—!"

"Oh Himmel~."

I yelled, mimicking the exact way she reacted.

"How can you be so handsome!?"

"I never said that!?"

"How could you be so good!?"

My body tilted to my side as she threw a bag towards me.

Zenith, now redder than a ripe tomato, stomped her foot in frustration.

"I never said that!" she shouted again, her voice cracking slightly at the end.

"Oh Himme—?"

"Ahhh! Shut up!"

Grabbing a fork lying on the table, she rushed towards me.

"Aye, that will hurt, idiot."

I quickly grabbed her wrist as she tried to stab me.

Zenith struggled in my grip, her cheeks puffed up.

"Let me go!"

She squeaked, trying to shake herself free, but couldn't even move me.

"Alright, my bad." I said, twirling her around as if we were dancing.

She yanked her hand away, still glaring at me.

Taking in a deep breath, she tried to calm down.

"It wasn't your fault." I said, patting her head gently. "Even Yenna was flustered."

"But she wasn't affected like me."

"Yeah. Sadly."

She glared at me once again, her cheeks puffed like a squirrel.

Her gaze shifted to my hair. "They have grown more purple."

She mumbled, stepping closer, she touched my hair.

"....Yeah."

I replied, nodding to her words.

After the life energy I got from Siersha, my hair has more purple highlights.

"They look good." Zenith mumbled, stepping in closer.

She stared up at me, her ember eyes unusually soft.

"...Thanks," I said, my voice coming out lower than intended.

Zenith blinked up at me, her hand still lightly tangled in my hair, her face only inches away from mine now.

Her gaze dropped to my lips for a fraction of a second.

BANG!

The office door burst open.

Zenith yelped, practically jumping a few feet away from me as Yennefer stepped in, a stack of books in her arms.

"...Am I interrupting something?" Yennefer asked dryly, raising an eyebrow.

"Nope," I replied immediately, shoving my hands casually into my pockets.

She just nodded. "Help me."

I moved closer, grabbing the books from her hand. "Where were you?"

Zenith, meanwhile, was furiously straightening her skirt and adjusting her sleeves, her face a deep crimson.

"Had to meet with the proxy headmaster," she said, adjusting her gloves. "Something about reallocating resources."

"Ah, you talked with Daina? What she said?"

"She wasn't happy," Yennefer added with a shrug, walking over to her desk. "Apparently, we've been using too many academy resources lately."

"I see." I mumbled, placing the books down. "Something else happened?"

Yennefer blinked as she looked at me.

For a moment, she stared into my eyes without a word.

Then....

She shook her head. "Nothing happened, don't worry."

"..."

I slowly nodded.

'Have they not been bothering her right now?'

Wondering, I glanced at Yennefer.

She kept on doing her work without saying anything.

[<Something supposed to happen?>]

'...Yeah.'

In the game, her dead husband's family members would have started harassing her.

On the pretext of taking back Zenith, who was supposed to be their blood.

'Even though she isn't.'

[<Maybe you being here changed that timeline.>]

'Maybe...' I thought, rubbing my chin.

Still, something about Yennefer's reaction didn't sit right with me.

She was a little too composed.

Like she was hiding something — or maybe protecting someone.

"Himmel." Yenna called, making me look at her. "Can you give us some time alone?"

"Uh-huh. Sure."

I mumbled, moving towards the door.

I gave Zenith a brief glance before stepping out, closing the door gently behind me.

The corridor outside was empty, no one around the place.

'...She's definitely hiding something,' I thought, leaning my back against the wall.

I crossed my arms, closing my eyes.

If Yennefer wanted to handle it on her own, I'd respect that.

But if it got too much, I wouldn't sit still.

Things are already way too unpredictable, and I can't have her take too many risks.

'Even if she is stubborn about it.'

I let out a sigh as I felt a presence creeping closer.

"What do you want?"

I asked, without opening my eyes.

"Are you busy?"

A voice that I have been hearing a lot the past month questioned back.

"Depends on what you want." I replied, opening my eyes to look at her.

Siersha smiled sweetly, meeting my eyes. "Mind going on a walk?"

"..."

I looked down at her for a while before sighing.

She started to move, and I followed behind her.

The two of us walked in silence.

The afternoon light spilling through the tall windows of the hall as I observed her.

Her long black hair flowed behind her.

Her crimson eyes flickering every now and then toward me, as if searching for something in my expression.

Suddenly, she tripped on her legs, making me quickly grab her.

"Careful." I said, squeezing her waist as I helped her.

"I'm sorry." she mumbled, looking at me as I stepped back. "Someone has been extra rough on me."

"And who might that be?"

"You, of course." she replied, pacing slowly. "I can still feel your sticky stuff inside me."

"..."

I kept my silence as I coldly looked at her.

Since the past month, she had been visiting me for drinking my blood every other day.

But...

Things always escalate and we end up doing the deeds.

"Are you not afraid?" Siersha asked, turning around and looking into my eyes. "Dumping down everything inside me without a care if I get pregnant."

She never stopped walking while I looked around, even though the place was empty.

"You vampires control your own periods." I replied, rubbing my neck. "Unless you want to, you wouldn't get pregnant."

"Aw, you have so much trust in me?" she purred, smiling sweetly.

"No." I shrugged, walking closer to whisper. "I know a horny bitch like you wouldn't do anything to upset me."

Her smile widened. "You really know how to sweet-talk a girl."

"Shut up."

Groaning, I walked past her while she followed behind.

"Well, I wouldn't burden you with a child." she said, making me glance back at her. "You aren't ready for it."

"Why did you call me out?" I asked, getting down to business.

She skipped a few steps until she was a lot closer.

Her crimson eyes met mine as she said,

"Edwin is coming back soon." she said. "I think he is ready to go all out now."

"..."

"Be careful." she whispered, twirling to move past me. "You are in trouble; after all, you did spoil all his plans with the alliance with Uzume Highbloods."

Saying so, she winked at me as she walked away.

I sighed, moving towards the window to get some fresh air.

Nothing has happened yet, and I already felt uncomfortable.

'...Edwin huh.'

Since the day of the wedding, he had been living in Lumina as if doing something on his own.

I have no idea what, but it's definitely related to the elves.

That's the only reason no one has realized that Siersha already lost her purity.

'He might announce our engagement to everyone.'

That would be a pain to deal with.

I sighed once again, leaning my face out of the window.

Siersha will be safe from all of this.

I mean, no sane person would willingly give away half of their life for someone they met a few months ago.

'Edwin will most probably think that I drugged and forced her.'

Would that thoroughly piss him off?

Absolutely.

Would that make me happy?

Absolutely.

'I will laugh at that fucker's face.'

"Himmel."

A sudden voice made me look to my side.

Daina walked towards me, holding something in her hand.

"The church."

She said, raising the letter in her hand.

"They have made an emergency summon for you."
