Standing still, Alaric took a second to read the expression on Fiona’s face.

"You’re trying to tell me something... aren’t you?" he spoke, his voice calm and soft.

Fiona slightly peeked from the rock, her eyes that of a shy girl. "Hmm..." She nodded.

Seeing this, Alaric couldn’t help but smile.

He moved closer, allowing the dreadful sound of Hina killing off the male goblins to echo behind him.

Once he had settled down in front of the girl, he said, "Tell me... what is it you want me to know?"

Fiona spread her hand out, allowing Alaric to see her palm.

It was filled with scars from different cuts.

"Injuries..." Alaric wasn’t really sure, but it was clear having so many scars on one’s hand was not normal.

"You got injured?" He tried to understand what she was trying to tell him.

Fiona nodded; he wasn’t guessing right.

"Bad goblins. Hurts females," she managed to let out.

"Oh, the male goblins did this?"

Fiona nodded, this time Alaric was correct.

Immediately, the rest of the females began to move closer towards him, spreading their palms for him to see.

’They all have scars,’ Alaric thought to himself.

If things were as it seemed, Alaric figured the female goblins were getting abused by the males.

What other explanation could there be as to why they’d want a human to help them so desperately?

"The males abused all of you?" he asked.

And they all nodded.

It was then followed by Fiona finally stepping out of her hiding spot and standing before him.

She was dressed in a short gown made from the leaves around them and was at least 5’6, taller than the rest of the short goblins that bore the same gender as her.

"Please... help us," Fiona spoke with a soft voice.

Alaric, not wanting to jump to conclusions, decided to confirm.

"And by that, you mean you want me to... kill them? The male goblins?"

"Y-yes. Reward. Kill... male goblins. We... reward."

"I’ll get a reward if I kill them?"

Fiona nodded.

Alaric sighed. ’I planned on stealing their treasures with force, but if this is another way to accomplish that, why not just do it?’

He turned around to inform Hina about their new quest, but to his surprise, she was way ahead of him.

Spread on the ground were the dead bodies of the male goblins, green blood painting the trees and ground.

Survivors that were next to be killed all stood in a single formation, shivering despite having the larger numbers.

"Hina!" Alaric called out.

Hina looked towards him.

"Why are you just standing there, my lord? Take cover!"

Hina smashed a goblin’s head on the ground, allowing it to burst with its brains pouring out of the opening.

"Forget that. I’m sending you assistance right now. Kill off all the male goblins! Don’t leave a single one alive!"

"Uhn? Did they do something to upset your majesty?" Hina joked as she punched a hole through a goblin’s chest.

"Just taking out the trash, that’s all!"

Alaric then closed his eyes and uttered with a chilling voice...

"Come forth, your master needs you."

Like a swirling storm, dark energy rushed out from beneath his feet and stretched to the back.

From within the darkness, Aurora and Laura appeared in their human forms.

"Young master."

"You summoned us."

Alaric simply pointed towards the goblins ganging up on Hina.

"Dispose of them," he ordered.

Laura and Aurora, who had been supervising the project happening back at the barony, gladly followed their master’s orders.

"As you wish."

Laura was the first to act.

With a single snap of her fingers, multiple blades appeared behind her, each one auto-aimed at the enemies.

And then, she fired.

Aurora, on the other hand, charged forward, a single punch from her sending tens flying into the air.

The female goblins watched in horror as the three women all began to kill off the male goblins like they were mere ants.

For a second, they almost forgot they had asked Alaric to help them.

In less than a few minutes, all 65 of the male goblins had been killed off, leaving only their corpses behind, scattered across the ground.

As the system announced, a smile formed on Alaric’s lips.

He knew he had managed to get on the goblins’ good side.

At first, he only did as they asked to acquire the treasures without any illegal means. But now... his eyes were set on something greater.

Now facing the goblins, he set his hand forward.

"You’re safe now. I’ve gotten rid of the bad guys," he said.

Not only had he killed the goblin king, but he had also killed his followers.

To them, regardless of the fact he was a human, he was the hero they needed.

Alaric was surprised to see some of them tearing up in relief.

A sight he didn’t expect to meet.

While it was happening, Fiona managed to walk towards Alaric, both her hands grabbing his.

’She can speak fluently?’

Fiona moved closer.

"As promised, the treasure is yours to keep." She raised his hand up a bit, gripping it tightly. "Can I also ask for one more thing?"

Alaric said nothing, his silence hinting at the fact he didn’t refuse her request.

"Would you... like to take my hand in marriage?" Fiona asked boldly.

The question, for some reason, felt like it was connected to a gigantic speaker.

Almost everyone in the forest could hear it, including the women around Alaric.

Aurora and Laura immediately sprinted towards Alaric, both grabbing his hands.

"Master?! What is this I’m hearing?"

"Hey lady, back off." Laura calmly placed herself in front of Alaric while glaring down at Fiona.
