His eyes filled with newly acquired knowledge, Alaric calmly responded...

"Before goblins mate, the male is forced to battle for the top title, the title of the goblin king. Only then does he have the right to mate first. As for how it’s done, once the females have battled amongst themselves, the winner is granted the honor of having sex with the goblin king, and the cycle continues."

His response was met with another smile from the goblin king.

Although, the other goblins didn’t seem too thrilled about it.

"For the third test..." the goblin king stood up from his throne and slowly moved closer to Alaric.

With fingers now on Alaric’s chin, he whispered, "You look like a fine man. I’d like you to get married to my daughter. Thus the test goes as follows: if you refuse, you’ll leave here alive. If you don’t... you’ll get to take the treasures."

Alaric chuckled anxiously, "M-marry? But I’m human... I can..."

"Humans are known to carry the best seeds. I am a product of that. Monsters who are a mix of human blood seldom have the best qualities of both sides. If I want to have an heir, I see no better option than the man who is already quite knowledgeable in our customs," the goblin king explained.

And Alaric was not having any of it.

He couldn’t marry a goblin. It was a goblin! He’d rather take the piss than reduce himself to such a level.

Thus, his eyes went dark.

Alaric sighed, "Welp, I tried my best. You people really know how to press a man’s buttons."

"Sorry?"

Before the goblin king could complete his words, his head went rolling on the ground right as Alaric slashed his hand to the side.

The slash was so powerful, it sliced the throne behind the goblin simultaneously.

One by one, the goblins began to panic. Their all-powerful leader had just fallen to a single attack from a human.

"He killed him!"

"He killed..."

"Him..."

The goblins raged, jumping around while beating their weapons on the ground.

Alaric ignored them.

His eyes were simply focused on the goblin he had just killed.

He didn’t feel guilt necessarily. It was more of the feeling a CEO gets after losing a huge customer.

"A shame, really..." Alaric said out loud before taking steps towards the nest.

"He’s going for our treasures!"

"Kill him!"

Some of the goblins decided to launch themselves toward Alaric.

Wasting no time, Alaric slashed his hand again, and instantly, every goblin that had gotten too close to him was sliced into pieces.

The rest took steps back. Power... The power the human wielded was way too overwhelming.

With a single movement of his wrist, almost 15 goblins fell to the ground in pieces.

They didn’t dare approach, not after what they had just seen.

Calmly, Alaric made his way to the nest. There, he could see the treasures he was looking for.

’The Temrola crystals.’

They were bright blue, with little glowing atoms dancing inside their hard shells.

Alaric went on his knees to pick up the crystals when suddenly he heard a voice coming from behind the rock.

"You... are strong," the feminine voice said.

Alaric looked toward the rock, his eyes then picking up on a little goblin peeking from the side of the rock.

She didn’t look like the rest of the goblins. No, she was more... human?

Though her skin was green, her nose was not pointy like the rest of the goblins, and her brow was nothing short of beautiful.

Alaric looked to the side, checking the system notification.

[Name: Fiona Gob.

Occupation: Daughter of the goblin king.

Special skill: Attracting valuable items.

Relationship: 67%.]

Leaving the fact Alaric was confused as to why the relationship status was still that high despite the fact that he had just killed her father before her eyes, there was still a question that ate at Alaric’s mind.

"You are the one finding these things for them..." he blurted out.

Fiona hid even more behind the rock.

Alaric turned around to check the rest of the goblins. If the daughter of the goblin king doesn’t hate him, that should also mean the rest feel the same way.

What he met... was entirely different from what he was expecting.

His face turned purple for a while, that was until he noticed the relationship status on the female goblins.

And it went on and on.

Alaric stood to his feet.

’The females all have high relationship values. What is going on here? Did they want me to kill the goblin king?’ he thought to himself.

From nowhere, Hina showed up.

"Oh? Lord Alaric, I’m glad you’re okay. These freaking goblins took me far out into the forest. It was hard finding my way back."

She spoke while moving closer to the crowd, holding goblin heads in her hand.

Seeing this, the male goblins who had been standing idly by all began to race toward Hina, their anger twice what they felt when Alaric killed the goblin king.

As they all rushed toward Hina, they completely forgot about Alaric and turned their entire hate toward the girl.

Hina was more than ready to kill them all.

As they came in groups, Hina took her time ripping them apart, despite being outnumbered.

While it was happening, once again, Alaric noticed the female goblins did not go on the attack. Instead, they stayed behind to watch.

It was suspicious.

Alaric wasn’t the type to simply let things go. Thus, he activated his mind-reading skill. And the first thing he heard was...

(Please save us. Please, human, save us.)

Alaric moved his gaze to the next female goblin...

(I pray they die in battle... I can’t keep this up anymore.)

He moved his gaze to the male...

(Dirty female, disgusting female!)

’Don’t tell me...’

Alaric turned around to look at Fiona, and just then, he realized his observation was indeed correct.
