Reincarnated As An Extra With The 10x Link System-Chapter 19: Celestial Energy
Chapter 19 - Celestial Energy
Chapter 19
There was a moment of silence as he slowly flipped through the final pages of the book, each line leaving with different questions, he slowly dropped it on the table and proceeded to stand up from the couch.
"I'll have Rik know of this, but it'll be up to her whether she wants to come visit you or not."
He let out a slight sigh as she stood up from the couch as well, slowly adjusting her robe as she said, "I'm sure she'll understand my reasons for asking her to come visit given our current circumstances."
"We have yet to identify what our current foe is capable of, and though we may have grown undoubtedly stronger, there's no telling what our limits may be or what drawbacks we might face. As far as it seems, it would be best to limit what we do around what we already know as we search for more answers, and I would be more than happy if you could help me out in whatever way possible." She added, bowing her head slightly before him.
"I'll try to persuade her." He said, before quickly leaving the room.
The crowd of people only got bigger and going past them towards the exit was a big hassle. How she could be running such a place on her own left him questioning how much experience she actually had, and under what circumstances she grew up.
Or was it something the girls had to mostly go through? He had seen his Grandmother a few times stating the importance of etiquette to girls compared to boys and how much she went into teaching her etiquette
At times it seemed rather extreme but his mother seemed to rather go easy on them most of the time. Maybe it was a difference in background and training, but he was sure Karen wasn't normal in any way.

He soon arrived back to his abode with his room just as he had left it. The Nishizuki mansion was quite big with its length reaching up to a hundred and a half kilometers.
They were only living by the branch branch courtyard of the mansion with Yuki's room being just a few meters away from his.
So far he had no idea where Riki lived and the first person to come to his mind on that was her, Yukino Hajiboma.
It took him only a few steps to reach where she lived and she was busy with embroidery when he entered. She simply threw a smile at him as he entered the room whilst concentrating on her embroidery immediately after that.
"Do you have any idea where my sister could be?" He asked, taking a quick glance around the room.
She stopped knitting for a moment as she looked down intensely at the floor, trying to recall where it could be.
"She once told me where and although I can't really tell nor remember where it was, she warned against coming to visit unless in case of emergencies. She stayed with you until you recovered, but has been busy ever since then." She said before quickly continuing with the piece of fabric she was working on.
"Most times you can never tell what's on her mind; she could save a person and still kill them without a second thought if the situation calls for it. Sometimes she scares me but she's still as kind as our mother nonetheless." He thought, slowly turning around to leave.
"If you do see her, please let her know I wanted to speak with her, it's really important." He added.
Well, after that it seemed there was nothing else left for him to do except either stay in his room or go strolling through the streets. Well according to Rikiyo there were a few jobs he could get his hands on given his current age and experience but she would have to do something about his looks first.
Seeking through alleyways, jumping the roof of buildings and running with his hand over his face just so he go and come back from a brothel just by the south of the city.
It was just as fun as it was tiring but it was still risky given the fact that there would be people coming to look for him anytime soon.
"It's already been a month so I wonder what's keeping him from coming here already. Is he scared of something perhaps?" He thought, falling straight on the bed with his back.
He was there, deep in thought for the next few hours and wasn't long before it was dawn, and then came the night. It was a full moon and looking through his window, he could see the stars shining bright.
Suddenly, his curtains blew off and the pressure blew hard against his face as he quickly rolled off the bed. An odd familiar presence instantly filled the room, and without being told he could instantly take a good guess at who it was.
"Each time you come here makes me feel like I'm about to die." He said, slowly standing up from the floor, "And you should know that the door's open for you anytime."
"I'm quite delighted by your offer, but I have quite no time to waste on someone who's already died twice. No need to worry, as long as you remain in this world you will be immortal, and believe me you don't my celestial energy for it to happen."
It was Enma speaking, his physical though not manifested. Amidst his presence, the warm night turned cold and the chill breeze blew continuously against his face.
"I shall give to you what remains of my celestial energy and after that, you must find your doppelganger. Mind not his age for he shall be the one to teach all that is of your newfound abilities." He added, before vanishing along with the wind. ƒrēenovelkiss.com
Megumi instantly fell back on the bed with his hand on his throbbing head while he groaned continuously. He couldn't sleep all through the night after that and the pain he suddenly felt soar through his body the other night never ceased.
There were multiple system notifications popping up but he never bothered to check any of them and as the day went by, he could only stay in his room looking up at the ceiling while lying on his bed.
His body was still adjusting to the ungodly amount of celestial energy that had come flowing into him at a time, leaving him in great pain and agony. It may have seemed that making him a saint of death was a step towards this day, and it surely proved great, cause he was sure it should have killed him.
And now he had been tasked with not only finding his doppelganger but meeting up with the trauma-ridden kid as well. From what he had seen in his visions he wouldn't be a easy one to deal with considering how skeptical he would be of everyone else.
"But given the fact that I am one of Enma's emissaries, and quite of a higher rank than him as well, perhaps he'll try to listen to the few words I have to say." He thought, slowly rolling down from the bed.
He stood up from the floor, placing his hand on his shoulder as he approached the door when he heard a knock. It came for a second time, prompting him to try and walk faster towards it.
The sounds that escaped his lips were groans even when he tried asking who it was and it was already the fourth time before he finally reached the door.
There was a maid waiting outside when he opened the door, and she immediately bowed to him. She had some clothes in her hand while the one behind her was carrying a covered pot, most likely containing medicine.
He could vaguely remember the one up front with the clothes; sometime back after he woke up from his coma. She was the first person he laid his eye on after the long state of unconsciousness but he never bothered to pay heed to her that day, did he?
But that wasn't his problem, and it only became more obvious to him as he slowly took the clothes from her hands. There was a strange presence she was giving off, something around him that he couldn't see before.
Maybe had it been before he would thought it was celestial energy and shrugged it off like it was nothing, but his mind was quite perceptive now. She was only using the celestial energy as a cloak.
Neither his sister nor Karin would be able to figure this out given their lack of celestial energy and overall inability to sense it which meant that they couldn't sense the presence beyond it either.
As he reached out for the pot, his gaze remained upon her and after that, they both bowed once more with her throwing a smile at him momentarily and mouthing a few silent words before turning around.
