Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 773: Master Of Wolfkind
The Wolf Master, Ralph, stood on top of his shuttle, absorbing the winds that blew his white fur cloak.
His eyes were looking at the vast army of wolves that were sprawled beneath him. Some were standing in their humanoid forms, and a few were in their true wolf forms.
Their howls contributed to the harsh wind as it seemed like they wanted to drop the world into a cold dark realm.
The army of wolves was so vast that even Ralph could not see the end of the horde. They stretched all the way to the edge of the horizon, and probably beyond.
This was his wolves, this was his army, this was the army he had led across a whole galaxy to hunt down his competition.
Ralph...was proud of himself.
Scattered around in the midst of this vast wolf horde were the giant bodies of dead orcas.
They were here and there, being nibbled on by the nearest wolves.
It was a brutal sight to behold. The frosty ground around these wolves was drenched with dark red orca blood.
The wolves close to them would reach out and tear a piece of meat with their clawed hands or sharp jaws.
How did the blubber taste? Ralph did not know. He had sunk his fangs into the flesh of these mighty beasts and had drunk their blood, but he had never swallowed any of their meat.
He didn’t want to.
Ralph had a preference toward land-based food, preferably large ruminant animals. Aquatic creatures were not bad but he wouldn’t bother eating them if he had other options.
And options were what he had in excess these days.
After the hunting of the two sides of Luck, he had changed a lot.
He allowed his beard to grow, giving him a very mature look. He had paid a lot more attention to his physique and worked on it.
Now, he was a lot more muscular and slightly taller due to his perpetually powerful stance.
He now looked like a true power player of the grand game.
In truth, Ralph was merely copying his master. Kael kept trimmed beards and allowed his hair to fall to the length of his neck; Ralph had adopted the same style.
Kael was also quite large in his humanoid form, around seven feet with well-defined muscles. He had always been bigger than Ralph and Ralph just wanted to catch up.
In a way, all the things he was doing were partly so that he would find favor in the eyes of the All-King.
As for the white wolf pelt and wolf skull that rested on his shoulders, that was just one of his many enemies who had met a very sorry end.
Ralph was carrying the duty of uniting every wolf in the universe under the same banner.
This was a hard goal but at least, he could make an attempt. He had made progress in this as well.
The population number on the vassal records for the wolves was showing a shocking number.
More than three hundred billion.
This was a staggering military might, to think that all of them were serving as Vassals for the Lion Hegemony.
Of course, these wolves were not all packed in the same place.
They were spread out across thousands of galaxies in places they have claimed as Hunting Fields.
The Wolf System allowed communication over long distances and with arkships, logistics were not that hard to actualise.
It was a good thing that Natalia, the Primordial Spider of Connection had come along at the time she came.
The wolves were not bored. There was a constant stream of missions from the lions and other creatures from other systems.
The missions tended to center around hunting but it was not always strictly that. This ensured that wolves could diversify their skills, not just depend on hunting ideologies.
Even then, ninety percent of wolves in the wolf system were active hunters and would go on at least ten super hunting trips and scores of ordinary hunting trips every year.
The economy was stable...for now.
In Ralph’s journey to acquiring so many wolves for the Hegemony and reaching such high achievements, he had met resistance.
Not all wolves were willing to join the Wolf Vassal State.
Just like Bibi II, the first wolf to have stood against the All-King, the resisting wolves met the same fate.
Ralph ripped them to shreds.
The wolf pelt on his shoulders was just one of such enemies. He had taken a fancy to wearing his kin as a trophy.
And for those he could not beat personally, he relied on technology and the wolf horde to win.
Commander Bibi had not taught him in vain. Ralph had ripened from a super mercenary on some backwater planet, to a galactic general fighting for the Conquering.
His latest achievement was what filled him with unmatched pride.
He had finally achieved Singularity.
In the whole Known Universe, he was the only Primordial affiliated to the Law of Hunting.
He and he alone would be titled the ultimate hunter.
[Marcus: Congratulations!
Ivana: Congratulations Uncle, Vicky would have been glad.
Kurse: Congrats friend.
Ares: Congratulations boss.
Bibi: Congratulations lad, can’t wait to see what you’ve become.
Claudia: Congratulations.
Shawn: Hmmm.
Louis: Congratulations.
Esta: Congratulations
Charvi: Congrats Ralph, can’t wait to be like you.
Ren: Congratulations.
Shuri: Congratulations...
...]
Ralph was constantly receiving messages from different sources. Most of them he knew personally.
But there were some that he only saw them a few times and never actually had any strong relationships with.
Ares and Kurse for example were people he was unfamiliar with. The other Primordials, he understood their messages as they were all colleagues.
But Ares was the current leader of the Goat Vassals. He was not a Primordial, he was a goat that had been following Kael since his early days on Eridoria.
He was an exceptionally loyal goat, and quite the stubborn head from what Ralph had heard.
Ralph did not think too much about these characters that were no longer important. He focused on the future.
He was the first of Kael’s Primordial Subordinates to achieve Singularity, with a bit of luck.
What no one was talking about or refused to talk about was the master at the top. Kael had access to the abilities of all his Primordial Subordinates.
If Ralph had become a Singularity, it would reflect on Kael’s own powers.
This just meant that the All-King, wherever he was, had gotten another power boost. As for how Singularity Hunting Essence would be used by the All-King, no one knew.
The possibilities were endless just as the risks were piling up.
