Chapter 764: Chapter 764: Court Of Reincarnation

Kael’s fist trembled slightly before becoming calm again.

He continued to look at the image, acting as if he wasn’t deeply distressed by what he had just seen.

But the Law of Wisdom flooded his mind with logical reasoning, causing him to calm down.

He could not lament. He could only take account of what was within his control and what wasn’t.

The strange man whose image dominated the moving imagery swung his hand, throwing Ruda’s body to the side.

Kael’s eyes twitched a bit when he saw this.

Then, the man started muttering something and spoke in short sentences, saying something about how Kael’s enemies were tired of playing around.

Kael watched with glowing eyes. His mind was searching through the system, holding on to Ruda’s identity mark as long as possible.

As Kael watched, he saw the man rush at Eidel. If nothing was done, she would die too.

Just when Kael was about to activate the Conquering Mode Avatar, Memphis showed up and blocked the strange man.

Memphis and the man began to fight and it became clear who was stronger.

The strange man, as Kael had suspected, was a Primordial Cheetah; he had no idea one was alive until now.

This meant that this humanoid male was operating with the Law of Speed as his backing.

"Do we have cheetahs in Original Heaven?" Kael asked coldly.

Jordan nodded, "Yeah, don’t worry, we’ll pay them a visit whenever you’re ready."

Jordan had sensed the faint killing intent that would have burst out of Kael’s body if not for his restraint.

Kael nodded.

He was focusing all his attention on Ruda’s identity mark.

By now, through the watery imagery, Kael could see that Ruda lay in the ground in a puddle of her own blood.

There was a gaping hole in her chest and one could see that her damaged heart had stopped beating.

This was bad.

Very bad.

Ruda was dead.

But her identity mark still flashed in the lion system. Showing that her soul was not yet gone.

Eidel flashed from her position, turning into a ball of fire that rushed to the side of her sister while Memphis engaged the assassin speedster.

Eidel looked down at Ruda’s body, her face stiff as hot tears began to stream down her cheeks. She was too shocked to maintain a sorrowful expression, but her mind had already accepted the reality.

Ruda was dead.

For real.

Speed Essence had infiltrated her body and destroyed everything, not just the organs in her chest.

A consort had truly died.

For the first time, the All-King lost someone who was genuinely close to him.

This loss was perceived by everyone, unbeknownst to the strange cheetah man.

He continued fighting Memphis, unaware that a strange force was brewing in the lion system.

The Conqueror’s Intent faltered for the first time since its creation, it was like the lions all over heaven were standing at a funeral ceremony.

They didn’t know why or who died but they just felt something was not right.

And indeed it wasn’t as the lion system itself began to glitch. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

From who knows where, dozens of Law Essence began to flow through the nodes of the lion system, causing the structure to blink in and out of existence.

Death Essence, Hunting Essence, Fire Essence, Hunger Essence, Law Essence,. Connection Essence, and many more.

They all flowed through and landed directly in Ruda’s body.

Eidel who knelt over the body of her sister stopped her crying when she noticed all the strange colours starting to appear around the stiffening corpse.

"Kael?" She asked no one in particular.

Yes, this was the doing of Kael.

Alas, contrary to her expectations, this was not Kael’s attempt to bring Ruda back to life.

Kael knew himself, he did not have that ability. He did not have the Law of Soul or the Law of Life to make a resurrection perfect.

Kael could only place an insurance policy and a promise.

Her sister was still present which was why her identity mark was still there. Ruda’s soul was holding on to the world of the living with every will she had.

But it wouldn’t be long.

Kael had to do something.

But what could he do?

He didn’t know what he was doing, actually, Kale was just improvising and mixing different laws together to achieve the effect he wanted.

And then, it was done.

Ruda’s soul vanished, entering the stream of souls that would go to mysterious places where their fates would be decided.

But still, Ruda’s identity mark remained in the lion system.

She was dead, but why was her identity mark still in the lion system?

Back in Original Heaven, Kael’s body faltered.

Jordan suddenly appeared behind the All-King and placed his palm on the latter’s shoulder.

Right now, Jordan was not wearing his usual expression of ease. He looked rather frightening as his red eyes stared at the sky.

"Leave him be!" Jordan said, his voice echoing loudly and parting the clouds and waters.

The power of Reincarnation that had begun to settle in the surroundings suddenly retracted to where it had come from.

Such a deadly situation.

If Jordan had not acted on time, Kael may have sent many immortals on a journey of reincarnation.

Why?

Because Kael had not been willing to let Ruda go even after she was dead.

He used many laws and his power of the Spirit to hold on to her soul.

She was dead, but he knew that there was such a thing as life after death. He was a living example that sometimes, death may not be the end.

There was a strong emphasis on ’may’ as not everyone who died actually got to be reincarnated. For most, death was the end of everything, for others, it was just the beginning of a new life.

Kael wanted to be sure of something, and he wanted certainty.

He would never beat himself up for not being there to protect her. He didn’t feel such guilt, but he could at least recognise Ruda’s value and loyalty.

Letting go of a consort was not something he had done before.

If they had fallen off because of their own actions, that was a different thing. But death?

No way?

Kael had conquered death. The very idea that death could steal from him provoked him.

The very fact that someone had been sent to assassinate the family that he had been working hard to build provoked him.

His consorts were an extension of his will and his way of pinning down the world from different angles.

Kael had felt so provoked that he in turn provoked a force that he had never thought he would meet again.

For a few seconds, Ruda’s soul was vanishing.

Two illusory figures had appeared in the Court of Reincarnation. A purple lioness and a golden lion.

It was just for a few seconds but the Court of Reincarnation had been shaken by the deafening roar so loud that the cycle of birth and death had to be stopped.

The King had not let go of his consort, following her soul to the Court of Reincarnation and boldly declaring his presence.

It was defiance, and a promise...

Not to Ruda, but to the Court of Reincarnation.

Reincarnation...

Of course, the Court of Reincarnation was not some cabbage that would take all that lying down.

Kael’s soul was immediately blasted out of the Court and Ruda was left to their mercy.

At the same time, a power from the Court of Reincarnation followed Kael to the Original Heaven, its intent unknown.

However, with five Supreme Level Immortals and thousands of immortals present at the Observation Lake, stylishly protecting Kael, the foreign force retreated.

Not because it wasn’t strong enough, but because it didn’t want to deal with these troublemakers.

Kael, the perpetrator of a crime that would have left others erased from existence, trembled again.

Blood trickled down from his nose, a consequence of all the actions he had just executed.

His mind was confused and it was taking him a while to come back to his senses.

But that look of defiance was still on his face, it never left.

Meanwhile, Alexander and the other Supreme kings shared worried looks with each other.

What Kael had just done was very dangerous and he would have probably faced serious consequences if they had not been here.

"Another one!" Gabriel exclaimed while looking down at the lake.

Down below, the lake was still showing the images of the fight that was ongoing.

Eidel was standing up from the ground with a fierce expression on her face. Memphis was still battling with the cheetah man.

A few auras had rushed over and were heading straight for Memphis and the Cheetah man.

It was also at this time that a dark presence rose from the shadow of the fallen construction shuttle.

"I had known this wouldn’t be an easy job, I didn’t know it would take so long," Said the dark presence as he rushed Memphis, intending to be the final blade for a pincer attack.

Two Primordials against one Memphis.

Things were not looking good.
