Chapter 735: Chapter 735: Gains And Losses

Original Heaven.

On a vast piece of land whose ends could not be seen even with the greatest of visions, a peaceful grassy plain stretched infinitely into the horizon.

The air was cool and moist here, the atmosphere here was a mixture of cold and hot winds that was soothing to almost all creatures.

The distance between the clouds and the land was incredible, about hundreds of thousands of times the distance between the land and clouds of a regular world or planet.

Just being on the ground in the center of these green grassy plains would make one feel the aura of vastness coming from the environment. It was as though the world itself would constantly remind everything and everyone of its seemingly infinite status.

As that was what it could be described as, seemingly infinite.

Walking on this grassy plains were four golden-furred massive lions.

These four lions strolled the grassy plains with an air of majesty befitting the King of Kings.

Every strand of their dark gold manes brimmed with the power to crush nations, flowing effortlessly under the influence of the breeze.

Their paws tapped gently on the ground with every step that they took, leaving a shallow paw print behind them.

Each of them also had beautiful golden eyes that were as mysterious as a night sky filled with golden stars.

They would occasionally look around in different directions, their ears twitching in the direction of the slightest noise.

Suddenly, the four lions stopped walking at the same time.

They wore a puzzled look on their faces.

The scene of Ibadon activating the crystal throne and detonating the weapon flashed through their eyes. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

They stood like that for close to an hour, like statues.

Unmoving.

Then after some time, they blinked their eyes and looked around again before resuming their walk.

However, something was different.

Something was wrong.

One of the lions started walking with heavier steps and naturally assumed the leading position in front of the three other lions.

The leading lion had taken on a completely new disposition.

His eyes were as cold as the depths of Frigid Heaven and his head was lowered in a predatory manner.

Also, the aura surrounding this golden lion became way deeper than the others. Whereas before, all four lions looked almost identical, now, the mannerisms of this first lion set it apart from the rest.

Gradually, the first lion eased up and soon, it was identical to the three other clones once again.

"Sigh," Kael, the first golden lion sighed.

This was no longer a clone. Rather, this was the real deal, the All-King in the flesh.

Kael sighed because he was relieved that his luck had worked out.

The final moments were replayed in his heart over and over again multiple times and Kael remained calm through it all.

Through the eyes of the new immortals, he had confirmed that Ibadon was truly dead and gone.

Although he had not been able to kill that abomination by himself, as long as he was dead, it was fine.

Alas, the loss had been too much.

Kael understood that he probably shouldn’t have sent a swarm of lions at Ibadon. If he hadn’t, the crystal throne would have never taken out so many lions and lionesses.

But at the same time, if he hadn’t sent that swarm, Ibadon would have had easy access to him and who knew what unholy things Ibadon was planning to do with the Primordial Lion.

In that very final moment, Kael had activated every single thing he could activate.

He had consumed red-capped mushrooms, he had covered himself in the armour of the laws themselves.

But they were no match for the power of oblivion.

It wasn’t as if Kael did not have clones outside Leonine Heaven. Kael already had three clones in the mortalverse.

One had been with N’bayé, another had been wandering aimlessly in the void, and the last was on Planet Kareem.

Indeed, Kael had made ample preparations for this kind of thing. Just because he did not talk about his clones did not mean that he did not have them around.

Because they consumed so much Freedom Essence to exist, Kael had to make sure that they were performing as few activities as possible.

The clone with N’bayé had been left behind just in case he was too busy to go down to her mortalverse to train George as they had planned and to also assist in the creation of that god-level artifact.

The clone which had been drifting in space had been deployed shortly after Chloe left.

And the one on Planet Kareem had been there for a short time, having been sent there around the same time that Wei became his consort.

These clones were Kael’s true insurance in case anything happened. He would be able to return provided he had enough Freedom Essence to maintain their continued existence.

Unfortunately, the power of a Supreme Level Immortal combined with that Crystal Throne was too great and unavoidable.

The wave of oblivion didn’t just wipe out Kael’s body, it also erased his soul and every soul linked to it.

This meant that all his clones, which were literally still part of Kael, were instantly erased the same moment the Kael in Leonine Heaven died.

Ibadon did not know that Kael had the power to create clones, so it was probably not because of Kael that he did this. Rather, it should just be a side effect of the terrifying power used to execute that attack.

It made one wonder what the origin of Ibadon’s power was. Why was it so powerful, acting like the mandated eraser for the supposed mistakes of the universe?

Kael had tried, he truly did. But if Noel could not survive, what were his own chances?

The All-King had done everything in his power to wiggle out of Ibadon’s hold.

It was there and then that Kael felt the crushing might of a true Supreme Level Immortal up close.

Thankfully, Kael already had five clones in Original Heaven.

He was lucky.

Kael’s decision to send Ralph to hunt Luck turned out to be a very good one that had already started paying dividends.

This was a very narrow escape for Kael though.

Anything could have happened.

Kael checked his clone’s journey to the Original Heaven and saw that many things were already in place to delay him.

Chez and that fungi planet, anything could have happened. Chez could have acted smart and called his brother, or anyone nearby.

That fungi planet was also an immortal and if it had chosen to attack, Kael may not have died instantly but he would have been delayed.

Or, someone could have found out about Chez’s kidnapping and cursed after Kael.

A group of immortal cats could have been waiting for Kael as soon as he stepped into Original Heaven.

Nothing was set in stone.

It would appear that fate was working against Kael, but that may not be the case.

There were too many mysteries surrounding everything that was happening.

Kael was reluctant to conclude anything yet as he was still assessing his losses and gains from all that had happened.

Firstly, he did not die, which was some good news. Although he had lost three clones and his original body, he had five clones in Original Heaven and Ibadon’s power had not been able to reach here so he could thank heaven for that.

Secondly, eighty-nine new immortals were added to the drastically reduced lion population.

Although, eighty-nine Low Level Immortals could not be compared to the hundreds of billions of lives that were lost, it was still something to note.

It was painful that Ibadon had devoured eleven of those new Immortals before they could wake up on time.

Kael noted this as a loss. It wasn’t like he could collect it back. The person responsible for all this was now dead.

Now, Kael had transformed one of the clones into his new original body which also had his original soul as well as knew one hundred percent of his power.

All the laws and abilities were here with him as well as all the systems. Kael’s existence here in the Original Heaven was the reason why the lion system could still work outside.

With Kael now in Original Heaven, a place where only Immortals were allowed to leave, under conditions at that. Kael’s only way of maintaining control of the rest of his subordinates was through the system.

One of the clones had stayed away from the group some time ago for the sake of diversification. If something happened and all of them were attacked at the same time, that last clone that was somewhere else would be Kael’s saving grace once again.

Kael needed to get stronger, and he needed to do it as fast as possible.

His tier 7 Primordial Singularity status was suddenly no longer efficient. Especially not in this Original Heaven where the House of Luthor would be lurking.

Speaking of which, Kael’s eyes brightened as he stopped walking. The three clones also stopped walking and surrounded Kael.

Still in their golden lion form, Kael waved his paw and summoned the unconscious Chez from his pocket space.

He had been meaning to ask. If Immortals were the only ones allowed to leave Original Heaven, how did Chez come out with Seth?
