Rebound In Time-Chapter 49- Even smaller world 2
Chapter 49 - 49- Even smaller world 2
After spending about a couple more days in the small world, Mitchell noticed some things that were peculiar.
First, the magical beasts hardly ever fought each for food. It appeared that there were nutrients in the snow that survived them. And whenever they ever do fight, it was not an outright bloodshed.
Whoever fought and killed a fellow beasts bad the right to the dead body as claim and no one ever tried to go against the unwritten law.
The coexistence of different beasts living inside on small world side by sides as neighbors was baffling.
Even back on earth, you couldn't go a week without quarreling with your neighbors yet the beasts harmless nature towards each other was astonishing.
Over the couple days, he also noticed something else. Every once in six hours, a gyser bursting out cold air would erupt from the ground beneath them, pushing them up toward the construction up in the sky.
Mitchell had once seen a snow rabbit that was very muscular with sharp jagged teeth actually entered on the holes which the powerful cold air would come out from and lifted the rabbit straight in the other world opposite them.
The look on the rabbit's face was calm which mean it wasn't the first time something like this had happened to it and it knew how to get back if it wanted.
So after careful monitoring and planning, he picked a geyser that would blast him close to the castle since that was probably where the guardian of the small world resides ( just saying though because if I was the guardian I would definitely stay in a huge castle).
At first the problems was the biting cold which was enough to render him immobile for a few minutes if he spent too much time there.
Then there was the trajectory his body would take whenever he jumped into a geyser. Since he did not know how to fly and staying in the air without being able to change direction was dangerous, he had learned the hard way that any small change in direction would render his flight useless and he would fall to the floor ungracefully several meters away and always dust his clothes from the snow.
"The easy part is that the small world is not ridden with a herd of hostile magical beasts. The hard part is that getting you the guardian will be more difficult than if the beasts were actually hostile".
He had noticed that from this high up, the entire sky was covered by jagged terrains and huge hills. The small world did not even have a direction source of light like the sun.
The day will always be day and night will always be night. No moon or stars or whatsoever. He also noticed that the farther away from the castle that was on top of a mountain was, the bigger the possibility he could actually use the geyser to get up there.
At first when he had tried a random geyser, he was sent flying straight into the air for a few seconds before deviating and falling head first into snow.
'It seems there is a force that acts against foreign objects landing on the other side. Since I am not a native here and my energy is different, the small world fools my attempts'.
He wanted to chuckle as even a small world did not want him to succeed simply because he didn't belong.
"The way it seems, those below the golden core realm and could not fly would have a very hard time getting to the other size in the sky".
He had tried asking the beasts for help, even offering some of what he had looked from his spatial ring but they always refused. It was also here that he learned that most magical beasts that had lived long enough could communicate.
Only one beast in particular had agreed to help him on the basis that Mitchell would leave as fast as he could and stop wasting the nutrients that the guardian usually gave them.
It had an eagle head with a lions body and the normal hawks feet, it twice as big as Mitchell and had a very great affinity to snow.
It introduced itself as selia and Mitchell introduced himself as crimson purple. The alias he had been given in the trial lands.
"Is it because of the murderous aura of one of our one or because of the world slayer".
Selia asked but Mitchell had no idea what meant by world slayer. "Do you mean to say god?".
"Whatever you're race calls them". Selia shrugged them asked for Mitchell to climb on her back which he excitedly obliged.
He had never ridden on a magical beast before and even better, he had never flown before so this was an opportunity he couldn't miss and had to enjoy.
She took off immediately and flew at rapid speed comparable to a jet towards the castle hanging upside down in the sky.
When they had reached high enough that Mitchell could hardly see the floor clearly, he started to feel a force that turned his stomach and pushed them closer to the castle.
Mitchell noticed that his centered of gravity had changed and that the gravity he felt pushing him towards the ground was now pushing them towards the castle.
Mitchell suddenly felt like throwing up at the rapid change that affected his internals. He even had a hard time seeing. The change in gravity hit him pretty bad.
Selia seemed to ignore this change and instead began to slow down their speed which was so fast that he couldn't see anything without seeing a blur.
Selia looked and him and seeing the condition he was in. "Ahh, you must be feeling very uncomfortable since this is your first time. And it seems you're race physical capabilities are pitiful".
"True". Mitchell couldn't hell but agree as he held his stomach which was threatening to release all that it had held since this morning.
The landing was far from graceful but Mitchell bearded it. When he got down from Selia's back, he looked at the sky to see that it was the ground and it looked very far up.

If he had not actually come from the ground he would think that it was actually the sky since the white of snow and the climatic conditions go hand-in-hand.
Talking into account the speed of their fall and the jagged, rocky, snowy mountain would have killed him if he had not gotten a ride from Selia. He thought to have dodged a bullet and thanked Selia for the hell she had given him.
She nodded her head before saying "Actually there is something I want. I want that shiny thing that can attack you or defend you on its own".
Mitchell was expecting it so he gave it to her with no further thoughts even though it hurt his pockets badly.
The had naturally asked for a attacking and a defensive talisman she had seen Mitchell offer her at one point. She took an interest in them when Mitchell explained to her its uses.
She wanted to know how someone could store attacks and defensive arts into such a small . . . thing.
"Watch out for the World lord. She doesn't like welcomed guesses so try and get permission before entering her castle. Also the sky is different from the earth. The magical beasts here are different. They will give you if given a chance so I advise you go straight to the Lord of the World domain first". She said as she flapped her huge wings and took off.
'I was already planning too. I am on a time limit and staying in this small world for some time has drawn me back. Wait did she say she'. She called the Guardian the Lord of the world because she was the most powerful being she had ever seen.
