Rebound In Time-Chapter 43- Trouble maker
Chapter 43 - 43- Trouble maker
It took a lot of begging and pleading before the middle aged man calmed down and did not throw the small ball of red light.
"Humph, I wouldn't have thrown it anyways. It would also kill that young man with him. His actions interest me greatly. If he can reach the top and enter the academy I'll gladly take him as my next disciple." The man said then folded his hands, sat down and continued to watch. Popcorn even appeared in his hands.

The beautiful woman gave a sigh of relief.

Mitchell was still surprised that he could use inscriptions like so. And it showed on his face.
"Is it me or are you more dumber than the regular cultivators. Anyways. I'll see you on the other side. By the other side I mean the academy." He said then warped away.
Mitchell was still surprised and it took him a few seconds before he realized the others words.
He sounded so carefree like he was already in the academy and it made no sense his pattern of talking. It made him sound like a little kid no older than Mitchell.
Meanwhile,
The middle aged man warped and was far away from Mitchell's location, he giggled like a little child before his appearance changed to someone who was a little older than Mitchell and was equally handsome. His short hair moved in the wind.
He opened his hand a spatial ring could be seen, he giggled again and he opened it to find that it was empty. It was one of the many spatial ring that Mitchell had looted. He had emptied the contents a long time but still held on to it since it could hold some value if some sort.
When the middle aged man had showed him the inscription, he also used it as an avenue to swipe the contents in his spatial ring and when he saw the large amount spatial rings he thought to have reached the jackpot and picked the one that looked the most expensive and valuable since that would be where the important treasures would be.
Unknown to him, Mitchell's real spatial ring which was on his left hand and looked quite plain and even resembled a normal ring was where all the important treasures where.
He had just stolen an empty ring." Oh, dang it. I wasted such an opportunity". He gritted his teeth and looked towards the sky.
"I bet grandmaster would have found out am here again and probably be thinking of a way to punish me. Hehehe, he thought by changing the inscriptions patterns and making it random he would be able to stop me. He also thought that by adding a fake age and power level detector hee would be able to know when am coming. Hah, as if." He laughed evilly and brought out an apple from his . . . inscriptions and took a bite out of it. "I better be going" and he left after an inscription enveloped him in a bright golden light.

"He thinks he can waltz in and out anytime he likes, I'll show him" The middle aged man clenched his fingers until they turned white but no power came out. He only clenched them in frustration and then sighed. He didn't know what to do with this granddisciple of his.

Over the next few days things continued as normal, killings were now natural and Mitchell was always on alert in case of any situation.
With him alone, watching his own back was tough. He came to realized why the voice suggested they team up, cause it would really increase their chances greatly.
But alas he was alone again and had no idea where Ange was and if she was even still alive. He would like to bet that she was still alive. She was almost as strong as him.
Almost
But that didn't mean she could hold her own against him, but not for too long, and with the new techniques he had, the fight may as well be over.
He had used the cave that the middle aged man kindly left for him to finally check all the items that he had looted. And there was quite a lot but not that much to really impress him.
There were several techniques mostly from the old people he killed to take their bags and there were other items like stones that possessed some qi within them. They looked like they were glowing with blue veins on them and they were all disc like in shape.
He didn't know the uses for now so he decided to keep them. As for most of the technique he would find a way to dump them since he had no need or interest to learn them. His purple god technique was far better than them.
There was also a large number of coins that he found among them. With this many coins he wouldn't need to be broke for a long time. And there was also the matter of food. It was true that a cultivator could live several days without food, weeks even and with Mitchell that time was extended. But you still needed to eat, while spirit Qi could provide nourishment for the body for a days. Not eating and letting the world energy feed you was bad as your body could break from the withdrawal of real food and the intake of spirit Qi.
So every once in a while, if he came across a creature that looked edible and he had no problem killing it, he would store the meat in his spatial ring since inanimate things would remain the same way as he kept them. It could last for weeks and would show no signs of spoiling unless he brought it out from the ring.
As he was almost done with his search, he saw a azure slip in one of the spatial ring. No other contents were inside except for a map of the trial lands and few coins.
Clearly the owner was as broke as Mitchell was.
He imprinted his senses into the slip and what he saw made him shake in fear. He checked again to be very sure. And when he saw it was he started breathing heavily.
What he saw inside was a golden sword made of golden light slash at him. The power of the slash could not be determined but Mitchell knew it was a power he had never seen before. It was more powerful than a cultivator in golden core realm and above. He knew this was beyond his level of power and he paled. He just saw the golden sword slash in a vertical motion towards him and then that was it.
It did not hit him before his vision had blackened.
"This was not even real but a memory and yet it contains this much power". Mitchell said as his body gained back its usual color.
Jack had told him all about memories. They were recalls that a cultivator transferred from his head to a slip. But nobody normally did that in the middle of a fight since it was simply dumb. The owner must've been very tired of life or just stupid to record it than save himself.
